"I ate here last 3 years ago and again Thursday. It was great. For me the batter on the soft shell crab was too heavy, but I suppose that is a matter of personal or regional taste. I much prefer a very light batter on soft shells.The service was very friendly and we did not wait too long. Its a small restaurant and everything was made fresh and to order. The wait was worth it; but . . .That being said, I do wonder how badly COVID has impacted the kitchen staff i.e. who is cooking back there. I have the feeling that this is not the same quality of food that I was eating 3 yard ago.Many of the folks in Louisiana need to get their heads out of the chenier, get their vaccinations, get healthy, and catch up to the rest of the country and back to work. Places all over the state are begging for healthy employees."
