"I have visited Esperanza multiple times, sometimes just for drinks with my husband. However, this time I made a reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday, as it was her first time there. The food was okay, but our experience was marred by the hostess, who made us feel discriminated against. When she tried to seat us right by the entrance, we asked for a table farther away from the constant flow of guests coming in. Despite there being several open tables, she insisted they were reserved for larger groups. Even on a quiet Tuesday night, these tables remained empty. When we asked to split the table due to limited space, she seemed displeased and had to consult with the managers. Eventually, a manager agreed to our request, but the hostess was unwelcoming when she returned. The small table size made it difficult to enjoy our food, as dishes arrived one by one and felt cramped. When we asked for an extra table, the hostess's response made us feel unwelcome. As a local and paying customer, I felt our requests were reasonable, but we were left feeling discriminated against. Our experience was unpleasant, and I will not be returning to or recommending Esperanza to others. It is disappointing that in this neighborhood, not fitting a certain profile can result in disrespect. I urge the owner or manager to provide training to the hostess on how to treat all guests with respect, regardless of their background. Our requests were reasonable, and she should prioritize her work over personal distractions with her cellphone. The current treatment of customers like us is damaging to the restaurant's reputation."

"Server was Mike,very helpful since our 1st time there. Got bone marrow toast ceaser salad for appetizers 2 glasses of wine,French red merlot blend from Napa! Wine, bone marrow toast was Excellent, ceaser salad just Ok! I ordered the ribeye wife got filet migion. Got truffle butter with ribeye,she had white peppercorn sauce with fillet, Excellent! Sides were asparagus mashed potatoes,asparagus hollandaise sauce, really good, mashed potatoes generic! Dessert was cheese cake with blueberries some kind of fruit sorbet, birthday dessert was coconut sorbet, I'm not a coconut fan but all were Excellent!! Also got a cappuccino, very good!!!"

"we arrived on Tuesday at 11 o'clock in nick after we were greeted by the host, we sat in the terrace. Heather our server came by right away to start our drink order. I myself and partner ordered **** mary’s and our friend ordered a mumosa. we started diving with a grilled artichoke with garlic butter and seasoned mayo. delicious!!! next we had a bistro salad a unique mix of chopped salat greens eggs and wobbles, very good. for our entrees we shared the bistro plate, a 4 ounce petite filet with w/ steak butter on the top of garlauch toast and a cup of suppe of the day that was cream of roasted mais so good. our friend had served the main rib dip, thin cut prime rib on a Brioche beech w/ mayo w/ red wine au jus and a side caramelized broccoli. everything was delicious! for dessert we split short pudding Top-W/Frucht-Medley and nuts served w/ vanilleeis, so much for my nutrition, but good the splurge!!! our server heather was an absolute joy, she even put my small Sparring-Antik on, she was on our drinks remove crazier and refilling cute after required. the rest of the crew was also very attentive to our needs. I loved this place absolutely, my first time here and when I come back to manhattan beach, this will have to be a definitiw to see. thanks to the crew of nick’s for this unforgettable visit!"

"eating is always phenomenal here and the ambiente is perfect for a hangout, date or even only one night outside. the noise level is a perfect amount only depends on people driving, but otherwise it was a wonderful night with my friends."

"Excellent restaurant and great service. The French onion soup was delicious and the zucchini spears phenomenal. Definitely coming back for those. The grilled cheese was fine. The French quarter burger was also amazing. I forgot to grab a muffin, but the blueberry, carrot and banana are delicious. Our server was Gail and she was lovely. Very attentive and good at anticipating our needs. Parking is metered fyi. They have a sign that says service dogs only out front."

"After 2 visits both with negative results, I'd say it's best to avoid this place. Both times we were over charged. Charges posted twice to my card first time which I did get a refund after calling, second experience I was charged for 805 when we ordered Modelo. Then I received a different discount for having a players card than the rest of my table and was told it was because she didn't know we were with the team..umm you gave me the discount because my wife showed you the player card. Then proceeds to say we'll I was paying not my wife hence the reason for the different discount and if she provided the wrong beverage I should of made her aware of it. So we'll just avoid this bar and hit some others a bit further away."

"The Mexican food at this restaurant is excellent. The vegetable burrito is especially satisfying. The chips and salsa are also a tasty bonus. We had trouble reaching them by phone for a pre-order, but were able to walk in and order at the counter for takeout instead. Make sure to wear your mask and practice social distancing while there."

"This is a walk up and order place that has a great menu. I was honestly surprised at how delicious the food was only because sometimes the walk up and order restaurants aren't that impressive. Great breakfast or brunch spot for the weekend because it's not in the super busy section of MB. Also great with kids because you don't have to wait too long for food. Def check it out!"

"The Greek food at this restaurant is delicious and freshly prepared. We started with spanokopita, Grilled octopus, and tzatziki dip, all of which were tasty. The octopus was slightly overcooked in my opinion, but everything else was great. The feta crusted rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and was tender and high quality. Our friends enjoyed the shrimp salad and lamb/beef burger, both of which were delicious. The wine selection was excellent and the baklava was a perfect ending to our meal. We will definitely return next time we are in the area. The service was attentive and the patio was a nice escape from the busy Saturday night inside. Heaters were provided to keep us warm and all of the staff were fantastic."

"A classic South Bay Pizza joint. To be honest, it's not my favorite pizza in the world, but I've been going there since I was a little kid, over 40 years ago. It is good pizza and the prices are fair. It was the first place I ever had a New York Seltzer. I don't know why I bring that up here but that's what I think about a beach pizza. Back when I was a kid they even had candles on every table. I wonder if they still have that? In conclusion if you're looking for some pizza and a nearby it's worth it."

"The food was bland and not cooked thoroughly. I was upset that I o Lu tasted the food and left practically everything there and they had the nerve to charge me. The service was awkward but I tipped anyway because the servers are not the cooks. I normally do not post bad reviews but go the fish dynamite across the street to get your money worth. I guess the photos I seen were not their photos..."

"We had an amazing time here, and we all really loved our food. The bone marrow pasta was phenomenal, I have to say I havenât had something this wonderful in a while. My group also got the gnocchi which was amazing, and started with a really nice crispy thick bread and broccolini. Lady of the ballroom is a great cocktail as well"
