"Per my request I had sought a table tucked away. The service by Miguel was noteworthy. He attended to our needs perfectly. He was neither hounding nor AWOL. His explanation of the menu and how items were prepared was clear and concise. The rib eye was spectacular. The flavor was top notch and prepared perfectly. The sides of asparagus, mashed potatoes and the delectable mushrooms were a perfect compliment. The ambiance was warm and inviting and conducive for a wonderful and memorable date night."

"I made a reservation for an early dinner this evening to celebrate my daughter's 20th birthday. She had never been to Cafe Central, but she had heard me talk about it several times. We were seated promptly and served our water and tea. We decided on two appetizers: the Grilled Portobello Mushroom and the Grilled Fried Calamari. Both were excellent and the spicy sauce on the calamari was great. For dinner, my daughter ordered the Maple Leaf Duck Breast and I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. The presentation was spot-on gorgeous on both entrees. The duck was cooked to an absolutely perfect medium rare and the fish was easily among the best I've ever had. We each sampled the other's entree and agreed that both were absolutely delicious. After dinner, the server brought out a wonderful Tres Leches Cake with a Birthday sparkler atop a specially decorated plate. He graciously offered to take a couple of Birthday photos, which I will treasure. The food, service, and ambience all made for a wonderful birthday celebration."

"This place has potential, however, the manager/owner was very disrespectful and dismissive when asking a simple question about garlic sauce that tastes more like vinegar than garlic. My food was dry but had taste and would have been excellent with garlic sauce not vinegar sauce. Shawarma does NOT pair well with vinegar. My husband and kids food was good and the cheese sticks were good. Because of the staff we will. It be going back out bill was 100 after tip etc and not worth it at all!"

"Everything was great except kind of in a ghetto area , we caught some guy trying to break into our car one block away and then we tried to park in another parking lot next door for many businesses and a Middle Eastern guy came out screaming and yelling that he was going to have all of us towed away it started off pretty bad. Several other cars that were there drove off very upset there were no signs that he could tell anybody I asked him if he owned the property and he said yes I could tell he was lying though but it just wasn't worth the hassle"

"We got led to the back of the restaurant where we were seated. About 20minutes later I had to flag down the host to ask if we could order our food. Shortly after our waitress came by and took our order. I think she checked on us once while eating and the family next to us had to ask for water twice from a man carrying dishes. We finished our food and walked to the front of the restaurant to pay for our meal. I really love hooleys and hope that can do better in the future. Id go to the LA mesa location."

"Stopped here for brunch this last Sunday. We were seated immediately and they were quick to check on us (but not rushed). They have indoor and outdoor covered seating, which was nice and had fans for the heat and warmers for the colder times. The latte I got was so creamy! I loved it! I also got the smoked salmon Benedict and OH MY GOSH! Sooo good! All the flavor but not over powering. My husband got the chicken panini and everything about it was delicious! Overall, you can tell they take care to pay attention to what they're serving. The atmosphere was relaxed and since it's in a shopping center, parking was not an issue at all. Definitely found a gem of Spring Valley!"

"Amazing food all around amazing I've been coming here for over a decade The owner is the Sushi Chef and he buys the best quality fish available and has his special touches on everything. Sounds so simple but the best thing on the menu is their spicy tuna. Must go You won't regret it and for non-sushi lovers they have great other options too."

"We had been meaning to try it here for a while. Food was excellent. Not much atmosphere to the place though. Very basic. Good selection of beers. Service was ok. Not bad just not exceptional. Very reasonable priced. We will definitely return"

"Great Middle East. My wife had the falafel plate she said was delicious. I had the beef kefta (kefta kebab) plate, which sprinkled with onions with salt and sumak, mixed with a bit of parsley (classic accompaniment), grilled tomatoes, pita wedges, excellent saffron rice with almonds and golden raisins, excellent pickled beets, pita wedges and a side dish of your choice (I decided for taboouli). All for less than $11!. We all agreed that there were these little authentic touches that confront this place. That and the courts. Between us we had: Hummus, her Mediterranean salad. their Greek salad and tabouli (x 2). All were excellent except for the tabouli that was a bit soggy. All in all, very good quality, very generous portions for an excellent price. Clean, bright place. Friendly, attentive staff. We have cheese filled pastries, Cuba and chicken for a picnic dinner tonight. Expect that these are also excellent. Will update this review if not. Chicken bored was pretty good. Cheesecake was excellent. Kracked Wheat Cuba: The filling was good. The coating was different than expected. I had always (and made) cuba/coubi/koubeh covered with a dough of ground beef mixed with wort wheat. This seemed to be a dough mixed with flour. Not as crispy as the other method. Leftover falafel from lunch again well warmed, just as she kufta."

