"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great experience! The atmosphere is creative and relatively quiet, making it a good study spot. The chairs and sofas are comfortable, and there are outlets and USB plug-ins available. The coffee was delicious, especially the hot iced JK Rowling from their September specials. They also offer pumpkin cinnamon rolls with a generous amount of frosting, which looked tempting even though we didn't try them. I highly recommend this place, although I do wish they stayed open later."

"Great little stop just off downtown Mansfield for Soup, Salad and Sandwiches. Plenty of delicious dessert and coffee options also. A variety of relaxing seating options inside but don?t miss just hanging out on the well shaded spacious frontporch. Loved the BLT and garden side salad but will be back to try their other offerings. Daughter had the Prime panini and ajalapeño soup. Sat near the kitchen exit and was amazed at the size and presentation of the food coming out. Obviously, madewith love. 9/30 update. Came back snd had the Chicken Salad Sandwich with a side of Tomato Basil soup. Another deliciousexperience. Soups was well puréed and seasoned perfectly. Had a lite bite of spice and acidity, could sip on this allafternoon. Sandwich was the usual ?made fresh? I have come to expect from MaryLou?s. Beautiful time of year to take in the frontporch seating."

"We visited on a busy morning during the breakfast rush. Wait list sign up was very easy I received a text after a 30 minute wait. We waited another 10 minutes, then were given the option of sitting at the bar instead of waiting longer for a table, which we appreciated. I was curious ordered their French toast sticks. They 're made from soaked biscuits instead of bread, which happens to be a pretty darn delicious twist. Also, their homemade breakfast sausage is beyond tasty!"

"Okay it is a Taco shop. The decor in the restaurant is okay but highly functional. Safe for kids! The bar is good with plenty of TVs with sports on them. Nice selection on tap. Think sports bar meets taco shop. Then there is the outside bar seating. Very good for young people. Lots of shade and drinks. Finally, the food: the Chicken Fajita Salad-is incredible. Tacos are top notch and the sauce is to die for. Hooked yet? They run lots of specials like Taco Tuesday just yesterday $1.50 tacos on National Taco day."

"Best burger around… yes, it is a seafood focused restaurant. Still, burger is cooked to perfection with a toasty bun and all the fixins. I like to add bacon, cheese, avocado and some grilled jalapeños….amazing. Fries are well seasoned and have a great crispy exterior. Just get it! Gumbo is as good as any I have had in Cajun country. This place knows how to make a good roux, taken to the edge of smoke with that old penny coloration. A beautiful thing. Some of my favorite things: Makers Old Fashion several great bartenders here all days of the week. The house salad yes, sounds simple, but this is a unique treat. From the fresh greens to the candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles and white balsamic dressing. Oyster Nachos the pico and the chipotle tarter make a unique blend and a great match. Peel n Eat shrimp so fresh and clean Garlic Caper Salmon you can just order a sample of the sauce and sip on it, wow…and yes I did Chargrilled Oysters caution hot shell, cheesy and flavorful Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich so good, and so spicy. I’m sweating at the thought. All of their Soups, Bisques and Chowders Anything blackened , mixed veggies added tops it off. Get a blackened pick two. Finally, Shrimp and Grits heavenly gifts of brown sugar bacon, Andouille sausage and perfectly cooked grits. Well stocked bar and great local beer selection. You will feel right at home. 1/9 update: tried the Southwest Brunch Burger, photo attached. Bacon, mayo, lettuce, fried egg and a fried green tomato to round it off. Accompanied by the always perfect seasoned French fries. First their regular burger can’t be topped and this is not trying to dethrone that masterpiece. Everything is done right for this one, but would like more of a southwest seasoning kick. Very enjoyable. 1/18 update Again with the Old Fashions…my usual, but they make them perfect! Had Southwest BBQ Shrimp Tacos with Jalapeño Cheddar Rice. Delicious with the tangy bbq sauce and countering mango relish. Talented and creative recipes come through again. Picture added. I still like the Chipotle BBQ Shrimp Quesadillas best, but this is great as it is. 2/10 update: try the burger with cheese and bacon then have them do the patty blackened … wow!"

