The Krebs - Menü

Staff were friendly, food was good. The interior is dark, and curtains were nearly closed. Walls are a dark color, as is the ceiling and the floor. A bit oppressive rather than cozy and warm. The bread choices were delicious- cheddar chive corn muffins and onion focaccia bread. I started off with a cocktail called The Belmont. It's a bourbon drink. It was my favorite part of the meal! For my entree, I ordered the blackened salmon. The veggie purée and the zucchini ribbons were delicious. The salmon was a good size portion and the flavor was wonderful but it was dry. Went to Krebs for Easter brunch today. The decor, design, and appearance of the Krebs is very classy and without a stuffy feeling. It's an enjoyably setting. Despite the fantastic ambiance, the service is just ok and they still lack in some very important to detail items. The service staff is mostly made of of 20 year old kids, despite their age they do an ok job. They lack the experience and knowledge you would expect here. First question was regarding a menu item and the 20 something old waiter had no clue about the menu item.......My eggs benedict came out cold, I had to ask them to remove dirty dishes, and 1-2 times I was looking for the waiter to order another drink. The Krebs is a beautiful establishment, from the decor to the food to the staff. We had a 6:30 reservation for 7 people- and we didn't leave until after 9:30. We did feel that the bar and kitchen were a bit behind which was odd as the dining room was near empty when we arrived. Our drink order of 3 wines, 2 beers and one cocktail took around 15 minutes to get. Our server was very attentive and kept checking in- but again with the limited tables sat we did find the wait odd.
