"I loved how you could see chef Martin cooking in the front section of the restaurant. Everything I ordered was absolutely exquisite. We got the crab cakes as a starter and the filet mignon with the lobster, which is the best steak I’ve ever eaten. I will most definitely be back for it again."

"otherwise Thai is the best Thai food in my local area opposite by far! it is a small dining room and ends sometimes full, but it is worth it! the personal is so friendly and attentive, even in the nights where they are weakened. so far everything we tried on the menu was unbelievable. my personal favorites are the pad thai, rad naa and tom yum suppe. the bathrooms are clean and accessible. we are here regularly!"

"Two friends and I had dinner at Maya Bistro. We were served flatbread with a black olive spread. Delicious. Two of us shared the mixed grill platter for 2 – 55.00. The platter had plenty of food and it was tasty. The other person in our group got the Maya spreads trio baba ganoush, hummus, patlican kozleme. We enjoyed the spreads on the bread. We ate a lot of bread. She also got the moussaka which she liked. Everything was well prepared especially the meat on the platter. Over cooked meat ruins it for me. The meat was not dry at all. The cook did a wonderful job. We were there for an early dinner on a weekend so there were not many people there. The restaurant was quiet. The staff were very nice and attentive."

"You can definitely get a quick and convenient Korean food fix from BIBIMIX! It's not what I would consider the most authentic Korean food but it definitely hits the spot when you have street food cravings. The kimbap was yummy and the chicken was a surprising win! Some of the wings were more pink than I was comfortable with but the skin was crispy and flavorful. The kimchi pancake was a bit thick but it was chewy and spicy. Overall, I wish they had a few more authentic options since I think they would sell significantly more food."

"Peet's has the best espresso in town, but what makes this location so special are the employees. I just picked up a coffee for myself and the barista, the sweetest human ever, offered a pup cup for my dog without me even asking. If you know anything about Shirlington, you understand how much we love our dogs *and animals in general*. I didn't catch her name but just wanted to express my gratitude for how welcome they always make us feel. Thank you, your gesture made my day and definitely my pup's day :"

"I want to like this place as a local family owned business, but unfortunately can't trust their freshness and safety practices.TWICE in the last week I've gotten home with a sandwich only to find green mold on the bread I don't know how long they let things sit around, but they clearly don't monitor this. It was two different kinds of bread, and when I mentioned the first instance the person at the deli gave me a blank look English skills can be a big challenge here, and staff are often busy talking to each other.I also had a situation a few weeks ago where I got beer home, and after noticing a funny taste looked at the bottom of the can and saw it had been canned over a YEAR ago. After that, I've gone in a few times, and now check expiration dates on anything before purchasing, and have found packaged cookies and cheese on multiple occasions past their expiration date. Same reaction when I mentioned to the staff: acting like they didn't understand what I was telling them.I tried to give this local family business as many second chances as reasonable, but unfortunately, there's little interest (or ability? to change and improve. I understand higher costs are impacting everyone and throwing out product is bad, but selling past date products is much worse. After today's mold sandwich let's hope I don't get sick...not even bothering going back this time."

"Earls is a sandwich haven in Clarendon that has been serving succulent pork loin, house roasted turkey, and choicest roast beef for 20 years. After craving a homemade, unique sandwich spot for months, I can confidently say that Earls has the best solid, savory sandwiches in Arlington. Their Codwich is also a standout option."

"Ordering online and having it delivered was a very good experience. Getting what I ordered was a bit different. I ordered the Italian sub with no onions, no peppers and no pickles. All three were on it Thank goodness the taste didn 't saturate into the bun too much before I could get them off. No lettuce or tomatoes comes on it either and I should have requested them. I also got the Mikes Philly WITH NO peppers. Wrong! Looks like they had originally put the peppers in it and then tried to take them out. It still had a few left in it. These people want bigger pay at these places and still can 't get a simple order right on a sandwich. I would also suggest that the choices for 'toppings ' when ordering online have a green or red box to check for yes or no for adding them on the sandwich. Having an x or a can be confused too easily when in a rush or during a busy time. The sandwiches would have been very good had they been made like I ordered them. I guess the workers still aren 't getting paid enough to just make a simple order per customer request. UPDATE: I was invited to talk with John, the owner, about my disappointing experience. I made the call and unfortunately John wasn 't there, but I did talk with a very delightful and understanding manager who I think was named Tray ? . Anyhow, we had a very pleasant conversation and it seems that Grub Hub may have been at the bottom of the problem, but the manager wanted to make it right. I had no idea Grub Hub was the ' middle man ' when ordering online for delivery. I want to thank Tray ? and John for the attention they showed to this situation and it really shows just how a good business operates and stays successful. Thank you both for showing how much you care about your customers. I will be back for sure. I have changed my rating to 5 Stars. Thank you again."