"We ordered by phone an hour before a scheduled meeting with 10 people, incuding one on a gluten-free diet. We also had three large Hawaiian salads and three Greek salads, which we served in 2 large bowls at home for all to share. That and 4 pizzas were the perfect amount of food for everyone, for a total of about $150. Palios is always tasty, and a good value!"

"first everything we had was great. starting the garlic bread is delicious, I had the lemon huh and it was very good, but hard on the lemon so if they remain after a lighter taste of this. my man had the cocks alfredo and it was the best. we also had the crème brûlée for dessert, I was pleasantly surprised about the lemon taste it was not too strong and my man and I both loved it. we will definitely come back! we could get a last-minute reservation, and our server and the management were all very attentive. the live music was also a plus! 10/10"

"So let me start by saying I'll never be free for a Saturday night, but this night I have. I started with an old school martini that was made as I like it. And yes, I was the guy, the bartender. Next I ordered a pizza from the bar and it was short of amazing, the taste and dough was great. Next I ordered a duck that was not in the menu, but no problem that they were obliged. It was a pasta dish and like pasta goes this place cooks as it should be cooked. Perfect. The truth is said that I'm working here, but not on Saturday, but not the less I came here because I knew that the food and service would be perfect nearby. 5 stars.... if you have good food, good service and feeling the most important person in the building come here, you will not be disappointed"

"This place has been open a while but I have never considered going until we decided to catch a show at the local playhouse and wanted a decent meal before going. Hudson and Essex did not disappoint at all. I've been to some really great, upscale restaurants in my time and Hudson and Essex is very good. My steak was cooked to perfection, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere wasn't stuffy at all. Sometimes getting an upscale meal means eating in silence, and agonizing over what freaking fork to use, but Hudson and Essex has found a way to combine an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere with food that will blow your mind. You really do the get the best of all worlds here. We will definitely be back!"

"Visit this location with a large group The bar was very accommodating and found seating for everybody in two tables. The service was crisp and efficient and the waitress extremely polite and accommodating. Drinks were replaced as needed and despite already being very busy the food did not take long to arrive at the tables. The food typical of a dive bar was adequate but nothing to get excited about."

"He waited 35 minutes just to say they don't have my order. In fact, they had no food, they had noodles and rice and that's it. The three cars waiting in front of me went out without food, thought they pulled before me. Three employees stood there and nobody could come out and tell anyone they were out of the food. The boy gave me free rice and noodles, offered free drinks. He was nice, but it's not right."

"I recently enjoyed a takeout dinner and had a great experience. The price per person was quite reasonable, ranging from $10 to $20. The food was impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. I especially loved the French fries, which were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The Bacon Cheeseburger was delicious, with generous toppings and a juicy patty, while the Double Diablo was a fantastic choice for spice lovers. The service also gets a 4 out of 5; the staff were friendly and efficient, making the ordering process smooth. As for the atmosphere, even though I took my meal to go, I could tell from the vibe that it would be a pleasant place to dine in. Overall, I definitely recommend trying the French fries, Bacon Cheeseburger, and Double Diablo!"

"We just moved to the area and will try the local donut shops. We liked the donuts here very much! Not too sweet. They were fresh also. They have Harney and Son’s teas and my husband’s favorite, “Paris!”. Pretty good service although only two guys trying to do drive thru and inside. Seems the inside, while cozy and pretty relaxing, is a bit tired.. we’ll come again I am sure."

"1st time there since everyone was talking about it. NOT going there again! They messed up our order and didn't give us an order a tacos so we had to go back, then we had to wait an additional time till they were done making them. After we get them, they give them to us like this! They're thrown inside the plate and some were missing beans and cheese. This place sucks!"

