"It 's a very assembly feel experience.No cash accepted, input your own order into the machine that requests a tip for you to service yourself (note we did leave a cash tip in the jar for the sandwich maker but not going to tip a machine).The avo egg toast looked pretty, but the hot sauce was a premade squirt of something bottled not an in house sauce and wasn 't a fan of the flavor. Needed salt.The breakfast sandwich that came with bacon it was bacon crumbles not strips and it lacked substance as well as flavor.The bread was fresh the best part of the experience.It could have used a little more seasoning and for the price an included slice of tomato onion would have been fair. The price would then be okayish, but as it is its a little bit high for what you get."

"so good! they make it super easy to order online, and the boxes to go are well designed. they get both the queen and the birrie grilled cheese when it is their first time. it will not hurt you. imagine a taco meets French di-crust cheese. the broth is not big on itself, but when in....nom nom nom nom nom nom nom nom. salsas are also good. too many Chur donuts. light, fluffy and totally worth it. I didn't need the chocolate sauce."

"For the record I am a long time lover of Peet?s. I went into this Peet?s in San Mateo and ended up having to wait between five and 10 minutes for them to clear the orders ahead of me and, I guess, deal with their online orders. When it was finally my turn i ordered a coffee and asked the clerk if she would comp me a shot of espresso for my troubles. To which she responded, Twice, that she could not do that. I told her that if she couldn?t take care of a customer then I was going to walk and she just looked me in the eye and repeated, I can?t do that. So I left. Too bad, I won?t be coming back to this Pete?s, I don?t like the way they treat their customers."

"The boba tea at this restaurant is excellent, particularly the toffee bits add a unique crunch to the drinks along with the tapioca pearls. I heard that if you take it to go, they provide the toffee bits on the side so they don't dissolve in the drink before you enjoy it. I also tried the pear pandan tea, a seasonal item. The pandan flavor I was excited for didn't come through until the end, and even then it was subtle. I might prefer it a bit sweeter, but overall it was like a regular green tea drink. The space is small but charming. It was busy after dinner, so there was a bit of a wait for our drinks. Fortunately, there were 2 tablets available to order from if someone was taking a while to decide."

"Good food, but questionable customer service. I ordered an ice cream coffee, server asked if I refused vanilla and I. We were accused of additional costs for vanilla anyway, and the cashier seemed not satisfied with changing it. What was changed to $4... when we came back, they seemed even less happy to change that. It's a trivial amount of money, but it's the principle. Good and fair customer service would make it right without trouble or attitude. Edit: not sure how to react to the owner's response below. This happened today at 11:30 am at the San Mateo site, and we have dived. Take the offer, but don't worry about the ice cream, we won't return. Just make sure your workers have a good morality."

"I celebrated my PhD today in this excellent restaurant. I am glad to say that it was a fantastic evening and the place was absolutely one of the reasons for this successful gathering. "We are fans of Hummus place at Stanford, but San Mateo location is different. Quality of the food is the same, but vibes and ambience is more like canteen. My husband always go for lamb shish kebab it is good. I went for salmon it varies, not as predictable as kebab. The place and the team are very kids friendly. We are visiting with our 13months old baby, the team plays and interacts with the baby in a very friendly Turkish style way! Much appreciated!"

"There's a reason why Jack's is busy during brunch hours on the weekends. Some of their bunch dishes are phenomenal. Our favorites are the corned beef hash $16 and might moose (country fried steak) $22. We also got calamari $15.50, garlic fries $8, Jack's omelette $16 and Mama Ellen's meatloaf $20. Those were all pretty good. The only bad dish was the garlic fries and were served to us cold. All of our entrees came out and they forgot it. It was probably sitting there at the kitchen and we had to ask about it. Fries are not good when it is cold."

"first time in this established san mateo Casual dining house. they order in register and bring quickly their food. it was absolutely scrumbling. maybe a little oily, especially the paratha, but it was a splurgical night and totally delicious! the modern times sour bier from the bar that is connected to the restaurant has the aromen really complicated. I had carved cauliflower instead of rice in one of my dishes and it was fantastic. a great experience. it would have been fun to have some veganized Indian sweet dessert for, but they were all milk based. I was pretty happy anyway. not cheap, but generous portions and delicious. I will return!"

"great ayce. I suppose I've read some cripples here and stopped trying this place a few months ago, but last night I went with friends there and I'm glad I did. my experience was amazing. the sushi is soou fresh and tasty. Please order the lion king. we were in a group of 7 and everyone agrees that eating is so good and worth it. I forgot to make pictures because I was too busy eating? they have a large selection of rollers and they can also order hand rollers. the personal is very friendly. we were there at 19:30 and they were not busy. I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back there!"

"This is really a burger spot with little else on the menu. Burgers were fine, nothing spectacular. We received good service and the bill wasn 't bad. It was really warm inside, so we ate and left quickly too hot. I would rather go to Godfather 's further down ECR for a fabulous burger. Btw, doesn 't Jack own too many eateries around here already? There 's two more spots up ECR named after Jack. I wonder if it is the same owner..."

"I have been in this place twice and I can assure you that there will be no third time. I was seated immediately, but then ignored for about 15 min until I called one of the waitresses to bring me coffee. Then the food took at least another 15 min to arrive. I ordered the same breakfast as my first time, but this was awful, the rubbery consistency was like the food was put in a microwave for a long period of time. Throughout the meal the staff would walk by and never ask if everything was ok or if I needed anything. So Customer service was a disaster. I got the bill and I placed my CC on top of it for the waitress to pick it up and run the charge, she picked everyone's CC for the 3 tables around mine and kept ignoring me.I would suggest for management to review the tapes and see how the staff conduct themselves throughout the day, and remind them that there are customers that speak Spanish and can understand all the fault language that is being used in the kitchen. I am sure some of the staff could clean the spiderwebs in the inside of the windows, this is not nice to see while eating.As per my last experience, I would never recommend this dinner, not even for coffee."
