"After I was thrilled by the historic old town of Münster, I wanted to return to one of the original restaurants. We chose the Toddenhoek, in the city center, directly at the parking Aegidii, which I can recommend. A historic, small building with tiny back windows. Outside a table where the daily dishes stood. Schnitzel with roasted egg and roasted potatoes for 6,90 and Kohlrug with salt potatoes for 9,20 euros. It didn't read badly and we came to the place. At the entrance a large counter with bar stools, much dark wood, cozy, safe even in the evening well suited for a luggage. There were only a few two tables here, but then the guest room went hose-like to the back, with two, and four tables left and right on the wall. In the end, a staircase led to a gallery where seats were also located. Here we took place and could see the plates of the guests sitting down. Most of them had the day ahead. Since we often had roast potatoes, we decided to order our carving once with bread and once with potato salad. The friendly young woman who served was a class for herself. Nobody worked so competent. Guest room and gallery were smashed by her alone, no one had to wait long for card, drinks and food, and she always remained friendly at the same time. Because it was pretty crowded, I didn't take any pictures inside. Because of the tiny windows it was dark, but many historically graceful lamps illuminated everything a little. Since 1956 a place in front of a butcher shop, I was able to find out the chronicle. The food wasn't so intoxicating. Schnitzel with bread had three small pieces of baguette. The Swabian loves sauce with a strong peasant bread. The potato salad did not comply with the standard. Thick potato slices in Majonaise, yes. Other federal states, other recipes, that is a question of taste. We've been fed. I like to give five stars for service and ambience. For food not more than three. 4 stars together."

"The Leve Inn is located in the middle of the old town, well accessible by bus and bike. In addition to non-students, tourists also like to mix among the audience, as there are, among other things, genuine Westphalian dishes in the Leve and a visit to Münster. A table reservation is urgently advised. Outside you can sit conditionally, there are a few small tables on the street as well as a smoker meeting outside the door. We were there with eight people for a small celebration, which we looked at in terms of clothing, because the dress code in the Leve is more casual and not sprinkled. We were still allowed to clean after we were kindly welcomed. The service was attentive and friendly throughout the evening and knew well with spice and potion. As an aperitif she recommended the house aperitif, forest berry liqueur with dry champagne and small raspberries (5,20€ . Well cooled, slightly sweet, but also herb due to the champagne, fits. Beverage selection is quite large, especially regional hammocks and the good Augustinian raw material are recommended. We chose the Augustiner Maibock (0.5l to €5.20, fresh and strong. There were water bottles at the table, whose exchange was a bit slow. The menu offers appetizers/small dishes (4,20€-16,50€, soups, western-fälische specialties (3,20€-17.00€ ), fish meat and pan dishes (from 14,00€ , vegetarians (up to 13€ , desserts (4,80€-9,50€ and extra asparagus dishes). On the way there were some wedding soup (4.80€ or beaten beard soup with salmon strips (5.20€ and warm cumin rolls with mett and onion rings (3.80€ ), most of which were the men at the table. As main dishes, we chose the following: red beech fillet in beard cream with cherry tomatoes, with salt potatoes (sold separately, 17,80€, esserin satisfied, on rates of operation Mai- Bockseparate served in elder sauce with red cabbage and late zle (sold separately, 18,50€, meat wonderfully tender, sauce spicy, esser satisfied The man chose the squirrel back with crust in cumin jus, vegetable bouquet and clot (16.80€ and was very satisfied. The crust crumbled, the meat was tender, the vegetables were crisp and the cumin jus were not intrusively cumin. I had the salad with fresh asparagus in Vinaigrette on leaf salads with a big ham (10.50€). On leaf salads was interpreted as a salad leaf in the middle. After all, there were some cherry tomatoes and a few crusty ham cubes. The Vinaigrette was abundantly dosed, the asparagus almost floated. Tastefully the sauce did not meet my taste, too little acidity, hardly seasoned. From the crowd and for the price, the court was absolutely appropriate and the asparagus was good. Overall, however, this combo did not blow me away from the stool at all. However, the bread served was very tasty. As dessert there were still walnut cups with ice, caramel sauce, crook, caramelized nuts and cream (6.50€ , men's cream (5.20€ and rhabarber crumble with ice cream (6.20€). My espresso (2.50€ was small, black and strong and made ready for the Maibowle from Mosel-Riesling with forest master, applesines and sparkling (650€ gling). The atmosphere in the Leve is western-fälisch-gemülich ( fireplace, wooden benches, despite the full house it was not unbearable loud. Waiting times for food and drinks absolutely appropriate to fast, we always got all at once with eight people. Service friendly and competent, cleanliness is given. The ladies' toilets are treppab, which can be a problem for disabled people. The food of the competitors was very good, especially the meat quality excellent. Unfortunately, I had (not for the first time somehow bad luck with my food, I didn't find it well. And that is simply not served in some dishes, I don't think so. Therefore I do not give stars for the food this time, because my negative impression should not affect the seven other good foods. I can only recommend a visit to the Leve Inn. Be it to drink only the delicious raw material and to eat a small Westphalian snack or to celebrate with a larger group."
