"Elmhurst has a beautiful city centre with many bars and restaurants. I hacked FA and liked the reviews and photos. From the moment I entered the restaurant It felt like a small family restaurant. I took a place at the bar and was greeted by Andy, the bartender, who ended a great interlocutor and master of his craft so much I thought he was one of the owners. His partner (dn 't catch his name) made martini with trains directly from the movie cocktails! (small exaggeration) Both interviewed the bar and the high tops and sought the opportunity to provide guests with setups or refills. I started with the house Chianti (dry, fruity with a deep spicy finish) and ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque (super rich, semi-glittered with small lobster food, occupied with a few crumbs) Freshly cut Italian bread (big crust) accompanied the soup and was an ingenious dipper! I finished with the salmon and penne (Award-winning, serving friendly dish. Penne was perfectly boiled, al dente with a light blush cream sauce good balance with vegetables and salmon that melted in my mouth) I asked Andy to couple and he hit a Chardonnay (Bulg, fruity and sweet) improves the dish and was a great finish to the meal! I love the situation, the feeling and the employees who are all on their game and very interactive with the guest. I feel like a local. I was very surprised that this was part of a number of different restaurants. CIO, you won't be disappointed!"

"This was not a positive experience at all. It was ****, through and through. The service was slow and rude. I think disinterested is a better word. That dude couldn 't have cared less if we ate dinner or paid our taxes. He was not going to be attentive or polite. The food was garbage. Their marinara was thick ketchup with less flavor. This is the only Italian restaurant in the free world where you walk out and are still hungry. The amount of food on the plate made me think I ordered off the kid 's menu. When I asked for some Hot Giardiniera he brought out two thimbles full. He asked if I wanted both. I said I NEEDED both. Also I asked for Italian dressing and got balsamic dressing. I was too hungry to wait and this cat was not coming back any time soon. I was famished so I ate but would have gotten better food at an Olive Garden in Kentucky. My date 's seafood salad was interesting. I didn 't know celery was a seafood. Her salad was basically celery and some thawed out calamari rings. I told the waiter they were frozen. He promised they were fresh and freshly prepared. He lied. They were frozen and then thawed and thrown in a bowl with some oil and a lot of celery. My date has never sent back a meal ever. This was the first one I ever saw her refuse. The calamari seemed to have the word GOODYEAR stamped on the side of it. There is nothing anyone can ever do to get me back into that place. Bad food. Bad service. This place should be condemned. Go across the street to The Rainbow Cafe for a good meal. This place is awful."