"Such a cute place with a wonderful menu of coffees and sandwiches, a full display of pastries like cakes and scones. The cappuccino was probably one of the smoothest I’ve ever had, I can tell the quality is top notch. The milks were also top quality and they had non dairy options like almond and oat. We orders a variety of sandwiches from the menu, including the vegan Italian sausage breakfast sandwich, which my son said was amazing! The owner was very welcoming and overall this cozy coffee shop is a gem of a place!Vegetarian options: Hummos, vegan sausage, avocado toast."

"that was not our first visit, I love mercury! from their eating to their service it is always excellent. this time I have booked specially to see the fireworks from the inside because we have a baby and younger children! Unfortunately, the main fireworks were not visible from the side we were, so that our struggling areas could be seen or not even seen. we saw other fireworks in the far away through the night. I would definitely book again and ask to be on the other side of the restaurant! our waiter was great!"

"We ate at The Carlyle last night for the first time in many years. It is improved from the Covid days but still has a ways to go to return to her previous glory. The service was good, not amazing. The food was very good and doesn’t have too far to go but the crowds are still smaller which means the best dishes will not return until they can sell enough of them to merit it. It is recovering though which is a first step. They really need to start charging an 18 percent tip on every bill so they can keep the great waiters and waitresses they have had! Maybe do a Grand reopening and bring back some of the more expensive menu items! The place needs help! The Manager never comes by to check like they once did when the place was awesome! Please make some changes GAR! We will come back! But the way things are now. Your just not on our reliable list! Sorry!"

"We decided to try Sunday Brunch.. we did AYCE w/ cocktails only being $0.25 each. Food was deeeeelicious!! I had their **** Mary and it had the perfect amount of kick to it. My Hubby and friends tried a few of their other cocktails/mimosa loved it as well. We decided on this brunch location due to a recommendation. Only wish we had a heads up of how small the tables were since we had 4 adults and 4 kids (5 under). It was a bit of a mess with the kids but other than that, it was great!! Hoping we can get a babysitter next time so we can really enjoy this spot!!"

"A true gem of Arlington. We've lived in the Atown for 12 years and Mr Sushi has been our go-to... our rock for the entire time. The straight-ahead, unpretentious Japanese menu never fails to satisfy. I write this very review as I am polishing off some salmon, shrimp, and unagi nigiri with some oshitashi (spinach), edamame, and shumai on the side. Delicious! When you order togo they are always polite and friendly on the phone. They get your order right and they pack it up really nicely. When you go into the restaurant the servers are friendly and efficient. They get to you quickly and the food usually comes quickly. One thing I really like is the ambience... the lighting is subdued but not dim and they play really good jazz... not smooth, adult contemporary, mind you... but quality stuff that compliments the menu beautifully. Obviously, I am a big fan of Mr Sushi... which, despite its sort of laughable name, is a very solid, tasty, cozy, friendly place to eat. 5 stars"

