"Weisser Bock is a restaurant situated in the heart of Heidelberg between the famous bar street (Untere Straße) and the river. It turned out to be the favourite place for me and my girlfriend! As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent...setting a wonderful mix between antique and the luxuries of modernity. Sitting in any table you have a wonderful view of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering starters. I had the Tartar, while my girlfriend tried the carpaccio. They were exquisite. The main course consisted in a tenderloin for me and ravioli with pumpkin for my girlfriend, which really thrilled us. It all was followed by a delicious dessert! All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home made food. The chefs takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large selection of the best wines of the region, which are worth sampling. The owner is always around willing to exchange some kind words with all her clients. We really had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to the Weisser Bock! See you soon!"

"our last visit in this restaurant was a great disappointment. our son has made a week before our planned visit by phone a reservation, but when we arrived with related from the usa and the Swiss and informed them about our reservation, they said that it was nothing in the book and there was nothing available? table for us. no attempt was made to come to us and there was not even the suggestion of an excuse. the employee we mentioned was actually quite rude and very unprofessional. Consequently, we do not have the intention to guard this place in future - he does not deserve our business (or according to my opinion the ones from others). ."

"We were here on a Monday evening. The restaurant was rather full when we arrived. We ordered fish (trout). The taste was certainly good. Until then the service was ok , but then the waiting started. It took a while before they came to take...the empty dishes. I was then waiting for the desert menu , but no one showed up. After a while they noticed I was trying to get their attention. They were very busy doing the dishes and cleaning the bar to close (although there were still plenty of people in the restaurant). After a while we got our desert and then again I had to try to get their attention to get the bill. I indicated that I wanted to pay by card. They brought the bill and again nothing happened. Finally I stood up and went to the bar to pay the bill. One advice : pay some more attention to your clients and clean up when everyone is gone !!"

"I ordered dinner (Tuna Flammkuchen) from this restaurant about a week ago and had an upset stomach/diarrhea a couple of hours after eating. I threw away the leftovers and complained to lieferando. They wanted to refund the paid amount but indicated that the owner of the restaurant rejected the refund. Despite all the good reviews, they obviously served me something bad and didn’t care much about it. I therefore wouldn’t recommend eating there"

"I ate at this restaurant two days in a row because it’s sooo good. The outdoor sitting had a nice atmosphere. The food were very delicious authentic Spanish dishes which reminded me Spain I just visited a couple of months ago. The service was super friendly and welcoming. Almost all staff were greeting customers with big smiles. I liked their spirit. Next time when I visit Heidelberg again, I will sure to come back to this restaurant."

"We are always happy in 959, but the last time we were disappointed by the service. Not only that we had to wait very long until we were served, which could possibly also be related to the special situation under pandemic conditions, but also to dealing with the request for a fresh glass, as the old residue had up, was not worthy of the otherwise very professional and beautiful restaurant: With the pampy comment “That is lime, but ok, I pour it around” a new glass was brought after the competent waiter revealed to another. From a new wine bottle was then re-cast, this was brought back in - in the end it was charged to us. Possibly a mistake, the bottle was then taken off the bill again after our note without words (new without apology), but this leaves a bad feeling overall. As I said, it was mainly a waiter who was probably responsible for the wine, otherwise the service was fine."

"My friend and I were here twice last year. The food is generally great, but some things on the menu are always particularly fantastic. In general, the price I would say is worthwhile. The menu changes regularly and houses a variety of different kitchens. It is not as much classic Spanish tapas as a fine fusion version of it. While this may not be everyone's preference, I like it very much. The tapas-like concept of community dishes is very interesting and is well suited for a date night. Wine recommendations were always on point and the staff was always super friendly and has really improved the experience. All this may make it my favorite restaurant in Heidelberg. Will go again!"

"Mahmouds is principally a Lebanese takeaway with a few tables for eating inside and frequented by waves of young people. The food was very good , kufta , shawarma , tabouleh , falafel and other typical Lebanese specialities . It is an ideal address for those wishing to eat well , cheaply and rapidly..However if You wish to take Your time the seating is uncomfortable and cold on a Winters Day. The service is efficient and pleasant."

I was there in the week and you have ordered fresh trout today! after müllerin art. well roasted. when disassembled - the meat very soft? that's not fresh! the only dissolved butter with the petersilie given only over, not with fried, no lemon slices over it, only a small lemon corner (too little)! for 18,90€ woauoo. really bad price performance! you should only be laughed at the we when the fresh delivery is back. was sadly quite disappointed, esse forelle so much."

"we had an evening meal in this beautiful and cozy restaurant with good star-clear serviettes. the menu was generous. but we just ordered a light food including antipasto platter and a pizza just to pair with our drinks. the pizza was great. the service was also great and attentive. the price is not cheap, as it is mentioned here with dollar signs. (I would give, but it was worth it. we liked the place and recommend it."
