"I have stopped by Boondocks a few times just for a drink. The most striking aspect of the venue is the decor. They went over the top with a country theme that has some local elements, it definitely catches the eye, if that is something that you would enjoy, then it will not disappoint. It was a cool evening so I requested to be seated outside, we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and efficient and I enjoyed the multiple TVs around. I ordered the shrimp and grits, this is something I order often at other establishments, and this one was priced at the upper end of the shrimp n' grits price range but they did not disappoint. These were towards the New Orleans style with a roux and sausage (which added a nice flavor but the sausage quality was avg). It was very good and had a few slices of toast on top alongside of some fairly large shrimp. All in all it was worth the money. The crabcake appetizer was ok, I would definitely order something else for an appetizer. Since this restaurant is a bit out of the way, it is definitely a nice place to stop if you are in the area."
