"We've been driving from Papa's for years and never stopped. After seeing a post on Facebook and reading the reviews on Google, we decided to go to my birthday. The pictures of the food looked good, but the appearance can fool. For the beginnings of what I suspect, the owner and his wife were close to us to talking about the business that they did not speak of close customers. The waiting staff also spoke loud enough for us to hear about things. It was very unprofessional. If the staff had spent less time talking and more time doing it, our service would have been better. I'll explain. Our order was Stuffed Mushrooms, Antipasto A'la Papa Joe, Chicken Cognac and New York Strip Palmero. The Antipasto A'la Papa Joe was good, but we had asked for the Gorgonzola and anchovies on the side when I was the only one who likes them on my salad. The problem was when the antipasto came out the gogonzola and anchovies. Our waitress said they got some fresh gogonzola for us. When she brought it to us, the salad was almost gone. I wasn't sure why you would deliver food to a table that wasn't complete. Our main dishes came to us and they looked good, but again they looked foolish. Start with the NY Strip. The steak had no taste, it was only not a good meat cut, even with the peppers, onions and cheese it did not help. Chicken Cognac was a chicken breast that spiced in a very bland bread crumb. It was so gloomy that it removed from the cognac sauce that was good. The taste was so different when you mixed the two, it just made the whole dish inconspicuous. For my birthday, they gave me a Mini Cannoli. Thank God, that was the best part of the whole meal. As for our waitress, she was very disorganized and not quite very friendly I would use the term fake friendly. We had to ask for refills several times. She would disappear for a long time. We had to wait over fifteen minutes to get our card back. It was ridiculous. Never once were we asked by someone how our food was. The owners went around and you would think as owners you would want to talk to your customers to get input. I guess not. The interior is beautiful and clean, so there is. I will not come back and be honest, I am surprised how busy this place is sometimes. I guess people don't know how good Italy tastes. Answer to the answer from restaurant. I would ask why the owner wasn't out to meet guests to see things where okay? As I said in my review, the owner and his wife went around to talk to each other so I could not see why they could not meet with the guest."

"I've had barbecue from various regions across the country, including Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas—wherever you can find it, I've probably tried it. It might sound unbelievable, but the small red grill trailer next to the mobile station on Highway 19 serves the best BBQ I've ever had. Let me emphasize my favorite part of the meal: the brisket. Many BBQ places boast about their brisket, but if you have to work hard to chew it, that's not good brisket. The brisket at LaurieCue was perfectly seasoned, lightly smoky, and so juicy it practically melted in my mouth. My only regret was not ordering more; I could easily have eaten 20 pounds of it! The ribs were everything I had dreamed of—juicy, lightly seasoned, and with a perfectly tailored smoky flavor throughout. To be honest, I wasn't willing to share them! The pulled pork sandwich was also delicious, loaded with tender, juicy pork. Notably, there was no sauce on the sandwich, and it didn't need any at all. I also want to mention the macaroni and cheese, which my daughter loved and she is quite picky about this dish. She practically polished off her entire serving and declared it one of her favorites! I can't stress enough how great the food was. I don’t want to go on too long, but LaurieCue is truly top-notch when it comes to BBQ. Our meals were ready within minutes of ordering, and the service was outstanding, with staff who genuinely seem to enjoy their work. They answered all our questions with a smile. Now, about the sauces: I'm not a fan of sauce on my BBQ. I prefer to let the preparation and flavor of the meat shine through. While they offer several sauces for those who like them, I believe the meat holds its own completely without any additional condiment. Everything was so juicy and flavorful that I think the sauces would have only masked its natural taste. As for the location, I’ve included the address and phone number in one of the pictures. It’s just north of Highway 50 on Highway 19, in the parking lot of the mobile gas station. Place your order, and you can thank me later!"
