"Don 't waste your money or your time. Could be such a great vibe, especially for winter: cozy Irish pub with upscale cocktails and hearty food. Unfortunately, not only was the experience disappointing for the price, it was downright bad in almost every respect. To start, I ordered an Old Fashioned--20 minutes later, still no drink. The bar had been busy when I entered, so I reminded my server the next time he passed that I was still waiting on my beverage. He told me he was waiting on the bar. A few minutes later, he passed again. At this point, my friend who 'd been seated and ordered the same drink after me had already received her cocktail. I asked if my drink would be ready soon and he rudely replied he 'd bring it when it was ready. The one appetizer we ordered Brie Wellington came 30 minutes after ordering it and it was cold. Entrees arrived in a reasonable amount of time and the Chicken Sandwich $16 was good. That 's the only reason for two stars instead of one. Others in the group ordered the Shepherd 's Pie too salty and the Sea Bass first one was undercooked, replacement was fine, but $37 is a lot to pay for fine . Our second round of Old Fashioneds came with ice chips instead of one large ice cube as the first one came . Not what I would expect for $13 at a nice restaurant--more like a $9 dive bar version. It was so watered down halfway through, I decided to fish the remaining ice chips out to try to save it. The ladies ' bathroom had trash everywhere and at least two stalls were completely out of toilet paper. I get it 's a busy Friday night, but staff accordingly so the restroom can be tidy and stocked . Towards the end of our meal, two others in our party had ordered wine which they asked to cancel since it had been 20 minutes and they still hadn 't received their drinks. That was the point when we decided to just leave. Luckily, the server had the tab on him and didn 't have to cancel anything clearly because the drinks had never been ordered in the first place . I was really excited to come back here after Jake O 'Connor 's closed, because it 's such a major corner in Excelsior and has such potential based on the menu, but I was disappointed at every step of the meal. The food was mediocre, at best, and the service and cocktails were just plain bad. As I said at the top, don 't waste your time or money."
