The wyngs bathe in Korean BBQ sauce made us do a double take…was that chicken or nah?! The BBQ chicken platter on point. The cookies and chocolate cake to die for! All I can say is, just do it!!"

"café maxx is one of the few restaurants in fort lauderdale, where there is still first class elegance. everything is always top notch – from food, to personal, to the servers, to the bartenders, cook, etc. (I could go on). I no longer live in South Florida, but I make a point to try to go caffe maxx every time I visit. my parents were masters in cafe maxx and I had the privilege to work there in high school college. I am also grateful that my parents brought me in a young age. darrel, thank you for everything you do! 10/10"

"that was my first dinner experience in yakuza, I brought my son his wife and child and all loved everything. eating was some of the best we had in a long time. you make the best fried kalamary and I always said just greek make the best, but now you are. the service was perfect, our waitress was very friendly and very good to explain everything on the menu. the restaurant itself needs a bit private sphere perhaps some open panels to separate other sections than that everything was perfect, but a bit loud. we will recommend their rest and we will be back. thanks for the great food."

"La Vie Lebanese restaurant in Pompano Beach (281 S. Pompano Parkway, but the address is confusing because it is at the corner of a long strip plaza at the intersection of Powerline Rd. and N. Course Dr. . I have never been to Lebanon so I am not well versed in the middle-eastern culture except for Greek food. Therefore, I don’t know the authenticity of Lebanese food, but there were a couple of middle-eastern families with women wearing head scarves seated in the restaurant – when country-natives sponsor one of their restaurants, that is usually a sign that the establishment serves close to authentic down home cooking of that country. With my ignorance to Lebanese gastronomy, I’m sharing my humble experience based on what my party ate at La vie last Sunday night. In short, we loved most everything and were impressively delighted by the flavors that were elevated by a cumin spice dominance. The inside atmosphere did not project that of The Arabian Nights, but our server said that they do have an exotic veil dancer that performs on certain nights… Sunday night was not one of those nights. The vaulted ceiling of the restaurant looked more to me like an island hut, but the beautiful massive hanging lamps give it what I believe it to be a middle-eastern flair. Our party of 4 regulars do pick at each other’s meals all the time to experience as much as we could wherever we go. The service was outstanding. Upon being seated, our server introduced himself, took our drinks order, and a lady dropped a plate of complimentary seasoned chips and hummus. A few minutes later, we ordered the Mezza Veggie Supreme sample platter made of hummus, tabouleh, baba ghannouj, falafel, and grape leaves along with a basket full of hot air-puffed pita pockets (most delicious which was served about 10 min later with our drinks (perfect . Our entrees came about 10 minutes after we finished the Mezza plate (great timing . Entrees were: Lamb Meatball Tangine, Chicken Kabob, Lamb Tangine, and I ordered the Mixed Grill (a sampler of kabobs: filet minion, chicken, kefta, and mixed vegs. We all agreed that everything was excellent, flavorful, and plentiful except for the chicken which was dry (maybe it was just that night . Another annoying quirk (and a personal peeve of mine is that our Mezza platter had 3 grape leaves and 3 Baba Ghannouj and we were 4 people. This should be a policy of all restaurants for servers to explain that a sampler platter or other appetizers come with a minimum of 2 or countable items. The server should acknowledge the number of people in the party and suggests to add more to equal the party atvan additional cost. Lastly, one dinner plate was chipped (not that was the end of the world. We did not bring it to our server’s attention, but that should have been noticed by the chef or the server before sending the order out . C’est la Bonne Vie, but not quite La Vie En Rose. I give a 4 stars because it was surprisingly a great experience. Will I go back? Surely."

"impressive experience at anne marie’s last night. they do not know how big the restaurant is when they drive, but inside is so sweet! they have a large menu with something for everyone. the smell of garlic rolls when they go in, makes them extra starving! and eating? all I can say is wow! we moved here a few months ago and looked for authentic Italians. we found it. everything we had was delicious. the pizza is a perfect combination of crispy and chewing and the sauce is delicious and sweet. the meatballs were excellent with a huge puppy game by ricotta. cerrie was our server and she was super friendly and direct on everything. we have an additional tasty bite that our salads are served by the daughter of the owner, which is for a shade. it was such a positive experience and a jewel of a money! can not wait to come back and eat again....and again!"

