"Wife wanted Thai and wanted to try this new place out. Parked in deck and it was busy but not unmanageable. Restaurant had ample seating. Sat down next to a decent sized crew. Waitress was in training and had to tell her my order 3x. She came back to clarify what we both ordered. My wife’s order twice. We got the fresh rolls appetizer with shrimp. What can our was two rolls, cut in half… looked nice but we couldn’t find any shrimp. It was packed to the gills with shredded lettuce and carrots, one piece of fake crab. My wife found a tiny shrimp after a bite. One. That’s kinda misleading advertising. They were pretty. But pretty blah and hardly any shrimp. I got some spicy peanut chicken. She ordered massaman curry. My dish came out. Smelled okay. But after five minutes, no dish for her. We started trying to flag down a server. After a few more minutes one saw us looking for attention and said curry coming right up. It did. But ten minutes after my dish sat there and we had the awkward “go ahead and eat, no I’ll wait” Her curry was loaded with potatoes. Which it’s supposed to have. But not a lot of chicken. So … it would appear that they load your order with whatever ingredient is cheapest and then skimp on the rest. And the table next to us got a dish comped because it came out waaaay late and they took it as takeout instead. So meh food. Spotty (but friendly) service. Very unlikely to go back. Better Thai options are around."

"The most charming place to dine in Carrboro, North Carolina. We are so happy that our daughter attended UNC Chapel Hill decided to stay here after graduation for at least one year. Her home is in walking distance to this fabulous restaurant that already feels like home to so many! From general manager Brian to server extraordinaire, Larry, to Jackie, Christian and the entire team, you cannot find more genuine hospitality people than these amazing new friends. It 's evident they love what they do and as guests of Mosaic, customers feel right at home quickly. Let 's talk about the exceptional cuisine for a few. We love dining tapas style so choosing selections becomes the fun part of the dining experience here because you create your own palette of food. Our first visit found us enjoying the roasted cauliflower and continues to be a must have on every visit! We have not met a dish we did not LOVE at Mosaic the fried eggplant dish with whipped chèvre, honey and thyme was out of this universe awesome along with their version of patatas bravas which are THE BEST we have encountered (and we order them whenever wherever they are offered! . If I haven 't shared enough to make you want to RUN not walk to Mosaic for dinner some night soon then let me mention their fun yet thoughtful cocktail menu comprehensive wine selections. They have a late night bar scene for the Carrboro crowd with a lovely outdoor garden in which to dine before moving inside for an after dinner drink. I 'll update with photos on our next visit. We were so intent on enjoying delicious food with friends after a delayed flight that I took not one photo as each amazing dish was placed before us!"
