"I would probably not have found it on my own, but on this chilly Saturday early January it was nice to make a tour of well over an hour to reach the dormant village of Pleiskirchen. First impression of the restaurant is that you come in a Gast-Stube and does not immediately reflect an exclusive style. But does that matter? Not at all. You are, after all, in a real village surrounding. From another review I read that the service was a bit distant. Yes, I agree. I am sure the waitress did so much her best, but a smile would help and a more relaxed explanation of the dishes could be done less cold like reading it from the textbook. Food wise it was a real pleasure and yes we can always argue about taste on what you like as good, better best. Definitely I had the best beef-tartare of my life! Another extremely nice dish was the ravioli of duck and goose with a mild curry. All the other dishes of our arrangement were pleasant and the pairing wine arrangement was good (I got to know a lot more about German and Austrian wines! We normally do not review washrooms, but their renovated areas are very modern and perfect."
