"We made a reservation for and were told we could order off of the regular menu or the mezza menu. Upon arrival we were denied the option of ordering off of the regular menu because we were seated outside (because they couldn’t accommodate our party at a table inside). Why that is was never fully explained. We decided to stay, as the view of the river is stunning (it’s the best feature of the restaurant). In a nutshell, the options are very limited, drinks are overpriced and the food is both overpriced and disappointing. The lobster roll isn’t worth the hotdog roll it was served on. By looking at it, it could have been seafood salad. They did all they could to maximize profits and minimize quality. Will not return or recommend."

"We had an outstanding experience at Fortify Kitchen. We were greeted immediately when we sat down by our server to take our drink order. The service was great. We ordered an appetizer that came out quickly. We had Gouda balls with pepper Jack and bacon jelly. I had the filet and it was seasoned and a cooked perfectly. My husband had the trout that was pecan crusted and Brussels sprouts and it was delicious. Nice wine selection by the glass and bottle. We were too full for dessert but they looked delicious. I can see why this was voted one of the top 100 restaurants in the US. Would definitely recommend trying if you are in Clayton."

"We went to heaven! Customer service!! The cashier, he facilitated our selection, once we dug into the crepes, it blew our expectations. Very fresh, the crepe was authentic words from my wife who 's family swears of having the best crepe . Our breafast was amazing, included freshly squeezed orange juice, the coffee was the icing on the cake, definitely return. It was not cheap but worth every cent."

"Our drink order was incorrect twice. Once is a problem; twice is unconscionable in a fine restaurant. The drink order was handed off to helpers twice and they were clearly not well-trained. In addition, it took more than 30 minutes for the two of us to get the correct drinks. My husband loved his mushroom ravoli; my trout was well prepared and was to have a mushroom sauce but there was very little of it. As a result, it was dry. The overall experience was a disappointment. We love seafood restaurants and had planned to return for brunch the next day with friends. We went elsewhere."

"The gluten-free lasagna was great! My son's shrimp alfredo was good, but the tails remained on the shrimp, which made it hard to eat. My wife had the manicotti she said it was good, but didn't look like what she ordered. The tea tasted right away, so I had soda instead. Service was fabulous"

"While this is a very nice place, I was disappointed by the lack of vegan options, the quality of eating, and the slow service. I asked the server which items could be made vegan, and she said, the hummus remover, the falafel sandwich and the “Thai Pizza”. I ordered the pizza and asked to add mushrooms as I did not see much other substance. our order lasted 50 minutes to come and she brought me the falafel instead of the pizza. I sent it back because I was curious about the pizza that arrived in 8 minutes. it was in the ground several globs drip butter on pizza dough with some paprika, mushy overboiled brokkoli, more whole drips and a sprinking of sesame. I found this completely tasteless (and also miss the listed, which would have helped.) the other orders were also under par one piece of pfefferoni on the “Pizzeria “Pepperoni”, a tiny open to reub. beautiful beer selection deserved one of the stars."

"Great place for a quick and easy lunch or dinner. We liked the atmosphere a lot. The setting is an exact 50s diner with delicious food from then to now. I tried Grilled Kosher Dog with chili and cheese on it. I was impressed, it had so much flavor to it. My friend had a burger with pepperjack cheese and hand cut fries (without buns and I could really tell that she was satisfied with her food. The service was fast and accurate, however, our waitress seemed a little rude. I am going to cut her some slack and say maybe she was having a bad day because she didn't seem like the person who would intentionally be rude ... <br/ (I know I know there is no excuse for bad customer service.... <br/ Another guy from the staff stopped by to refill our drinks and ask how everything was. We enjoyed it and I want to take my son with me the next time."

"The food is not like it used to be. This was one of the top Chinese restaurants in the area. Not so much now. It really hard finding a good restaurant Chinese that is and stay on top. This one is good one day not so good the next. Be consistent. I still eat there but I roll the dice on when the food might be good on that day. And change the oil in your fry vat. Cause you fry your chicken too hard and it’s not a golden brown. It’s too dark. Because you guys use old oil. Change your oil. Please!!!!!!"