"Absolutely perfect spot! Puts Metro Diner to SHAME. Took the family there on CHRISTMAS DAY, and we were sat and served very quickly. The food was excellent, all of it. They brought the kids out first, which we appreciated, and then ours came out piping hot and fresh. The pancakes are fluffy yet firm. The omelette were the same, fluffy and yet the fillings were firm and fully cooked. The grits came out a little cold, but you know what, it's Christmas and they were slam busy, no way would I fault them for that on a day when 90% of everything is closed. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and happy customers. We loved it!"

"Stepped in here during break from next door, Was greeted by a nice Italian looking girl I usually go for the Sicilian or regular This time I went for the garlic rolls (which they sell by quantities of one) Asked for sauce on the side They gave me 3 when I asked for 2 which is a great way to get me to come back! The garlic rolls taste rich in garlic with a mouth watery mix that leaves you wanted to eat 4 at a time. The Parmesan cheese has a nice rough texture Me if I could re order I prefer them to be a lightly toasted. The staff seem happy to work here not a bad environment to visit with family or friends."

"My rolls only came with 10 pieces not 15 and they also arrived completely different than the photo. Its whole fish with spicy Mayo on top vs chopped up and mixed with spicy Mayo. Would never order this again. Tuna texture and taste was awful. The miso soup was good though but charging extra for tofu is pretty tacky"

"This is a small mother and pop-German restaurant that has a very strange feeling for it. It has fun decoration and service was good. Our waiter suggested the Bavarian plate and a pig shell. Everything we tasted was very dry and Brezel was a bit stale. It was a great experience and we had so much fun."

"Such a special place. One of those hidden gems in a shopping plaza. Small and very clean. Chef has a small sushi bar in the front and about 10 tables. Always ask what you should eat today because there is going to be something special being cooked up in the back. A very unique blend of sushi and Italian dishes! I am telling you if you are adventurous you will be so happy!"

"I have lived in the area for 2 years, and I command my pizza, but here lately my order has not been good. I order wings that are cooked hard and very hard to eat. I ordered pizza tonight and told the guy who took my order that I wanted thin crust. They gave me regular crust. I also ordered a cheese pizza and for some reason it had no taste like cardboard. I tried to give them a chance, but nothing changed. I guess I'll take my business elsewhere."

"Lester’s Diner recently expanded their South Florida diner empire and opened a new location in Pompano Beach. They took over the old Cosmo’s Diner and gave property a total overhaul. The construction paid off as the space looks amazing and we found the service to be fast friendly and we enjoyed the food as well. This location for Lester’s Diner is too new to be considered a greasy spoon diner. Not so for their other locations that need some freshening up. This new space in Pompano Beach is bright and shiny with a slightly more modern look. Red and white with some chrome is the look here and while it does look modern, it has a retro feel. There are some booth around the perimeter of the restaurant, but seating is mostly tables. While you will find counter seating here, it’s limited and looked full on our visit. There is also an outside screened-in patio that looked quite comfortable and we can imagine it fills up fast in the cooler months. This location is open 24/7 and you can of course get breakfast anytime. It was 8AM and our server dropped off the breakfast menus for us which is identical to the breakfast menu at he Lester’s Diner menu in Margate. You can read our review of the Margate location HERE . The place was very busy and our server was quick to greet us. She was very warm and friendly and got our drinks fast and took our orders. Our food flew out of the kitchen, maybe 10 minutes? Lester’s Ranch Style Breakfast $5.69) – 2 eggs with 3 sausage links, potatoes, toast or biscuits jelly. I ordered my eggs scrambled and they were fresh and cooked perfectly not overcooked). The potatoes were diced home fries with onions and were seasoned well. The sausage looked a bit overcooked at first, but were actually really good. These were not the ‘brown and serve’ links either. These were the same ones my Mom used to make growing up and I love them almost as much as bacon. The biscuit was freshly made and on the large side. It would go perfectly wi"
