"Honestly, the food is pretty good, but the reason I felt inclined to leave a review is because when our server took our order, it wasn't written down, but memorized. Hey, if you can do it, more power to you! But....when our order came and they brought shrimp tacos, instead of the chicken tacos we ordered, we made them aware of the error. The server did offer to replace the tacos with chicken, but we didn't want this meal to go to waste. Plus, at the beginning of our night, we were told a reservation was coming and we needed to be gone by X time so we didn't want to wait for the corrected meal and feel rushed. The server apologized for the mistake and brought over a single chicken taco, unprompted by us. At the end of the night when we received the bill, I saw that we were charged for the shrimp tacos that again, we never ordered. When I ask the server if we could get it corrected since it wasn't our fault that she didn't write down our order and it came out wrong, she said she'd ask the manager. When she came back, she told us that because the shrimp tacos were eaten and she didn't charge us for the single chicken taco, that it wasn't their fault anymore and there was nothing they could do. Sure, it's only a $7 difference, but it was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth, but hey at least it wasn't from the food! Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"Ralph Kacoo' s is tucked away in a strip mall and you might miss it if you aren't looking for it. I stopped by for lunch one day while in town for work.<br/ <br/ The atmosphere is classic Louisiana decor with a large aquarium separating the foyer and dining area. The dining area itself has large roomy and comfortable booths, which I took advantage of. I enjoyed the Louisiana music and the lowered lighting. <br/ <br/ I ordered the Fresh Catch, which today included two grilled grouper fillets, topped with a bechemel sauce and grilled shrimp. The order was rounded out by home fried potatoes and a broccoli rice and cheese casserole. <br/ <br/ The starters of biscuits and hush puppies, honestly, I didn't try them because I wanted to save room for a dessert. <br/ <br/ My server was very attentive and polite, no complaints at all in that respect.<br/ <br/ My food was served promptly and hot. The fish was melt in your mouth tender and the bechemel was luscious. The shrimp were grilled perfectly and a little shake of Tony's seasoning rounded out a pleasing flavor. The home fries at first appeared like they might be dry, but that's just the blackening seasoning. They were tender and juicy, with a great flavor, and I ate every one. I did not care for the broccoli casseole, and should have substituted something else but overlooked that detail.<br/ <br/ My tea glass was filled without having to ask, and <br/ overall service was very good.<br/ <br/ As I was reviewing my dessert choices, the bottom fell out of the sky, and I had plenty of driving to do. So after a quick consult of radar, and determining i could drive my way ahead of the storm, I decided to forego dessert.<br/ <br/ This was a great dining experience for lunch, but I can see how dinner could be quite pricey. I found the food quality to be quite good and would recommend based on my experience to anyone."

"I am anxiously awaiting the opening of the Shreveport location! Finding fresh healthy food in the area is quite a challenge and Don Juanz offers a good alternative to the fried seafood and gross Tex-Mex found locally. The reviews are all over the place on Don 's, I do understand to a point. Many complain regarding price, Don 's has responded that the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost. Both sides have a legitimate view, yes the quality is there in the fish but the portion size is not. This is a fast casual restaurant with a walk up order counter, a customer spending $15-$20 expects to leave full and satisfied. Sushi grade tuna is awesome, you just get more for the money at a sushi bar or in the Tuna Tini at Walk-On 's or a seared Ahi  tuna salad at any number of 'sit down ' restaurants. <br <br My take is the food is good, not great. The quality of the fish and grilling is spot on, seasonings not as much. The atmosphere is fine, especially for a fast casual place. Service has been hit or miss, I 'm guessing depending on the presence of the owner. <br <br A plea to Don Juanz:<br For a short while DJ 's management owner was responding to Urban Spoon reviews booth positive and negative. While I didn 't totally agree with all the responses they were much appreciated! Very, I mean Very few local restaurants respond to reviews and unfortunately DJ 's ceased about the time of the switch-over to Zomato. Please come back Don Juan! This forum needs you and other restaurateurs to make this a place where foodies and providers can talk about what they love. You might even find a thing or two to improve your business as you converse with the ones that frequent your establishment. See you in Shreveport..."