"I finally found the best Mexican restaurant in Clayton and most likely within the surrounding area. You definitely get a warm and welcoming feeling upon walking in the door. This family-owned restaurant doesn't miss a beat in getting you seated, situated and ready for a drink. As most Mexican restaurants, the menu has a lot to offer and so does the full bar. They make a very good Margarita and plenty of chips and salsa to go with it. I was glad I tried the cheese dip with the chips, it was a pleasant switch from the customary salsa. The enchiladas verdes is a very tasty entree and clearly made with quality beef and chicken, which is yet another thing that sets this place apart. I now have two Mexican restaurants close by that I feel confident enough to dine at on a regular basis. Cheers!"

"We've heard great reviews, but sadly we did not have a good experience. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizer and had to ask several times for bread. Our entrées were over cooked, dry, and over priced. Their meats are frozen without a doubt and meat portions are subpar for quantity. I would not dine again."

"I was really looking forward to dining here, I got seated and (Nikki) my server came out with water. I asked for no ice and she put her hand over the mouth of the water jug to hold back the ice..! My “drinking water” ran through her fingers. And she was proud to have held back the ice.Gross! I left the restaurant and went next door. Service: 2"

"We have live in JoCo for 4 years and teased about going to Venero's for awhile. Finally, we did! Sad we been missing out. The food was spectacular. I got the seafood pasta dish. Can't recall the name, but it the pricest item on the menu $19.50). The price on the menu is quite affordable. Hubby got the Lasagna. Huge portion. The garlic knots were a knock out success. To wrap up our lunch, had an Espresso. Fresh! It was a heavenly meal. The service was personable. Friendly staff. New York based. We will brag about this place and return. For sure!!"

"Review due to extremely high prices for the product that it turns out! The outdoor dining area is beautifully located in very beautiful picturesque downtown Clayton. It's the first pizza restaurant in the chain. All meat pizza was a bit disappointing at this visit. Not much of a variety or amount of toppings listed in the menu. Management review required."

"First time eating at Louie and definitely didn?t disappoint. I?ve heard good things so I was definitely excited to eat here. Service was above par and so was the food. We got the white bean hummus and Brussel sprouts for the table and both were a hit, you can?t go wrong. My beef tenderloin was made to perfection. Well worth it. Pretty sizable portions so if you?re looking to split or share dishes to try multiple dishes you?ll definitely be able to and still have some left over."

"This McDonalds is always packed, mostly due to its location. We regularly have issues with missing items, so checking your bags before pulling away from the drive through is a must. Even though we ate inside this time, we had a cheeseburger missing. However, the restaurant is clean and the food was hot and served in a timely manner."

"We stayed at the Clayton Residence inn and there are many dining options around. My kids wanted burgers so we decided to give Five Star burger a try based on the good reviews. We ordered blue ribbon and spicy green chile burgers. Although I didn’t expect much, the burgers are outstanding even I asked well done. Next day, I ordered the friend chicken burger, the fried chicken could’ve been the best one I have had for last few years. The staff are very friendly too."

"My wife and I went to dinner while I was visiting Clayton for the weekend. The food was good and the service was excellent. It was a bit pricey, but it seems like their prices have gone up recently due to the pandemic. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet corn nuggets. The sandwich was served on white bread or Texas toast instead of a bun, but it was tasty. The corn nuggets were also quite delicious. My wife ordered the Philly cheesesteak with squash casserole as a side. The Philly cheesesteak was good, but the squash casserole was a bit bland - not bad, just not amazing. Overall, it's a solid restaurant with a variety of enticing menu options, so we would consider going back."

"As a small business owner, I love and hate Google reviews. Most are on point but some reviews are ridiculous and have no idea the harm they are causing with a poor review. The fact that anyone would give this lovely and thoughtful establishment anything other than a 4 or 5 star review is just silly. It’s a lovingly remodeled building in downtown Clayton, Ga. It’s family owned and they have made great effort to make it cozy and welcoming. The back patio is cool on a hot day and dog friendly. The food was prepared with care (please don’t complain if it takes 15-20 minutes to make your meal by hand) and was delicious and well presented. The service was excellent- familiar and warm. We stumbled in near closing after our truck broke down. They fed us, told us to take our time, and the waitress even offered us a ride home. Please support this wonderful business and appreciate when others serve you with effort and care. It’s so hard to make a business run well, but they are doing a great job in this cafe."
