"A good Greek, in Montabaur, no longer exists. The beautiful weather led me to explore a replacement. The Olympos came to me in Andernach, last visited 2 years ago, now about 30 years old and know me almost for so long by regular visits. In summer weather there was a lot of traffic on the streets, riders rarely stumble. From the 3 to 4 private parking lots there was actually still a free one, the parking lot in the yard does not seem to exist anymore. New is also a covered outside corner for the smokers. Inside is a kind of conservatory, without winter, without garden, but bright through the windows and white walls, pictures of Greece, pillar arches and a few godheads convey a small Greek country. It follows the counter to the left, to the right start further tables, the further you come to the back, the darker it will. Light, air, sun are for me Greece, according to the statement "free space choice" in the prevented winter garden and let me warm the back from the sun. Yes, it is bright here, and there you can also see the traces of the teeth of time. The cracks in walls, repaired electrical lines, partially incompletely hidden under plaster or not completely professionally hidden in cable channels. Particularly noteworthy are the scratched and shredded chairs with their still halfway comfortable upholstery, but colorlessly no longer matching covers. Only the bright tablecloth brings some kindness into play. A friendly service brings me the rather thick card and is later comforted with the beverage selection. The card has the Greek standard program, and prices are partially cancelled. On page 1, 3 menus with 2 courses are offered between 16 and 19 €. Desserts are located mainly at 5 to 6 € with a relatively large selection, Erdinger Weizen 3,90 €, Greek wines from 3,50 €. Some dishes are particularly pointed out how the daily soup is available on the Gyross soup at 2 €, in self service, the highly praised Zaziki or the monopoly. It used to be the 3 fresh cheese preparations. My choice: Gyrossuppe 4 € Beef liver normal with the special request some Gyros and Zaziki 12.80 € 0.25 l Retsina 3.50 € The retsina is made of a carafe in a small cup and is easy to drink after a short warming, but no revelation. The monopoly soup is served in a large depth plate on a bottom plate. Hot, good smell. First taste impression: a strong chicken soup. This is probably on the many fat eyes on top and the included soft rice, with plenty of parsley. Meat is sparingly contained and of course not of chicken, but soft gros. Mediterranean spices and an increasing sharpness are noticeable after a short time, the taste is pleasant. I'd order it again. 4 stars An additional salad follows. A mountain herb salad, on which there is a good peperoni, a few thin tomato slices, about 5 cm thinn cut uncut! Fresh yes, standard dressing on herbal salad, tomatoes ok, but also for desalination no scattering on the table, the undamaged curken gedons is actually an interpretation, I also do not order a mirror egg with a bowl. Actually, the Zaziki should have been at the Gyros, but it was already on the supplement. Nice creamy, almost creamy, perfectly tasted, the highlight that brings the salad to 3 stars. That's how it could have gone on and also. But first it comes differently, and secondly there was liver and gros, with patties. I believe that homemade patates can never taste and never taste sooo tired, even the special spice salt could not wake them up, 90% went back to sleep in the kitchen. The liver was a cut large piece, filled with onions, with roasted flavors and the slightly smokey taste of the charcoal grill, but too dry. There was also a high tendon share. But the special desire was impossible Gyros. Half could not be taken with the fork due to consistency, the rest was f...dry. Shade, formerly, gyros and liver were the rocks in the sense of constant quality... There's only one star today. The service recognized my inactive session, but was surprised when the large remaining quantity. Unfortunately, the issue of satisfaction could not be answered positively by me regarding the main dish, the transfer to the kitchen was promised. The desired invoice was delivered immediately, no extra charge for my special requests, and an Ouzo was offered. However, the communication of criticism of the kitchen took longer, so I left the restaurant without doping. Conclusion: A good soup and a large Zaziki are too little recommended for me if Greek foundations and past strengths of the place do not vote."

"This is a completely unexpected discovery in Andernach. We have seen some brief mentions of it in the press and decided to try it and we were not disappointed. It is Asian fusion – well made and not diluted or unfocused, as some fusion sites can be. The menu is well aligned with a good variety and we have selected a five course menu – perfect for our timing after a long day. They present the menu through the four elements that help people navigate through the tapas type dishes. I like what I like, just chosen accordingly. The beef Carpaccio starter was really delicious – with a sweet tangy dressing; Hiram fish was well composed with beautiful shrimps of radishes, Wasabi cream (I think), and a lime sauce; Lemongras prawn soup was beautiful, but nothing spectacular; River trout with mushrooms had an interesting taste game with a savory accompanying broth. The service team is efficient and create an unpredictable environment to enjoy your meal. We had a few glasses of wines with our meal and the bill came to about € 180, which presents a good value for quality and innovation. We really enjoyed the meal here and so glad we found this star gem. We'll come back here. And there is also another Michelin-Start-Sister-Restaurant (Italian) next door with another (French) planned for next year along with a high-end hotel all from the same owner - this small corner Andernach will soon become a foodie destination!"
