"This café was bought a while ago and they are just as good as ever. It began as a family owner cafe with a loose christian theme, known for its sweet cream pancakes and motivating post it notes decoration the bathrooms. Since buying out, the menu had cut or replaced a few items (I would especially petition to add large piles of pancakes to the menu), some more tables were added, and the music changed from Christian music to mainstream pop music. The tone of the restaurant has become a bit faster with more busy, which is a light shame considering that it is previously relaxed and welcoming tone, but it still has the best pancakes, like, always, and an incredible pecan coffee. I respect the new management decision to remove some of the Christian elements to make the place marketable, but as a Christian and fan of branches origin, I am deeply noticeable that they leave a reference in the store that connects their name to the Bible and was reminded of the deceased child of the shop. 10/10, best café to visit brunch when you are ready to spend a little extra. I recommend sharing a big breakfast if you have two people who like a variety and a small appetite, or just for a person if you have a big appetite or like remnants pancakes - make pancakes for amazing remnants. Some even prefer them cold the next day. Other remarkable items included in their menu, surprisingly, the sink omelette- which was still on the menu was last reviewed, and is very hearty and could more your speed if you prefer a hearty breakfast. I don't think I've ever tried their lunch menu, so I don't have a comment. All in all, amazing place to eat and I double recommend it for after the early service in the church."

"Lunas South Shore, League City really disappointed me tonight. I was there with a good friend with nachos as we always do and enjoy myself until.... I ordered the children to go Fajita chicken quesadillas for my child. I asked if chips and salsa came with him what they usually do and IVAN told me no. Hmm, I was actually stunned that for the first time in 7 years the chips and salsa were not included here. I asked for some and he chose me $4.50 for a pint of red salsa and $4.95 for a pint of evil green sauce. First of all, why should I need a whole pinch of sauces for a little child's meal? Besides, a drink should come with me never receiving. When I saw the charges, I immediately told IVAN that he ripped me off, and I didn't want to pay and he had to take it off. I was angry! My bill with these fees was $21.91 for a KIDS MEAL!!! Once the charges were taken off and he took the order, there were no chips in there. If IVAN had any kind of guest service in court or knowledge at all, he should have told me that he was able to bag the remaining chips we had before us and brought a small cup for the full dish of red salsa that had remained. I had to ask the bus. IVAN would have got at least one $10 tip from me, but since he tried to rip me off, he got $2 for that bill. It was just a $11 bill. I also gave him another $5 tip for my part of the poster bill. I don't think he deserved it, but I just can't stiff a restaurant person. I know the industry inside and outside and I know it's a tough gig. I don't know anyone, but I am personally so sick of terrible service in this area. I assume it must do with a huge lack of guest service training. Hey IVAN, maybe if you really smile and have a kind of personality, you would make better tips! If you're here next time, we'll go."

"I wasn 't impressed the one time I went here. Maybe it was just a one time bad visit but it was bad enough to where I will not be going back. The service was terrible. Our waiter kept pushing some kind of special margarita that we had to tell himseveral times we were not interested in. When he brought the traditional frozen margarita we ordered it was already half meltedwith a shot on top. It was so strong you couldn 't drink it. He said that 's the way we make them here we don 't mix thealcohol in with the drink. To me that was code for the bar is too backed up for us to actually mix the drinks properly. Hewas not good at all. He hardly ever came around to check on us, make sure we got everything, ask how the food was, etc. Heseemed overwhelmed and couldn 't handle all of his tables and it was obvious. There was a smell at the table of wet towel likethey had wiped down the table before we arrived with a dirty moldy smelling towel. When we asked for a few extra plates for ourqueso we were brought plates that were wet and still had old food on them (see photo). Gross!!! I ordered the stuffed avocado 'swhich I was not impressed with. You can choose steak, chicken, or combo. I choose mix which meant you would get 1 avocadostuffed with beef and chicken. For the price and the size of the portions I thought this was a joke. If you want a goodstuffed avocado go to Iguana Joe 's where you get 2 huge stuffed avocados. At Iguana Joe 's if you order the 'combo ' avocados youwill actually be served one steak and one chicken! Jimmy Changas was just not good value for the money. Instead I left feelinglike I ate a below average meal that was small portions, overpriced, in a smelling environment, with poor service. Next time Iwill make the drive out to Iguana Joe 's if I am hungry for stuffed avocados! On a side note my daughter had one of their comboplates and said it was okay . Hers did look better than mine but I still know there are better"

"Had a great night out with the family and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. Arrived a few minutes before 8pm on a Saturday and there was only two other people in the restaurant. I was like ok, a bit weird but we are going to give it a try. After being seated we had our drink orders taken and chips and salsa hit the table. For the people that like a bit more normality during these times then this is right up your alley. Salt and pepper on the table, it was like a breath of fresh air. The chips are slightly thick with a good crunch and the salsa has a tad bit of heat, decent taste as well. Decided to try something different and we ordered the Chimichanga Ranchera with chicken. 5/10 Served with rice and beans. The chimichanga was decent but the ranchera sauce needs some help, it lacked any real flavor. The rice is your basic restaurant rice, nothing special and the refried beans were bland as well. It was not horrible but not something I would ever order again. Chili Con Queso Chimichanga with chicken, peppers and onions. 6/10 Served with rice and beans. The queso is really good and gives the chimichanga a decent flavor. The peppers and onions need a bit more time on the flat top. Cozumel 6/10 The dish is pretty good, the only complaint is a lack of flavor. The tilapia, shrimp, and cream sauce kinda meld together with the melted cheese on top. Served with charro beans and rice. The charro beans are decent but seem to be on the same boat as everything else, more flavor. Tortillas are homemade with a decent flavor. Fajita Flameada with Chicken. 7/10 This dish is pretty good, the chicken was a bit overcooked but overall not too bad. The chorizo was ok but like everything else lacked any real flavor. This place is definitely not the worst place to eat but overall could use a flavor lift. The customer service was good, maybe a bit more attention to empty chips and salsa but still good. Give it a try, it might be up your alley."
