"This brewery sponsored a 5K run on New Year's morning. I was surprised to see so many people up bright and early for a race today. I was a bit hungover myself to be honest. They did a nice job with the race. But I really mean to talk about the beer and the place. First, I'm a craft beer guy and had not been to this brewery. Really outstanding. The brewmaster was out there giving out beers after the race. Super nice guy. The entire staff, on NY morning, was really cool and fun. I had their Martzen and their Midnight Mass, a bourbon barrel aged stout. Both were quite good. The MM was great. Smooth as silk, with a bit of spice I couldn't place. I took a few other beers home and have not been disappointed yet. Their red, McReddor they call it, is very nice. I'm excited to have found a new (to me) craft brewery not too far from home. Will be back for sure."
