"So nice to have this option for dining. I have no dietary issues but my partner does. I was happy to tag along and give this place a try. I had The Fun Guy which is a portobello based sandwich. It was very tasty and filling, yet I struggle with the texture of the bread, it tasted okay but kinda crumbled like cornbread. My partner devoured the chicken and waffle sandwich. He loved it, and I tasted the waffle and found it surprisingly good. We shared the carrot cake and it disappeared in a mere minute or two. Yum! We also got lasagna to go so we won't have to drive the hour to sample something else. Nice staff, and located in a fun area of the Highlands."

"The food was super delicious! It wasn’t busy when we came, we were one of several orders but the only eat in. There were booths available for indoor seating, but they also offer takeout. I had the chicken and rice plate, my boyfriend had the maafe and my dad had spicy chicken wings and we all enjoyed it. The portions were massive, we could have probably all split a plate and still had leftovers. The service was good, we waited a little bit, but it all came out hot and fresh! Definitely recommend stopping here if you’re looking for authentic west African food!"

"Their customer care stinks. While the service and food (eventually) was good their treatment of customers isn't. After spilling the entrée on me, they acted as if that was my fault. The manager did not come to check on us until much later and when he did he had the idea the spill was my fault. No offer to comp desert and no real apology."

"My second time having dinner here and it was excellent again. Had the prime pork chop (honey lavender) with ratatouille and gratin dauphinois. The pork chop may be my favorite pork chop I’ve ever had. Moist and tender, excellent flavor all the way through. We has their fromage (cheese) plate for an appetizer, with a pesto cheese, three-cream Brie, and a blue cheese with grilled bread, raspberry purée, and fig jam. I was so full from dinner I got my dessert (key lime tart) to go. Service was also excellent and the owner regularly walks the dining room to greet and check in with guests. One of our favorite places in the city."

"I have had good food before. But hardly ever has a dining experience compared to the two times visited North of Bourbon. Having recently visited New Orleans, I can honestly say the food equals or exceeds the best of the food I had down there.The consistency from dish to dish was impeccable around execution. But more than anything was the sheer hospitality. Eric, Brad, Jigg and the rest of the team became more than just acquaintances, but real friends who helped us navigate our meal and our time in Louisville while creating memories to last for a long time. As my brother said, “it felt like I was eating at a friend’s house.” I said “two times” earlier, because we had to cancel our reservation at a prominent Louisville restaurant to come back once we ate here once. If you are looking for inventive food and drink, served with impeccable consistency, with an unmatched hospitality, you cannot do much better in Louisville or anywhere else than North of Bourbon."

"La Chasse is one of our favorites! The owner and staff are friendly and focused on their guests having a great experience. Last night, I had the salmon with mushroom risotto, and topped with crispy shallots. Delicious! My wife and I split orders of crab cake and also escargot. Blake, our bartender/server, helped to make our evening a really really enjoyable one! Every time we visit La Chasse we see other regulars , so you know the food, drinks, and atmosphere, are consistently A+."

"This is our third time visiting Patio 8 and had another outstanding time. We were early and sat at the bar having great craft cocktails and watching the scene on the street. The bartender Estephe was an artist and used giant tweezers to add ingredients our cocktails. We noticed that the front table had a reserved sign on it and when the rez time came, it turned out to be ours. It was a great table on the bar deck one level off the street so really connected with both the restaurant/bar hip music vibe and the vibrance of 5th Ave. The service was prompt, courteous, and humorous and fun. The food is spectacularly good. We had the octopus tacos, ox tar tar (fantastic), queso mushroom dip, and rib-eye steaks....all fantastic. The steak cooked to perfection, wonderfully seasoned but was so big I could not finish it all...it had to be 20oz! A great value"

"we were at gary’s at several locations. all very well, but this last visit. service was exceptionally bad for a restaurant of this quality. it was obvious that the young man was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had to deal with. the drinks were slow and wrong. the order was very slow in coming. Eat was good, but steak overcooked. the chef came out to solve problems (more other tables had similar complaints.) we really feel that this whole experience is due to the fact that the management was not right in preparing our young waiters. he was a very pleasant young man, and it was clear that he tried to do his best. the cook actually called him to the table when we tried to explain our problems. he has brought the poor guy to the spot. it was very embarrassing for him and unpleasant for us. the chef then said that they probably need more waiters that we told him we believe this is a management problem and then leave. our waiter will most likely be excellent if he is properly trained and experienced. no restaurant of this kaliber should allow a worker to perform his tasks without completely preparing them."

"This place was AMAZING! My girlfriend and I came here at the end of our impromptu day trip to Louisville. I read all the reviews online and decided this was a place worth checking out... OMG I had no idea what was waiting for me on the other side of the door. I loved DiOrio's environment and aesthetic. Our server was kind and helpful. The beer was ice cold and our food was mouthwatering. We had a 20 pepperoni pizza paired with their famous dough balls... We were completely blown away by the taste of everything. You could really taste the freshness of the ingredients. We already decided that we're definitely coming back next time we make a trip to Louisville. Thanks for the incredible service and hospitality!"

"We had a 9pm confirmed reservation, when we arrived the front door manager told us the kitchen had flooded and they were closed. This was clearly a lie as there were patrons standing outside with their “doggie bags” from their dinner. We were on the road all day and looking forward to a lovely meal. This team should all be fired."

"Best and delicious food no complaints about the food, but there is no neatness at all, tables are not cleaned. they are placing the spoons and forks after cleaning the table immediately, atleast they should keep the utensils on plates or fold them in cloth or atleast you can place them on tissue paper, it’s not hygiene, really disappointed on that, but remaining everything is so good, food and service, nice staff."
