"We decided to check out Brookside Bar and Grill on a whim while passing through the area on our way home, and we are so glad we did. This cozy bar and restaurant is a bit tucked away from the main road, making it a hidden gem. Marissa, the bartender, greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. The menu had a great variety of options, so it was tough to choose, but we went with the fish and chips and chicken and broccoli alfredo. Both dishes were generously sized and reasonably priced at $35 for both. The fish and chips were a bit greasy, as expected with fried food, but the cod was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The coleslaw was flavorful and not drowned in sauce, and the fries surprised us with their tasty seasoning. The chicken alfredo was a large portion, with slightly overcooked pasta but delicious alfredo sauce. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the broccoli was cooked just right. The meal also came with a cup of seafood chowder, which was absolutely amazing with layers of rich flavor. We highly recommend Brookside for a great meal, whether you're watching the game or dining with family. The chef clearly knows how to season dishes perfectly, making this hidden restaurant a true gem."
