"ox klee has long been an upstanding star in Germany's innovative kitchen scene, which stands for unconventional, young and creative cuisine. the new experience menu follows the goal of the teams and is technically excellent (as many have reported in detail here) but in order to be honest, I have seen ox klee in the last few years in better shape. the new atmosphere, background sounds and menu concept actually tries to be too hard to be special: its complex, partly extreme and does not follow the customer. winepairing goes far beyond the beaten away and unfortunately the sommelier is so impressed by its selection that all queries are brushed off. the service and practicing the menu is also quite hurried and leaves little time for individuality. offer alternatives or try to serve customer needs, not the concept. some feedback is noticed, but not really appreciated and that was the most disturbing for me. Finally, I believe that this place can be either better or has reached its limits. I really don't hope the latter. may be less in the future."

"haus zeyen is a local restaurant pub from the beaten stretch, visited by the natives and as such it has a fabulous warm, friendly and humming atmosphere over it. 35 years ago it was a bus station, but since then. it is a lively restaurant bar that serves fabulous local cuisine and the sion colsch beer stands directly from a keg on a platform on the curved bar. there are tables, but since I have eaten alone and it has been fully booked, I sat and ate at the bar, which was nice in the did when I filled the friendly merciful constantly the small 0.2L bierglasses and loaded them into the bearer they use to take them in quantity on the tables. I had to begin to eat the wobble soup, which was hot but tasty radioactiw, followed by the scavenger plate', 3 delicious pork steaks with roasted carrots, plucked, carrots and hollandaise sauce. it was hearty, local comfort and it was fabulous. the prices are not bad at all with my main dish costs only € 14,50, the suppe € 3,50 and every 0,2L colsch € 1,60 summing up this place is only fabulous and a great place to visit for every visitor coln like me. Very good."

"first we thought we had arrived from the outside in a take-away restaurant, but after step in sight and see the red candles on the tables, the very beautiful decorations on the wall and the cigar box on the bar we knew we were in a small but cozy Italian restaurant. the owner and his wife work hard and showed us the menu of today on a chalkboard. some brot with fresh tapenade front. my partner had pasta al norma with auberginen and I had tortelinni with lachs. both were very, very good! I could not try the weeping or the desserts (because of pregnancy), but they looked promising. I really recommend this restaurant."

"Közelben volt a hotelunk és véletlenül akadtunk erre a helyre. Nagyon hangulatos barátságos hely, csocsót (Kickert) keresve találtuk. A kiszolgálás vitt mindent, teljesen otthon éreztünk magunkat, nagyon kedvesek voltak. Amit utólag vettünk észre, hogy lehet 50 cm-es pizzát kapni és aki 1 órán belül megeszi az fel kerül a Wall of Fame-re (na meg ingyen van a pizza). Legközelebb tuti megpróbáljuk."

"very nice place, waiters were very polite and eating came fast. I recommend the burgers of the house and the pancakes (I ate my with speck). the participation was very receptive and I found the place also nice for friends who want to chat/study/etc. it was really one of the warmest places I visited not only for couples in Europe, but also for families and groups of friends."

"Very good food! Also the roast potatoes are not fat! Only the fresh cheeses were somewhat bitter and not completely finished, the rest was all the better. The dessert (Crunchtarte) was already divided into two pieces and dressed accordingly with 2 eggs ice and was phenomenal! Especially the homemade Salty Caramel sauce is by far the best I ever tasted!"

"Its a nice enough place. Friendly. Modern light Airy interiors with cosily place tables. They serve traditional "Breads" with a variety of toppings, home made chutneys on wooden boards. Nice aesthetics.Mixed crowd.I took a veggie sandwich (eggs, tomato chutney, chives and cress). I found the amount of chives and cress next to non existent. Such a sandwich lives from the kick from these herbs. I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper to Getz some taste in.My Friend had a camembert sandwich which was alright.The freshly squeezed orange juice was Fine.A bit more and it could be a place that I would visit more often.Price: some of the sandwiches could be 50c to 1€ cheaper. Juice was a good price"

"We happened to be here in Cologne when the Northern California fires broke out Oct 2019. We came here each night for dinner as we waited as the firefighter fought back the massive fires at home. This group at Hase is above and beyond FIRST...CLASS...the food and service is all AMAZING we ended up staying here unable to go home for 5 tense nights. We felt a sense of home each night when they all welcomed us. We tried everything on the menu and it was all outstanding. This really was a special place for us. We can’t wait to return and visit this GEM that served and comforted us soooo well during a very trying time! "the city forest garden near the müngersdorfer stations is a rustic restaurant with delicious cuisine. there is a beautiful terrace, but it is located on a very busy road and is correspondingly loud. eating is in order, but comparatively expensive. I had a fluffy cake that was quite successful. the ice that was offered as dessert was something oversized, but delicious. I don't think I'd go for this restaurant extra, but if I'm close again, I'm sure I'll look back in."

"I tried many burgers here. can recommend the big cheese. the fries are super fresh and well salted and the mayo tastes almost as good as homemade. the rolls are spectacularly delicious and soft and well baked, the meat is well seasoned and grilled to perfection, which I prefer medium, can recommend). the cheese and the salads in the burger make the burger even more crisp and offers the burger a completely new dimension of taste profiles that go well with the dominant flavors of the teller."

"OK, Frotzelei between the two big cities on the Rhine and both have a lot in common. Local beer and good restaurants! Unfortunately, our favorite Italians went from Solingen to Cologne and we were more often in La Piazetta. My first visit in the evening was not so perfect because of the high volume, so we are now at noon or in the early evening it was here and there it was more family, much quieter, but always well visited. Ask for daily meals, Tagliatelle with truffles or spaghetti with Vongole or the excellent calf livers everything super fresh and delicious. Also the house wine, whether red or white with EUR 4.90 for a 0.2 l glass is recommended. Conclusion: who loves party from 23:00, OK, he's right here too, who wants to enjoy good food at lunch or early evening."

"the hotel is located in a residential area of lövenich, this restaurant has pleasantly surprised us. friendly and helpful waiter, pleasant design in the inner, good tasting eating made our visit relaxing and we would probably come back. the menu has 5 main compartments (scarving, Argentine steak, pork, table lace and chicken breast), and this time there were no seasonal dishes. the portions are quite large, so that going with a main dish is highly recommended. we had a steak and a carving- both were good, we have especially appreciated that he had a gentle and light dressing with not too much edgy. the potato-cubber salad, which was served one for the scavenger, was better than expected. we were the first to come (it is open from 18 o'clock,) and then we saw many families coming to enjoy dinner, which gave the place a pleasant feeling."

"My twin brother Stephen and I chanced upon Meister Gerhard as we were wandering around this part of town and what a great find Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a traditional authentic interior, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar ,a very good place to unwind in. We were here on a Wednesday night, bar was busy with a great atmosphere, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted to have Dom Kölsch beer, served in excellent condition, we just kicked back,chilled out and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was excellent, Cologne is justifiably famous for its amazing range of Kölsch beers and Dom Kölsch although not as prevalent as say Gaffel Kölsch beer or Reissdorf Kölsch beer is just as tasty,a light,hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste,very easy to drink, when served fresh and in its distinctive narrow glass it's such a refreshing beer . We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this bar. Meister Gerhard is easy to locate along Rathenauplatz. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, 5pm till 1am. A great bar,well worth checking out if your in the area."