"Went out for a Sunday brunch with a small group of 6. We made reservations a couple of weeks in advance on the advice of one of the members of our party. And all in all, it was a good, but not great experience We found out way through the Arlington neighborhoods until we came across Ruthies. A cute storefront just adjacent to an apartment complex. We were fortunate to find a parking spot out back and we 're able to marvel at the large offset Smokey out back which is always a positive sign for a restaurant. Upon checking in we started to realize the downside of this restaurant. The service. Poorly greeted by the hostesses and left to stand aimlessly in a overcrowded foyer area, we waited to be escorted to our table. We would have milled about outside, but unfortunately it was approximately 2000 degrees outside. After only a few minutes, we were escorted to our seats. The interior design was lovely and all of us were excited for our meal. The menus were unceremoniously handed to us and we began to peruse our options. Absolutely everything looked outstanding. The waiter came by as we were reviewing the choices and was visibly irritated when we asked for additional time. With a huff he turned on a heel and walked away. Ultimately I decided to try the Nice Salmon salad. Others tried the apple pie pancakes, the Ruthies Big Plate, the burger, and the brisket Bennie. My wife chose to have a collections of sides as a simple meal. I asked to have no egg and no potato crisp on my salad, but if possible, I desired extra anchovies. To which I received some fairly critical commentary from the waiter. seriously? Was actually stated. l. And then rolling of eyes. He was similarly taken aback my my wife 's orders. he was haughtily dismissive that we designed to tailor our choices. It was all I could do to not respond with a snippy retort to knock him down a peg So, having our palates soured by the entry into the meal our food was soon presented. Everything looked wonderful. The presentation was spot on. The apple pie pancakes looked like something right out of a confectioner 's dream. The burger was exclaimed to be the best burger ever by one who has had their share of burgers. The other row dishes were quickly devoured so it 's likely the commentary was limited given the voracious mess of the eating. The my salad was wonderful despite no egg, no crisps and with the extra anchovies . The salmon was cooked perfectly as well. So, to wrap this up Ruthies is a nice location for a meal. The food is above average on whole, with some particularly good selections. If they could work with their staff to make the expertise enjoyable on a human interaction level, it would certainly be a four star locale. Not going to hurry back anytime soon"

"When I was new in the area, I asked a barista in one of the local cafes when he knew good local restaurants and the first place he mentioned was Olympic Pizza. I had her chicken finger several times and as someone who feels like she didn't taste good food in a while, that was just mouthwater. The chicken fingers were hot and crispy, cooked to order. I'm originally from Miami and got my chicken finger wraps from the Publix, so that's a big compliment! I recently had her Chicken Slouvaki Pita and it met my expectations. Absolutely impressed by this place. I wish this kind of spot existed in most corners to be honest!"

"This is a disappointment for sure. I spent 15 dollars on a meal that was brought out to me in 5 minutes in a metal tin with day old chicken and over cooked udon noodles. I go to restaurants for an elevated culinary experience and I feel like places that do this underhanded not actually fresh food and don't even have the care to bring the elements in the dish to uniform temperature are really shady and annoying. I recognize that i spent a while in the food industry and i have higher standards that most but With so many decent Thai places in this area this would be one to avoid."

"Went here with my sister for dinner and everything was great! It was our first time and one of the staff walked us through how to order. The portions were a nice size. Everything was flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The pita bread was good fluffy. I gotthe chicken shawarma, mushrooms, pasta salad, and roasted cauliflower. My sister got the lamb kabob, spicy hummus, broccoli, andpasta salad. If you order meat, they cook it and bring it out to your table. The service was quick, and everything wasdelicious. It was hard to choose 3 sides cause everything looked good. Was around $40 for two."

"Came here for the first time tonight with a coworker while in town, you walk in and you can immediately smell the wood. The place was clean and the setup was great. The drinks were delicious but didn 't capture those unfortunately. Service was great, I like that she didn 't hound us every five minutes and said ok let me know if you need anything else , and would very minimally come by to see if we were good.(that 's a plus in my book, not a negative because if I need something I 'll make eye contact or put my hand up to get their attention as we weren 't the only people in the building) If I lived in DC I 'd be back here almost weekly. Collards were a TAD salty, but if that 's the only complaint, HEYO! My coworker and I were talking about prices, but let 's be honest, it 's DC, most things are pricey esp for good food. Oh and the dude playing golf, he concentrated so long that he had to have won the game."

"The restaurant is located conveniently off Bowen Road, across from Tom Thumb. The parking lot is very small and cramped. When I ordered a slice of pie, the waitress handed it to me in a broken Styrofoam take-out container. Unfortunately, the food made me sick and I'm not sure if it was due to cleanliness or a bad experience. One waitress was rude while the other was very professional. Overall, I probably won't be returning. The food was hot, but the biscuits were missing and my stomach felt off after the meal."
