"First let me say the atmosphere is amazing, although a little loud, but in an exciting sort of way, not in a can 't hear your conversation sort of way! Our server, Christian, was amazing! He is absolutely one of the best in the business! He was knowledgable about the menu, the history of the building, bourbon and wine and more! Now on to the food! The crab cake appetizer was the very best we had ever eaten! It was pure crab with just enough bread crumbs on the outside to hold it together! Just big hunks of crab! Yum! We had heard so many times that Repeal had the best steaks in the city so we had to check it out. I am sad to say we do not agree! My filet was overcooked and actually charred on one side even though I ask for it to be medium well (a little pink). My husbands steak was under cooked even though he ask for medium well also. Yes, we could have sent them back, but unless something is inedible, we rarely do. We were just disappointed more than anything, steaks were still very edible and good, just not great! The $20 twice baked potato was not worth $20 even though it did have slices of truffle on top and truffle oil as an ingredient. The Caesar salad was a disappointment! The addition of white anchovies was different but did not elevate the salad in our opinion. The bread pudding was amazing! I highly recommend! Oh, the cocktails were subpar! I know this sounds like a total tear down of Repeal, but it is not! I think we had too high expectations and were just let down by our experience considering the price! So, with all that said, would I go back? Yes! I would but would chose very different menu items than this time. And I would probably skip cocktails and go for wine instead."

"Very quaint! The building was built in the late 1800 's. Very laid back, and the bartender was on it! We had the cheddar and green onion appetizer! Dynamite! Fried cheese, how can you go wrong? I had the banger mash . Lots of food. The in house sausage is good, but needs to be cooked more. A little mushy for me. Hubby had fish and chips with steak fries. It was pretty good. This is the only Irish pub that I found that has scotch eggs . It 's a great place to hangout, very nice service, just wish they had better Irish food!"

"Bruhhhh. Ok. I 've had two visits here with PLENTY of dishes to confidently say that this place just absolutely kills it. In all aspects. It 's a little boujee. In that approachable way though. I went in with a t shirt and shorts and felt just fine. It 's extremely nice and laid out. Decor is on point. Lots of reds, metal and hardwoods. My kind of style for sure. Even down to the choices on glassware. Phenomenal. Let 's just get to the food already! So soooo good. Presentation is on point, flavors are not in your face, but definitely there and contrasting just like they should! There 's definitely technique here. Even on the mango sauce that came with the chocolate churros. Sounds weird, but holy **** that was the best. The octopus. Just. Yes. Get that right freakin now. Perfect in every aspect, even down to the garnish. Service, again... great. Very clean cut staff that had their stuff together. The bartender was our server and he was great. Didn 't miss a beat and he was funny. My family and my lady were here with me and they also loved it all. We will be back together again and again if they keep this up. This place is great if you 're starving or just feel like a snack. Price points are extremely fair for what you get. Small plates are their thing so do that. Lots of small plates. Have fun with it! My personal go to here is now their margarita, patatas bravas, and the octopus entree. Happy dayyyyy happy day. Cheers"

"First time experience dining at the cafe. I must say from the time we arrived, I was very much impressed with the valet service. Paul greeted us with the most exuberant manner and had us laughing all the way inside the cafe. Our server Margaret was wonderful with her beautiful smile and friendliness. We were served in a very timely fashion. While we were there, we were checked on frequently by several other servers. Chris, in sales, made an appearance and made sure everything was ok with us. We had ordered the buffet which was plentiful...everything that we tried on it was amazing!!! The chicken was to die for, the steak was tender and very flavorful, the broccoli/cauliflower mixture was amazing, the potato salad had so much flavor to it. And the panna cotta with strawberries was incredible. The creme brulee (for dessert) was out of this world. We highly recommend going there and experiencing it. We stayed a couple of hours, it was such a pleasant atmosphere!! We really felt like we were treated like royalty. On a scale from 1-5, I have to say 10!!! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful service and experience!!"

