"First time visit. We had heard great things about this neighborhood classic, and from the front it doesn't look like much. Inside is spacious, which is good because it fills up fast at lunch. We arrived at 11:30 AM and there was a line at the door waiting for them to open. We were seated promptly and our waitress took our drink orders. I ordered the red eye chicken salad, as I was behaving today, and I was quite happy with it. Lots of buffalo chicken bites, chunky blue cheese and a healthy portion of greens! The wife ordered the roast beef croissant with fries and had to struggle to eat half! The fries were some of the best I have ever stolen off her plate! I'm sorry I can't give it 6 stars because it's that good! The atmosphere reminds me of places from my youth, and being 79, I have seen lots of old places. This one deserves the great reputation that it has. I will be back to sample more of the extensive menu! No photos as we ate everything pretty fast."