"This is the best sub sandwich I’ve had. They are HUGE! They are not the normal “footlongs” they are not that long BUT they are 2-3 times WIDER than the normal “footlong”. The bread was amazing, the whole sandwich was amazing. My only minor complaint is that there was a bit of a wait, 10-15 minuets, for them to make the sandwich. I am not sure if they were really busy while I was there or this is a normal wait time, BUT the sandwich was worth the wait!"

"Took my family for Sunday lunch. I called in for reservations the day before and we were seated right on time. For appetizer, I ordered their Kamakaze Sushi Roll. It had salmon, cream cheese, avocado, and topped with shrimp. The roll was delicious and would gladly order it again. The restaurant serves soup and salad as part of your entree. I am not sure if it was supposed to be Miso soup (see photo provided), but the broth was too clear and didn't taste like Miso soup. It was rather bland this time. For entrées, our party ordered the Filet Mignon and Calamari combo, Filet Mignon and Shrimp combo, Salmon, and Sea Bass. The filet mignon was ordered medium. It was cooked to perfection and very tasty and tender. The calamari was a bit cheewy for my taste but it was still good. Both the salmon and seabass were good, but the highlight was the filet. I highly recommend it. The service was great. The cook who prepared the food at the Hibachi table was excellent. He was very friendly and very attentive to our food preferences and requests. This is not the first time I come here. The food never disappoints and the service is good. It's a good atmosphere if you want to have a family or group gathering and they have a dine in section if you want a more private dinner experience. Their sushi selection is good and many of them pack alot of flavor. I've gone just to order sushi and always felt satisfied with my selection."

"I've been checking out quite a few Italian restaurants recently and this is probably one of my favorite traditional spots. They serve chianti and a few other wines by the carafe. They also offer early bird specials til 6pm which include soup or salad and garlic bread. I had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce with the minestrone soup. The soup is very flavorful. The meat sauce and the garlic bread were excellent as well. The service was attentive and the restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere. I definitely recommend checking them out if you're in east county."

"Been here a few times and wanted to make sure before I gave the 5 stars, but no this place deserves it. Everytime we go it hits, and it’s usually quite slow when we go so the service is on point. The waiters/waitresses we’ve had have been attentive and they don’t mess up our orders (and we order alot. The food here is amazing, you need to try the Sushi Burrito and the Appetizer Sampler (minus the wings. The soups are also delicious. I can’t talk much to the fried rice or noodle dishes though. You need to check this place out, we will definitely keep returning."

"I always love getting food from Bonny's. The food is so good and it's at such a good price, you'll find it can be cheaper than a lot of other fast food places. The quality of the food never disappoints and the staff is always very friendly. Will always recommend Bonny's!"

"My go-to items are the beef back ribs and mac and cheese. Last time I was there the mac and cheese was $6 but it's so so gooey and good. My son LOVES their mac and cheese. I've tried the pork ribs a few times but thought it was a bit dry. Their beef ribs are much better. We've also tried their tri tip which was a bit dry too. Their other apps are pretty good and you can't really go wrong with the appetizers. Their apple cobbler was delish. Parking is small but we've never had any issues finding parking. Their staff has always been wonderful every time we went there."

"Ordered the shredded beef taco plate which come with 3 crispy corn tortillas (these are not like the store bought shells), rice and beans. Tacos are loaded with meat, light lettuce, tomatoes, shredded white cheese and served with two small containers of salsa. Be sure to order a side of avocado as it makes the taco flavor burst in your mouth. Small establishment with friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Free jukebox has an assortment of cool music to listen to as you eat here. I didn't take a picture when I first got my tacos as they smelled delicious. It wasn't until I was on my last bite that I took a quick snap before I devoured it."