"Located attached to the Louisville Bats stadium with a huge outdoor patio. Bar area is fairly large but the bar is pretty small. I sat at the bar as the place was pretty empty on a Saturday evening in June. The beer was the best part, as the menu items sounded awesome, they were lack luster at best. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which had 3 sentences of description that included all the restaurant buzz terms such as “aioli”. When it came out it was just just a dry chicken breast with barely any “aioli” on a bun. The Parmesan fires were ok, kinda soggy and oily, but the ones that weren’t were good. The beer was fantastic, food was ok at best, standard bar food with fancy descriptions."

"Ordered ahead to be able to get to work on time and when I checked in my spot I waited for 15 minutes and no one came out to deliver my food. Went in to see if I could just grab it myself and I was ignored for a while until a guy finally pointed out I was standing there, I was pretty tired at that point and told the guy to get my refund but instead he just walked off and said I’ll be right back with it. Gave me my food but honestly very disappointed with the service I received today."

"This was our first time at Taco Choza, the staff was fantastic, they answered all of our questions and offered several recommendations. The food was outstanding, we were all amazed at just how good everything was. The prices are more than reasonable, especially when considering the portion sizes, quality and flavor. This is a hidden jewel that is well worth the time to stop by and enjoy."

"I came for dinner on a Saturday night. The resturant was half filled but it was super loud. There was nothing dampening the sound and it just echoed off the walls. It was also super hot on the second floor. The waitress kept saying how busy she was. She didn 't bring us extra napkins like we asked for an didn 't really check on us after taking her order. The food wasn 't great either. The burgers were served all dressed but were not delivered that way. They just had the few toppings special to that burger. The food wasn 't great. The french fries were hot but not crispy. There was a $1.99 charge to substitue the chips for fries, yet they cost the same on the menu. Overall we were disappointed by this restaurant and will likely not be back."

"DO NOT EAT HERE! The server attempted to SCAM us in multiple ways. Like all El Nopal restaurants they write on a notepad and then ring everything in at the register. However, this location added at least a dollar to everything we ordered. Drinks (added $1), Queso (added $1), 4 meals (added $4), 3 Margs (added $3). When we brought it up they tried to act like we didn't know what we were talking about until we compared our ticket to the menu. They still tried to overcharge us after that. Will never return to this location again!"

"Consistent problems with food quantity at both locations, but this review covers only Germantown. Issues I have had here in the past year: stale, barely warm slices undercooked crusts undercooked crusts after asking “well done” overcooked crusts crust on a slice the thickness of a few sheets of A 4 paper a pizza missing its center; overstretched, resulting in a literal hole about 2” diameter cheese pizza lacking any sauce They are always very good about remaking/comping food if you notice the problem while there, but there is consistent problem with food quality and I would NOT recommend coming here. EDITED: I haven’t had a positive experience in over a year — so I’ve had no reason to leave a positive review. Rather, I have REFRAINED from leaving negative reviews out of respect for what the restaurant used to be. Consistency matters and the post is in no what whatsoever consistently good anymore."

Telling me it was already on the table, which it was not. When that fact was pointed out there was no apologies. Rudeness doesn't begin to describe the staff. Will never eat there again."

"We’ve been coming to Sunergos (Woodlawn) for almost 7 years regularly. However, the last year the service and atmosphere have gone drastically downhill. Either the baristas are so talkative they take sooooo long to make a drink or they are so rude they won’t even respond to a customers greeting. I once watched a customer greet the barista only for them to blankly stare back with no response. It was just weird. The last time we were there we only asked for 2 espresso shots over ice. It took over 30 minutes and the store wasn’t even that crowded. The baked goods have also gone down in quality. The last time I paid nearly $6 for a muffin it was hard and tasted like a refrigerator. I’m sad to say this is no longer a place we want to go. I’ve considered speaking with someone about our experiences but there never appears to be anyone resembling a manager."

"Update 09/2023 For some reason, an order of fries has become really skimpy, and usually cold. 90% of the time we have to ask for some fresh, hot fries. I'm taking back a star since this has happened too often. Always good. The hard part is choosing what I want. I like almost everything on the menu. They have really good salads and sides. The burgoo is worth a trip by itself. The meat is good, but I would prefer a bit more smoke in it."
