"After a pretty intense hike in the Breakneck Ridge, my friend and I stopped here for lunch last Saturday. I was a handful of earlier here, initially on the recommendation of a gum grown near Garrison, and it is always very good. This time it was great. I warned my friend that this place often has a waiting time, especially since we stopped at 1PM, dictionary definition lunch time, and that we prepare for a 20 to 30 minutes delay. No, we sat inside within three minutes. For what it is worth, based on past experience, the porch seat outside is excellent, and it has a very beautiful, rustic B B Vibe with great viewpoints of the main road to observe some excellent people. It was about 90 degrees at the time, so it might not have been SUPER comfortable if we were sitting there, but we would have done this without complaint. I was famished after mountaineering, and ordered the cookies Gravy $17.95) that came with eggs and land potatoes. Delicious. There can be a SLIGHT alias here, as I think that food tastes better and better after you climb a mountain and earn the following calories, but why shouldn't this place benefit from this time? The severity was perfectly thick with what looked to be bits of Canadian bacon, the scrambled eggs were moist without being watery and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned. I ripped it off, but don't think that means that the part meager was a very generous portion. It's enough to say that I didn't eat again the next morning. My bush got the land fried steak and eggs and also enjoyed their dish. Despite the ascent to the same mountain, she actually had remnants to bring home later. I already had mild problems with the service, but that was an absolute pleasure; a well-oiled machine. Our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Our food came within 10 minutes, and I noticed that the same was true for nearby tables. Every time she came across our area, you could see that they quickly check every table for possible problems and where necessary, without wasted movement. We got both water glasses, drained them immediately and without talking about it, they just brought a water bottle to our table. Intangible. Along these same lines, the busboy was attentive and proactive in cleaning our table probably a little over-eaged, but negated that by politely asking if he could remove the dishes before it so). I was initially pleasantly surprised by the lack of waiting, but with this kind of service the tables will turn around quite quickly. Restaurant/Sickness 101. The only negative that occurred during this experience was not even Hudson Hil's fault in the three minutes we waited for a table outside, we saw a dog carrying crocods and not getting a decent picture of it. It'll take a while. You don't always have great food options after a hike, much less a mountainous one. This is an absolute gem that is less than five minutes from the Breakneck Ridge Trailhead."
