"the menu board outside gives the best contemporary Italian restaurant in jasper . that can be true if it is the only. otherwise it was not. the ambiente does not say italian; the service does not convey the Italian style. there was the Italian background music somehow. the menu does, but eating from the kitchen had little eye and/or taste. the restaurant itself is located in the upper floor with the outside and inside area. our server was not very well versed with the menu questions we had, but did its best. our appetizer was half arancini. it was beautifully displayed with decent size components on a white plate w/ sauce in a sauce boat. but the sose was quite undescribed. my wife ordered the arugula proscuitio salad w/ chicken strip. it was mostly green, but again nothing special except a large part. she also had a side mixed vegetables that were in order. I had the mushroom ravioli. it was literally smashed in a white sauce that looked quite blanching and tasted. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with a dessert happy anniversary pleasing mixed fruits. We didn't expect that."

"My ex-military father is always looking for German restaurants with three tours in Germany. Saw Schnitzelbank Billboard drive from MO to KY to visit, so we decided to try on a short road. I loved it all! The building, music outside, gift shop inside, the food, the themes amuse the waiting staff, the decor. I was insecure about the red wine engraving in the Goulash so they gave me a sample. How thoughtful! He ordered it without regret. Merry lady! You even have a penny machine. I collected them by chance, so it was super enthusiastic to have a souvenir! Bonus that my dad was happy too. Thank you, Schnitzelbank!"

"Great place to eat when you are in Jasper! The food came fast, though the place was busy. Loved the fact that the food was so tasteful without the use of extra salt. My steak was made to perfection (provenly rare) and the salmon was delicious. The Bison and Boar belly Flatbread also tried and highly recommended. Service was also better than expected, our server Britt always had a smile and asked us how we did it. Make reservations! This place is quickly occupied from 17.30. You will not be disappointed by The Raven Bistro."

"I made reservations for my birthday 2 weeks before and asked to sit outside. When we got there the hostess was extremely rude and said there is nothing available there and kept making excuses to why we couldnt sit there. They sat us in a corner instead and it was very clear that there were multiple outdoor seats available. When we asked the server if someone was sitting outside, a few moments later the rude hostess comes back saying “ I heard you have a problem about your seating”. Aside from sitting in a corner with no view and defeating the only reason for us coming to this restaurant from OUT OF TOWN, the food itself was horrible. It had to have been frozen food before and just awful. I was so excited to try this place and it was a big disappointment"

"We, 2 of us waited for 30 minutes being first in line with the waitress and waiter telling us it will be a minute. All the while she seated a couple and plenty more clean open tables, I believe in waiting my turn but to stand there and see open tables did not make sense. She could have seated us and said we will be with you in a minute for whatever reason, this would have a better outcome. This was the second time we went there with a bad experience. The first time we waited at the doors to open on time, they didn’t open the whole time we were waiting and ended up leaving, going to Hardee’s, just like today."

"Farm to table, so menu is seasonal and often changed. Lunch menu had limited options, but enough variety. I had a fried chicken package, which was made unforgettable by the addition of cherry tomatoes and basil Mayo in exactly the right proportions. The fried chicken pieces were clearly not from a box or bag, but fresh, crispy and juicy. Just delicious. My beans and corn sawed in basil were also unusual, fresh and boiled properly. My dining room partner shaved over her reubs (recommended by server). A fruit crumb served a la mode for the finish was perfect. Service was excellent until the end when my friend and I chat and drink refills were no longer offered perhaps an inconspicuous attempt to leave us. Until then there have been many empty tables in our section, but the shifting of our server may have ended. If so, I prefer the communication to be ignored. Otherwise incorrect service. Prices are exceptionally good for quality and taste of food. Hours are irregular, so visit the site before. I know I'm back and my friend talked about bringing her husband to dinner. In any case, it is worth checking. Limited outdoor seating, also inside."

