"Just went here the other night and it was delicious. The waiter was very helpful with suggestions on the menu. We started out with an appetizer that was a fried egg plant stacked with lump crab meat, fried green tomato, followed by more crab meat. I would have never tried anything like this, but the waiter suggested it and I'm really glad I listened. The steak was also the best I have ever had. I got the porter house and the fillet side almost melted in my mouth. It is a pricey place, but you get what you pay for. It's an absolute must for people that an occasional fancy dining experience."

"We had a great time , the service was amazing, we had Jean take care of our table, very knowledgeable of the menu and great recommendations about the food, the first night i had the pork chop and my husband had the swordfish, both very delicious. We decided to come back the same week and had Jean again as server, he remembered us and our favorite drinks. We decided to try smth new on the menu so i had the surf and turf and my husband tried the redfish , for dessert we had the sampler that was the best ever, Highly recommend the place."

"This is a cute restaurant. Three of us had pasta and 2 were just swimming in cream. Carbonara is not supposed to look like Alfredo and pesto generally is not creamy so those were disappointment. The bolognese was just ok. And the other person had sea bass special which was the best entree. Fish and pasta both were delish. The Caesar’s were totally Mayo-based and heavy too. The bruschetta was good. They also have pizza which did look good. Also this restaurant is another one punishing diners for using debit/cc. Local restaurants are passing on cc fees now. Disappointing when you have a $200 bill and it’s tourist season here now!"

"We landed here after abandoning a popular breakfast joint due to a ridiculous long line to get in. We stay close by at Jetty East every time we come to Destin, so we will be back. Serves breakfast til 3pm. Cool atmosphere. Honey butter chicken biscuit was delicious!! Biscuits and gravy were good but just average. So, I wish I had tried something else. The side of grits had no flavor, but I suspect they don’t season them due to serving them in breakfast bowls with other flavored ingredients. The donut was good, and we got full fast! So, we are looking forward to eating the cinnamon roll later. I read another review about the lack of masks and friendliness from the staff, and I would have to agree. The young man who rang us up was not rude, but not very warm or friendly, and when I asked if the gravy was sausage or bacon, he didn’t know the answer. That is not enough to keep us from eating here again. We will definitely come back to try more menu items!! Hopefully the pandemic will be over and masks won’t be an issue the next time we come down."

"Had reservations for 6:30. Being the punctual folks that we are, we arrived well before the designated time. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a gentleman at the desk who informed us that we needed to wait because, apparently, he was the only one in the entire universe capable of seating us. So, we dutifully sat down and began our waiting game. As we sat there, we were treated to an impromptu performance of Misery Loves Company, starring our host and a fellow employee. Their riveting dialogue about the horrors of their working conditions was truly a delight. I mean, who doesn 't love a dinner show featuring disgruntled employees lamenting their misfortunes? After what felt like an eternity, we decided that our time would be better spent elsewhere. Perhaps a place where being seated wasn 't akin to winning the lottery. We gracefully exited, leaving behind the melodrama and our hopes for a nice evening out. If you 're looking for an unforgettable experience, this place certainly delivers--just not in the way you 'd hope."

"Really important edit! I would prefer this franchise run establishment over other Chicken Salad Chicks I have eaten at in the past. The store was very well kept and the manager was very nice. Overall, I would recommend this store to anyone who is in the Destin Area for a light meal that truly satisfies one's soul. Even though the restaurant originally started in Alabama, they have brought the hospitality and welcome feeling that I always look forward to after a full day of shopping. I also enjoyed the music taste and the manager and workers were welcoming as well as provided different suggestions that were similar to the foods that I was originally looking for. I did have an issue with the staffing before; however, the manager personally reached out to me and made sure that the issue was taken care of swiftly. I would definitely try this place again when I am in the area."

"We ate at Red Onion twice on our recent vacation to Destin. We eat 95% organic at home, so we are always grateful when we can find organic food when we travel. Our first visit to Red Onion was on our first night after a long car ride. The owner/waitress greeted us warmly told us we could sit anywhere. It's got a casual atmosphere with greek island color scheme but the tables are set with real table clothes napkins. Waters menus brought right away. The food was amazing, so fresh beautifully presented. For appetizers we had the Hummus Feta cheese rolls. So yummy. For our meals we had the Gyro sandwich, Swedish Meatballs lamb chops. All were excellent. The salads with our dinners were so fresh lightly dressed perfect. We loved the food so much we returned on our last night in Destin. We ordered the same appetizers as the first visit. We had the Gyro platter, Beast Burger Swedish Meatballs. All were amazing. Oh, and the waitress accidentally brought an extra meal, chicken tava, which made a fabulous lunch the next day. Extra points for consistency in the food freshness. We look forward to our next meal the next time we're in Destin.Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian options for appetizers salads."

"I'm living off memory, but I recall visiting this place about 6 years ago. At that time the crab cakes seemed different to me. More lump crab. Now the crab is more stringy. I do wonder how long these cakes sit in the case as well. To me, crab cakes should be made to order and pan fried. What I experienced was a cake that had a soft exterior and an even softer interior. There is no contrast in texture. This may be as a consequence of how they are reheated. The flavor was lacking to be honest. The sauces available don't really improve this. Finally the brownie was just more sweet than flavorful. If I had to express one sentiment it would be that the popularity this place gained in the past hasn't helped it now."

"We met with our friends for lunch on a cold windy January weekend. We were quickly hit at the entrance and sitting immediately. The ambience was cool and welcoming. The lighting is dim; so my photos look like our food was in a cot. The service was impeccable. Waitstaff was very accommodating. The food was prepared in time. Everything tastes great. We had the .$18 Senate (Bean) soup as our appetizer with free bread. We had reuben sandwiches, chips and potato salad. It was fantastic! This restaurant is a great place to meet with friends. Lunch menu was affordable. It's very practical, just about everything. Parking is not big enough for big rigs, but you could probably park nearby with a short walk. It is only about 25-30 minutes to the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Campground. Several public beaches are nearby."

"Loved the food!! We had no wait time getting in and we're immediately seating at 7. It was such a pretty place and the breeze outside was wonderful in the patio! The staff was friendly though I will see say we barely saw our waitress and another staff had to bring us water refills, our check and to go boxes. But restaurant wise, great place!!! Make sure to read the gratuity part of the menu! Instead of tipping you'll be charged an extra 20% for commission I believe is what they called it but tipping is optional on top of that if you feel like it. We loved our food!"

"This place was recommended by my friend when we visited Destin. I ordered the sirloin strip steak teppanyaki and it was so delicious! It was cooked perfectly as I requested and very tasty.
