"Well. That was disappointing. $107 for sad, cold, burned food. The fried pickles were cut into tiny bits that were just...weird. The empanadas weren't drained of the grease and fell flat. I ordered a burrito bowl, medium rare. It was COLD and rare. The rice and the beef, seemingly staight from the fridge. My son and husband both ordered the Local burger, medium well. Both were charred. The fries were little bits, clearly from the bottom of the barrel. We would have brought these issues to the attention of the server, but we didn't see her for 20 minutes. Once she did appear, she didn't check on us. When she finally came over to ask how our meals were, I had only taken a few bites because it was so cold. I told her it was ice cold and she said it's supposed to be that way (I have never had a burrito bowl with ice cold rice and protein... but the beef should have been hot. I said it wasn't. She apologized and asked us if we wanted boxes and walked away. In the end, she took $5 bucks off the meal (thanks for nothing! and that was the last of the interaction. We would have continued to mention the rest of the food but clearly, the server didn't really feel like helping, so....lesson learned-don't revisit The Local. Not every place is perfect evert day, and issues can be expected, however, a staff trained in customer goes a very long way."
