"Just like John Cusack who played the author John Kelso in Clint Eastwood’s film adaptation of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, we sat at the counter at Clary’s Café for our meal here. The menu is huge (as are the portions, as you can see from the photo here! and breakfast is served all day. Expect a wait for a table but we arrived at 11:45am and were seated by Noon."

Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was seamless. A special mention goes to the executive chef, who was visible in the restaurant, overseeing operations and even taking a moment to check on diners. It was clear that passion and dedication were infused into every dish that left the kitchen. Before we left we made sure to let the chef know everything was GREAT! We even called him DADDY."

"Excellent food. Visited July 2024. My steak was a perfect medium rare, nicely seasoned with some grilled tomatoes. The shrimp and grits side were sublime. My companions mushroom gumbo far exceeded our high expectations; nicely flavored and a hearty portion. The appetizer chicken wings were crispy with excellent flavor throughout. The prices are reasonable for the quality; our last visit was 7y ago, this place continues to be excellent. The reason it's not 5 stars is the covered patio area is quite loud and makes it tough to have a conversation with more than one other person."

"To the one star review below, everyone in the restaurant applauded when y’all FINALLY left. The service is always impeccable and the food is always astounding. From the moment you two walked in, everyone knew it was going to be a problem. You slammed your chair into our table and then were mad at us when we asked if you could move it. You were angry that the waitress was talking to our table instead of bringing your drinks which you had just ordered. They then proceeded to yell at both the chef, and a waiter and were asked to politely leave. To me and everyone else in the establishment, they were looking for a free meal. Said they didn’t even eat the food but the plates were CLEAN. If this is how you treat people in the restaurant industry, YES, please go back to New York."

"I just had to share my experience at this amazing restaurant! I found out about it from a local food group, and I'm so glad I decided to try it. Let me tell you, I was blown away! I ordered the lamb gyro, and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was so flavorful and juicy—definitely no dry meat here. It's really difficult to find good Mediterranean food in Savannah, but this place has totally mastered it. While the restaurant doesn't have its own parking lot, there's always street parking available. I've been there three times now, and I've never had trouble finding a spot. The owners of the restaurant are such lovely people, and if you haven't been there yet, you're seriously missing out. It's safe to say that this is now one of my favorite places to eat at!"

"Five of us chose to dine here for dinner on June 26th and unfortunately had a terrible experience. After waiting about 30 minutes after placing our orders, two of us ordered the sirloin (medium) and shrimp pairing, the waiters brought our dinners to our table. The steaks were obviously on the grill for the full 30 minutes. Instead of medium, the waiter served charred and dried out extremely burned steaks. We promptly complained about the burned steaks and were promised quick replacements. After another 20 minutes and everyone had long finished eating, they brought out the new steaks. It was too late. We asked to see the manager. She apologized for the situation and at least removed the charges for the two steak and shrimp dinners."

"This used to be my favorite place in all of Savannah for wings. I'm a local and have been here my entire life and these wings were the best. Since they stopped breading them I don't know if I'll come back, sadly. I asked and was told they weren't even offering the option.. no one else in town does this well, which is why it was my Favorite."

"We came to Savannah for our honeymoon and made a late reservation same day. It took us a minute to get seated, but we were given drinks while we waited. The service was excellent and our waitress, Caroline was very good! The peach old fashioned and champagne flight were both excellent. "Wife and I ate a late lunch there on 9/3. Be advised that they have already cooked the items and they serve you from trays being kept warm in trays over hot water. You indicate what you want and they My wife first choice was not available. We ended up getting smothered pork chop and BBQ ribs with sides of corn bread, collard greens, cabbage, red rice, Mac n cheese and okra tomatoes. The meats were ok not overly tender nor tough. The sides were better. The ambiance is not attractive just bare tables in a room. We went for the food so that was not unexpected on our part. Servers were polite. We would not go out of our way to eat there again but would go if in the area. You receive a fair amount of food for your money."

"We have walked around downtown Savannah before never seen this place. Finding vegetarian food can be challenging then finding tasty vegetarian is difficult. "Waffle House who? Man, this place is amazing. The customer service is superb. We were seated quickly even though it was packed. The food is affordable. You get more than enough (we didn’t finish it; not because it was inedible, but because it was so much food). The food came out hot fresh. The waffles are delicious. I didn’t get the chicken with it this time. Maybe tomorrow I will. Yes, I’m going back tomorrow. The grits are creamy. Sausage bacon tasty and cooked to perfection. That croissant was delicious. Soft and flaky. Did I say everything came out hot fresh? Even the sweet tea was perfect. I’m excited to see what that fried chicken is like. So happy I moved close by."

"Ordered the sampler for 3 ppl and had lots leftover. The mac, turkey leg, okra, and soufflé were favorites. The gold sauce is perfect. The manager or owner checked on all tables twice! The only cons are weak lemonade and no bathrooms to clean my sticky fingers."
