Nestled along California's coastline, Carmel boasts stunning beaches, art galleries, and seafood delights, with local favorites like clam chowder and abalone gracing the menus.

"a small place right next to carmel downtown serves a lot of coffee, sweet baked tasty and gelato. I have believed something sweet in bites and stacco house had everything I needed. we tried chocolate mousse, cream brûlée and a lemon cookie. all desserts had a reasonable sugar, were dimensioned accordingly and met completely on the place! I also bought fresh ciabatta brot for lunch the next day and it was so fresh and sponge. there is no place to immerse, they can choose their orders and they have a good choice of crying though I don't drink."

"Tasted amazing! There were lots of options toppings to choose from. We both got the Bulgogi beef bowl with different veggies, and it came with a delicious fried egg on top. Definitely coming back here again!"

"Sat outside on May 1st. Very nice except the music coming out of the speakers was a touch loud. Weather was wonderful. Food and drinks were a bit slow but really good. If you go here you must get the PRETZEL BITES!!!! They are the best."

"This is the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen!! The decorations for Christmas were absolutely lovely. The staff wore adorable outfits and were super friendly. All of the desserts were adorable and covered in glitter. It was like heaven. I got the Earl cake, $16 for a slice but I wanted to try it as I’ve heard good things. It was pretty good, had a mouse and a decent chocolate layer, and I think salt on the top and sides, but I think I’d prefer a different flavor over chocolate on chocolate personally. Overall wonderful experience and I would love to try more of the things they have! Will definitely come again! Ps Pro tip: you have to wait until the cake is no longer cold from the fridge to eat it really affects the texture and it tastes much better room temp in my opinion!"

"after a day of shopping and what not. large selection of beer on hahn and in bottle and doses. the handcuffed pizzas were perfectly cooked. terrible, but delicate only the correct amount of hits to be well balanced, but not the crust to collapse. large selection of standard and special toppings. our waitress brewed me a fresh coffee and it was excellent. it is from a local business. they filled a cup to take away. I'm coming back in a definitiw!"

"Fun and relaxing atmosphere. Food and service were excellent. The waiter needed time to find a wine we enjoyed. Loved that you are pet-friendly (we had no fur babies with us, but appreciate fellow animal lovers)."

"I unexpectedly found Carmel Belle during a heavy rainstorm in Carmel, and it was a pleasant surprise! The café has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for seeking shelter from the rain. The food is absolutely delicious with a great selection, and the tofu scramble is a must-try—simply amazing. The prices are quite reasonable for Carmel. The service is excellent, despite the constant busyness, everyone is extremely friendly. The only issue is the seating—it can be a bit chaotic since it's first-come, first-serve after ordering. There may be a wait, but it's definitely worth it! ?️??"

"Arrived cold. Order did not match picture or discription. First complaint the server went to chef and was told that I was wrong (no asparagus on Octopus dish). I then asked for the server to review the menu picture and description and they agreed that I was right. Was given plate with 4 asparagus sticks just by itself. Don't they understand that you eat with your eyes, too? Shrimp in Paella was rubbery and fish was overcooked. Will not go to Carmel Verde again. Ironworks has great quality. This was a very disappointing anniversary dinner. Drinks are great, though!"

"2. The portion size of my husband's Butternut Ravioli was smaller than the Calamari Appetizer we ordered. His mother ended up giving him her pasta as she wasn't very hungry and felt bad for him after a long day at work. 3. My Prosecco tasted more like Moscato and our waiter never came back to check on us. The manager had to switch the drink out for me. 4. We hardly saw our waiter and they never asked after our first bite if we were enjoying our meals. 5. With a bill totaling over $200 for 3 adults and 1 child, we certainly expected to leave much happier than we did."

