"We went to Waffle Hut, because it was within walking distance from our motel on the hill. There were booths, large round tables, and regular square tables, that could be arranged for large groups. Could easily seat about 50 people. The menu is relatively large, and well priced. All of the traditional breakfast items, including grits and Belgian waffles. There was also lunch and dinner items. We opted for breakfast. Our waitress was prompt at getting to our booth (seat yourself), and quickly brought our drink order. Our food order came about 10 minutes after the order, and was hot. Eggs were cooked correctly (sunny-side up), grits weren’t watered down, and the dripless syrup container was brought to the table hot. Everything arrived as ordered. The egg and bacon order had 4 large strips bacon, and the 2-egg, sausage order had 2 really large patties of sausage. The Belgian waffle was golden in color, very light and airy, and thick. Exactly what a good Belgian waffle should be. The toast was 2 complete slices for each order. We ordered a large breakfast, not being sure how much we’d get, but it turned out to be more than enough. I’d say you could eat breakfast for 2 for under $20 easily. Nothing much about the inside to speak of, but the service and food more than makes up for that. This is an easy recommendation."
