"Lovely staff and dog-friendly. The Vegabunt pizza was quite decent, but considering you can get a vegan pizza twice the size for the same price or cheaper right around the corner (at La Mia Pizza) I wouldn’t buy it again. Overall too pricey for the area in my opinion."

"it seems that you enter a living room when you open the door, the atmosphere and the voluntary are beautiful. the possible pizzeria teig and topping combinations are endless and they also offer mock meat products from soy or since. I usually don't order vegan cheeze on pizza, but I really liked their homemade version! they also offer a large selection of glittering lemonades/mother etc. and beer. we really enjoyed our time and our meal there."

"Literally perfect. Perfect atmosphere, perfect food, and cheap! I've been to this restaurant at least 10 times already. The plates follow a well known philosophy: simple, high quality of raw ingredients, and perfect execution. The pasta is invariably al dente, and you can literally see the Chef preparing the plates in the kitchen (which is open to the public). The wines are a selection of fully Italian, regional wines, and the coffee use a home made blend of beans that is reminiscent of the classic italian espresso blends. Finally, one could come to this restaurant just for the quality, and variety of the desserts. The tiramisu in particular are more surprising than the rest of the items available."

"we went there with some friends for dinner . pub was busy ish . waitress was quick to take our order and bring us a highchair for our little one . food came out quite quick . but ... the irish stew was more...like a soup , not like a stew at all . the meat was all fatty yuk ! taste wise it was nice , but when I order irish stew in a pub I expect stew . ordered fish and chips for our little one , fish was mushy and not tasty at all . makes me wonder whether it was frozen or just over cooked ? cant complain about service as the waitress was quick to take orders and bring drinks . over priced tho!"

"I cannot understand the negative reviews. We always like to go to Maharani and this time the visit was a festival. The service is scary friendly, the food mega tasty and hot as well. Unlike other Indian restaurants in Leipzig city centre, this is worth a jewel, an absolute secret tip and every visit. It wouldn't be the last."

"This restaurant has a very wide range of choice and it was hard to choose. We ended up ordering dishes for persons to share, planning to take the rest home with us, but it was so delicious, we hardly had anything left to...take home. That's not to say the portions were small, as portions were actually gigantic, but it was just so amazing! I ordered Murg Nawabi, the Chef's Special, with prumes and apricots in the sauce, which I never saw in any Indian restaurant before, and it was great. My wife chose chicken Tikka Masala, which I'm aware is not authentic' Indian food, but it was the freshest and best Tikka Masala I've ever tasted. The chicken Korma had fresh pieces of apple and was also very delicious. The only disappointment was the fried Dal we chose as a side dish, which was severy lacking in spices and flavour, but it did not bring the evening's total experience down, still the best Indian restaurant I ever went to. We took the fried dal home, added garlic, chili, pepper and salt, and then it was amazing too."

"I rarely repeat food in the same restaurant when I am in a foreign country. I spent nights in Leipzig and I had dinner twice in this restaurant. I felt like the food they serve is of a really high quality. Besides, the service...is very warm and make you feel really good. I missed the Panna Cotta which if I ever come back to Leipzig, I have to try"

"The place is very nice and it also tastes very good. The fundamentally friendly staff, despite not all too high guest appearances here and you seemed somewhat unfocused and did not always seem to have completely internalized the point of service power. Not that we are guests free from mistakes, but we have already experienced something on top, so this small, but far not serious to note."

"Typical „Italian“ Leipzig place. Avoid if possible. The menu is loaded with tons of dishes which every Italian would not touch if you put a gun to their head. Portions are big so you will be fed. It is greasy, heavy and the average German will love it. If you value quantity over quality this is your place. Otherwise stay away."

"the restaurant is located at the rande of the Leipziger forest street district, in a quiet road between rosentalpark and stadtring. it is just a few minutes to walk from the city center. the garden offers a beautiful ambiente than the cellar room inside. The atmosphere is not quite Italian, but it's safe to eat. our appetizers, tomatenmozzarella salad and soup, were fresh and tasty, and so was the risotto with cut bark and porcini. drinks were also in order. we would then call informal and friendly service. a good place for a summer dinner."

"we didn't cost our meal. we had the mixed grill (meat) and the mixed fish plate. the food came very fast, within five minutes after the order. that means that it cannot be freshly prepared. that could be said: the vegetables were not warm enough. even worse....The fish was boiled (the salmon at some places almost raw). for us no more caffe madrid."

"the first time was there and was already surprised when it came, how beautiful it is locally. the recipe of the waiter was very friendly and to happen. then we ordered and were very well advised. despite the fact that much was going on, the waiter took this time. then the food came and it smells very delicious. then we all tried our food and it was delicious. the right garpunkt, very well seasoned, very arranged a very nice visit to the Olympics. we will visit the Olympics more often. it was a beautiful experience."

"In principle, this restaurant is capable of much more authentic cuisine than it serves. Its variety of dishes attests to its knowledge of cuisines beyond the Chinese, and surely it can't be difficult to be more precise with respect to the specific tastes of these...cuisines. But even the best dishes are just a little above average: their chicken in coconut sauce is deluged in a mix of readymix spice and sauce, which though it isn't bad, lacks all piquance. Their pho is large and somewhat tasteless. And most of their other dishes taste more of hastily added boiled vegetables at the end than the original flavours. The service is sometimes a bit too relaxed, and one can wait for a long time to get a menu or a bill. Not a restaurant that is worth going to unless one is in that particular area of town where the choice of lunch places isn't enormous."

"I managed to try most of the Indian Afghan restaurants in Leipzig and this place is definitely my personal favourite. All the Afghan dishes I tried were very authentic and simply great. They also have pizza and other stuff that don't really belong in this...kind of a restaurant... maybe trying to please everyone? Anyway, didn't try those since I was there for the Afghan experience, which is exactly what I got. Nice atmosphere, awesome food and good prices cheaper than the Indian places in the city center. Enjoy"
