"Introduction: getting hungry at 3:30 is a bad time. Either the restaurants have closed again or not yet opened. I'll do that in the area. Fortunately, the Kebabhaus Sofra came to me in Obertshausen, which has a warm kitchen. So my colleague didn't do that. Ambience and welcome: A small restaurant with 26 seats at 8 tables was waiting for us. The mandatory shop window was plentiful and it looked fresh and appealing. The greeting was friendly and since we were the only guests, we also looked for a table. Service and menu: Hardly that we had done, there was already a service and asked us about our order. The service was impeccable and we felt good care. The menu on each table includes a trip through Turkish cuisine. Here there are everything that the heart desires and what is important to me, here there are still real meat on the spit and not this “hard meat kewer” that keeps more and more consumption in Dönerbuden and Kebab houses. Beverages and foods: There were Uludag (Turkish refreshment drink with fruit taste and Ayran (acid Turkish yogurt and water in a ratio of 2:1 with some salt. The whole foam is then stirred. In the menu we chose the kebab dishes (meat from spit, salad, frits or rice, garlic or yogurt sauce. As dessert there were some pieces of Baklava (leaf with walnuts, pistachios, honey, sugar, spices and rose water. The Kebab plates were great. The meat hot and pink and the salad fresh. We also licked our fingers after the Baklava. That was really delicious. On request I learned that they are delivered freshly daily by a Turkish baker. That was delicious. Conclusion: A good meal at a reasonable price, at a time when all restaurants otherwise have. If you like Turkish cuisine, I can recommend it."