"restaurant is on the expensive side. service was excellent. bolognese is excellent. but the rigatoni at $22 seems on the high side. Lachs-Oscar at $39 is much overpriced. lachs was overcooked, the kartoffels are meh. I wouldn't order at any price. soda has a refill charge! they sell montillios bakery before place and it is excellent. the beautiful, cozy atmosphere and the great service unfortunately do not make for the price point at this place. I probably wouldn't eat again. but we will certainly try the pizza and return for the big bakery were!"

"Where do I begin? We just arrived from Fort Worth after my mother in law had her last session of Chemo and was looking for a good meal. We walked in at 2:10 pm, not knowing if we were gonna be able to stay due to the hours of operation closing at two thirty p m. We were greeted with a warm smile, and a yes, come on in, please have a seat. .My mother-in-law and my aunt in-law had themselves a very nutritious meal and enjoyed every bite of it. Even complimenting on the fact that it was not too greasy.I had myself a very second delicious burger made with truffle oil on the brioche bun... absolutely astounding!Joshua, our waiter was excellent, fast, friendly, focused, and never rushed us during our meal. I 'm not one to enter a restaurant in the waning minutes before closing, but it was our first time, and again, she was hungry after her last treatment. We were given the red carpet on a Friday afternoon during the hot Texas summer. Thank you, Joshua, lovely hostess who greeted us and Hearth Cafe for an incredible meal!"

"with my best friend for lunch. I had the lunch special that includes a small flat pizza, a drink and an salat or suppe. first I have to thank my waitress. she did a great job! I forgot to ask your name, but I'll mention you next time. I didn't expect much. most pizzerias here are quite bland, pasty, or scary with crazy crowds of goopy cheese, but we are hungry and desperate so we decided to try a new place. I'm making this shortcut because I want more. everything was perfect. best ceasar salat dressing, crispy romaine, great tee, pizza was on place. my bf loved his spoiled calzone. he said it wasn't dense and hard like other people. the restaurant was very clean, like the facilities. it is cool inside and there are soft music in the background to relax them. I'll go back to pizza night with the kumpels. I recommend this place very. update: I love this place!"

"On a whim my friend and I went there looking for good inexpensive food with good draft beers. We hit a home run. Our server was Sean, a nice guy who is knowledgeable on beers and very patient as well. He did not rush us on decisions and brought samples as well. Great draft beer selection, great food-prices and comfort food- good atmosphere and people. No issues on anything. We will be back...go hungry, they do not skimp!"

"Should only be called Day Cafe because they close so early. That means they have a wide range of vegan products and they have gluten-free bread. You have an unBLT sandwich, a hummus sandwich, a Chris sandwich with hummus, feta, tomatoes cucumber onion red pepper and spinach, a black beans burrito, black beans veggie burger, veggie melt, a jackie grilled sandwich with mozzarella tomato sun dried tomatoes spinach pesto aioli .. there is more idea, but that gives you an idea. They have salads, bagel sandwiches and no milk fertilizers. Also espresso drinks, icy mixed latte and chai. The Chai is nothing to write at home and the green goddess smoothie was so bad I didn't finish it, but the sandwiches are great! The staff was met or measured on kindness. They have outdoor seating in the summer, which is beautiful. Updated by previous rating on 2022 07 01"

"I drove from Prosper to try some Pho because I couldn't find any I liked in Prosper or nearby areas. I spent $90 on food and was very disappointed. I ordered a few large veggie Pho with meat added. It was all to go as we were going to a family gathering to enjoy it with them. The mushrooms and baby corn were added to the broth, and everything else was on the side, which was fine. However, the broth was extremely salty, to the point of being inedible. We had to add water to the broth just to try to eat it. My mom, who has high blood pressure, couldn't even tolerate it with water. I'm not sure if the broth itself was salty or if it was the veggies they added, but it was a disappointment. The chicken in the Pho was minimal and the oxtail was mostly bone, fat, and gristle. I also ordered some spring rolls, egg rolls, and fried rice. The spring rolls were good, the egg rolls were average, and the rice was okay. I think my mom took some pictures, which I'll add if she does. I suggest going to the Sprouts in Arlington instead of wasting your money here. I won't be returning."