"Basil is a quintessential Italian restaurant located in the charming town of Carmel. Situated in a cozy alcove, the restaurant offers white tablecloth service and has windows overlooking courtyard dining, creating a lovely atmosphere. Basil exceeded our expectations with its wide selection of menu choices that were tastily prepared, leading to a relaxing two-hour dining experience. We were particularly impressed by the locally sourced buffalo mozzarella appetizer, which set the stage for a delicious slow roasted beef rib entree. The wine list featured a variety of Italian vintages, adding to the authentic experience. Overall, Basil is definitely on our list of restaurants to revisit."

"This would by second time dining here and I?ve been wanting to come back since 2019! It was a little before 1p on a Monday and there was no wait to be seated. We were given bread and at the table had the cutest bottle of olive oil and balsamic (in one)! We ordered the refreshing tzatziki and and warm soft pita bread as the appetizer. Our main dishes were the chicken kabob plate and chicken shawarma! Everything delicious and not dry. The kabob plate was shared between two people. Prior to us paying our bill, they gave us a complimentary baklava also delicious! Service was attentive and the food delicious!"

"Save room for the butter cake. It was the best thing I've ever had. I could have ordered anything on this menu, it all made me salivate. Biggest damn prawns in the business. Seasoned to perfection in the wood fried grill. This place is a little pricey so.... I shared a meatball with my fiancé and there are two different meatballs that sound the same on the menu but I guess they are different. Get the meatball of the starter menu because it's so damn good and the the red sauce I could slurp down even when the meatball was all gone. I was on top of old Smokey by the end of this meal. But something's I wanted if I won the lottery would be a Lamborghini Aventador and the twin coldwater wood fried lobster tails on the menu. The steak the person next to me at the bar looked damn good as well. Will definitely be back here once I get my yelp sponsorship."

"This was our first time at Kona Grill, and the ambiance and decor were very nice and relaxing. The food quality and taste took us back to the Westcoast. I would recommend for families. We had 2 teenagers and they loved the choices as well!"

"This was our fourth time to dine here and up to now things were wonderful, both service and food wise. This time, however there were some issues. My martini was only filled about 1/2 2/3 of the way, which is a pet peeve of mine. It looked like someone had taken a big slurp out of it. Not a big glass, either. I mentioned it to the server who went back to the bartender who said his portions are correct, just deal with it (my words . I probably won’t order another one, which is a shame, since it was a good martini. Next, we ordered the branzini which was divine, topped with spinach and tomatoes. Delicious! We decided to order an extra side of spinach which never came. We finally did cancel the order but the server (who was great said it was too late(!? and to take it out of the tip if we needed to. This seems weird to me….they did ultimately charge us for the spinach…. Other than that, the food is awesome here we also had the baked artichoke appetizer, and a Greek salad that were all great. It was a little noisy, lots of activity on the street good people watching, but not an intimate experience if that’s what you’re looking for."

"It was evident that the kitchen was unable to handle preparing food for 30 people and all other tables at the same time. We witnessed a manager getting into a heated argument with another group nearby, which we found unprofessional. It's important for managers to remain composed and handle situations calmly. Although the staff was not adequately prepared, our waitress was apologetic and did her best to assist us. It was the first day of college and there was a large football tournament at Grand Park, which may have contributed to the chaos. We hope that the restaurant can learn from this experience and improve their operations in the future. The menu looked promising, but the wait and kitchen staff seemed overwhelmed."

"Price to value, sauce on the side is amazing! My flight got in a little later than I expected so I was struggling to find something opened late night in Carmel. Sauce on the Side closes at 9pm and has a smooth online ordering system so that was the obvious choice. For as many times as I 've been to Carmel for work, I haven 't been able to stop by here but have heard amazing things. I created my own calzone (despite hearing their salads are amazing and practiced patience. The delivery woman came into the hotel I was staying to ensure a smooth drop off and she was super friendly. I swore I was only going to have one half of the calzone since it 's ginormous but what do you know, I joined the clean plate club that night! Next step is convincing my team to come here for lunch next I 'm in town so I can get a salad (but let 's be real, calzone is totally gonna go down again!"
