"We stumbled on this restaurant in a jet lagged state after a big day of cycling. We speak very little French and the waitress spoke no English but with sign language we communicated with ease. We both had a large salad (one with smoked fish and one with ham/cheese) generous portions and exactly what we wanted, served with bread on the side. Reasonably priced too, around CHF 20 which were coming to understand is quite cheap! Lots of variety on the menu. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal feeling very satisfied with our choice."

"Disappointed and this is not the first time by the service... a disaster. The waitresses are unpleasant, don't know how to organize themselves, with my husband we had Chinese fondue galore, super good but on the other hand we had to wait 30 minutes to get the fries as an accompaniment, then for a while we had to get up from ourselves to ask for meat because very small plate (plenty) for 2. (which in fact my husband was ignored by an elderly waitress) We were not the only ones to have to get up to recommend a few things, 2 other customers had to do so after several signs from their tables. I would like to say a word about meat, a lot of nerves about beef! This doesn't really make you want to have the fondue again, which is a shame because we were regulars, we were oblivious to the poor quality of the service but this was too much."

Tatsächlich war die Dekoration authentisch und rustikal mit antiken Holzstühlen und Tischen, die dem Ort eine angenehme Atmosphäre verleihen. Wir waren begeistert, Fondue zu haben!Leider begann sich dieser gute erste Eindruck zu ändern, als wir von einem desinteressierten und respektlosen Kellner bedient wurden, einer älteren schwarzen Dame. Sie lächelte nicht und begrüßte uns nicht.Sie verteilte die Speisekarten und ging sofort und schien an einem anderen Tisch zu sitzen. Als wir bei der Bestellung zögerten, ging sie sofort. . . !Wir fragten uns, ob es dieser Dame an Schulungen im Kundenservice mangelte (oder sogar an grundsätzlicher Höflichkeit! ? Vielleicht hat die Schwarze von einer Immunität profitiert?Während dieser ganzen Zeit waren wir höflich, geduldig und gaben den Vorteil des Zweifels. Die anderen Kellner waren normal und schienen etwas zu entschädigen. Tatsächlich haben wir sogar nach einem anderen Fondue gefragt!Das Schlimmste passierte jedoch, als die ältere schwarze Dame zurückkam, um die Flamme des Fondue-Brenners mit meinem Messer zu löschen! Dann warf sie das Messer lässig zurück auf den Tisch und ging prompt. Was ist gerade passiert? ? Ich sah meine Freunde ungläubig an. Als wir die Dame konfrontierten, sagte sie, das sei normal! Ihr Argument war: Wir brauchen keine Gabel und kein Messer für das Fondue, deshalb könnte sie das Messer benutzen, um die Flamme zu löschen. Unser Argument war: Ein Kellner sollte kein Kundenbesteck verwenden, um so etwas zu tun. Und woher weiß sie, ob ich das Besteck nicht für Fondue verwenden oder den bestellten Salat teilen möchte? Außerdem haben wir nicht einmal erwähnt, wie gefährlich dies sein kann (Verbrennungsgefahr . Warum nicht die Serviette an ihrer Taille benutzen, um unseren Mund abzuwischen (wir bleiben höflich , da sie es nicht benutzt hat?Am Ende haben wir das zusätzliche Fondue storniert und nach der Rechnung gefragt. Wieder war die Dame unglaublich respektlos, entschuldigte sich nicht und stritt weiter mit uns. Sie warf schließlich die Rechnung (in eine Holzkiste auf den Tisch, die auf die Teller schlug. Schockierendes und inakzeptables Verhalten! Aufgrund dieses völlig bedrückenden und schockierenden Service verließen wir das Restaurant, ohne zu zahlen, das erste Mal in unserem Leben, dass wir so etwas getan haben.TL; DR: Wenn Sie nicht respektlos sein und den Service von DISASTROUS erleben möchten, gehen Sie nicht in dieses Restaurant!"

"As I stayed in Bulle for a couple of months, I have visited this cafe several times. I didn't stop enjoying its atmosphere and service. This is one of my favorite places in Bulle.Atmosphere: The relaxing atmosphere is perfect, you forget about your problems while watching at the historical photos of the Bulle railway station, which are placed as a wallpapers on the walls. The thing that i really appreciate is the quiet atmosphere and modern, but not annoying design with futuristic, but on the other hand very comfortable chairs. The local customers looks friendly, and, in general, the atmosphere looks very attractive.Food: What i never expected to see in Bulle, is a delicious burger with cheese, which has a good, tasteful meat and sauce, after which i would like to order it again and again. You would also never regret, if you would try the soup with sweet chestnut - it is really amazing! And for those, who love traditional dishes, i saw many types of Fondue in the menu, and it seems to be popular, because i saw at least one person eating it. Service: the welcome of the man, who is , i guess, occupies a higher position than a waiter is perfect. The menu is new, but unfortunately, they don't have an english one, but even French i understood without a serious translations. The waitress is very polite, and she is very helpful. The speed of the service is excellent and they are always ready to help you or to get an additional order. I liked the service very much, it is wonderful.Price: the average level for local cafes for two persons, with two main courses and two soups,here i guess it will be not more than 60 CHF or even less depending on your preferences in food. Summing up, it has become one of my favorite cafes in Bulle, and i would highly recommend it to anyone."