"Some friends and I came in from out of town for the weekend and came for dinner. I have very rarely felt so tended to at restaurant than I did here. It was a wonderful dining experience. To start, the tap list looked so thoughtfully chosen. Iselected a Belgian quad, which was brought to me in the appropriate glassware. For a craft beer enthusiast, I always notice theglassware. The beer was wonderful. Our server Gabe was phenomenal at helping me choose the pork tenderloin which was juicy andseasoned to perfection and topped with an interesting and well balanced sauce. The space and decor was also so nice. I could seethe thought that was put into all of it. Thank you to the staff for enhancing an already beautiful weekend during our stay inJasper."

"Omgosh. I love this place so much. The owners are fantastic, food is amazing and service is friendly. Seriously. The food! Chef Lindsay is brilliant. The quality of food for the price; especially in Jasper, is wonderful. Especially the lunches are great. Some of our favorite dishes are roasted or grilled pork chops, Hamburg steak, shrimps, burgers and this heavenly pan roasted sweet potatoes. You really can't go wrong. Note that a reservation is required for evenings."

"I had New York pizza in New York... these people got it right! I need to send the pizza back to get them browned up. Good designs, too. Near 2 Breweries. How could I forget the Lasagna and Cinnamon Knots!"

"Consistently the best BBQ in the area. It's okay. Particularly noteworthy are the dry friction ribs, the pulled pork shoulders and the Arkansas Brisket. For pages that sweet potatoes and Mac 'n cheese are my favorites. A nice selection of handcrafted beers and a complete bar complete the package."

"The first time I ordered Sushi here in Jasper. I wish I had made a sushi dinner. I had the salmon roll, like a kind of appetizer for my dinner, and it was fantastic. Apart from that, I ordered the broccoli beef and won ton soup, only basic price. The staff was amazing. Next time I go, it will definitely be strict sushi for me."

"I love eating here when I get the chance. It's about an hour north of me, but it's worth the ride. It's not like normal fast food facilities. I love the black and blue burger. It's one of the few fast food burgers where I know I can get blue cheese crumbs on my burger. I also love their dry rub for lemon pepper wings, it has a great taste to it. Love this place!"

"I’m writing a review bc I feel obligated to warn other people. My husband was so sick the entire evening after eating here and we were on vacation so ruined some of our trip. I don’t understand how this place gets any 5 star reviews and isn’t shut down by the health department. The food was all bad! The cornbread was especially disgusting it was so dry it was unpleasant to even touch. The desserts looked good but even my children wouldn’t eat them. They tasted like condensed milk and basically nothing else. We paid $74 for our family of 4 and I feel like I was ripped off, it was so bad. Then place is so dirty and smelly. We didn’t see the attached hotel until we used the restroom and then again had to drive around back when we were leaving. It was so disgusting looking I started gagging just thinking of food that I ate being made in the same building. Whomever owns the hotel is a slum lord."

"I’m quite fond of BBQ so I was excited to try Smitty’s. There is something on their menu for most people. Our table ordered sliced lean brisket, smoked turkey, and smoked sausage as meats. Our sides were green beans (best I’ve ever had), potato salad, dirty rice, and roasted potatoes. The green beans and roasted potatoes were great. The other sides were good. We ate inside at 6:00 pm. I’m not sure if it was the time or not, but the brisket was very dry. The flavor was okay, but it was just too dry.We ordered at the counter and there was no wait for our food.I’m hoping this is an isolated incident so I will give it another shot if I’m in the area.Parking: Plenty of convenient parking."

"This was our first visit, and we found it to be a charming seafood restaurant nestled in the mountains. The service was excellent, and the terrace was lovely. We both ordered the catch platter, which was generously portioned and featured high-quality seafood for just $20. I rated it 4 stars mainly because the beer selection was limited and didn’t include any local options, plus we weren’t provided with a beer menu. However, we definitely plan to return, and I hope they expand their offerings to include some local brews."

"Good food. Good price. Have eaten several times at Sakura and have tried several things. Your Bento lunch is well included: chicken, rice, California rolls, spring roll and soup. Your Hibachi chicken dinners are delicious. Have tried several sushi rolls and all are good. Very comparable to Japanese restaurants in larger cities, but much cheaper."
