"my wife and I have visited this wonderful restaurant in the last 20 years often. we were never disappointed and can recommend poseidon to everyone. they enter the restaurant to be expected from an ambiente that is expected in Greek restaurants. outside Greece. we actually go there to eat the food to not criticize or get mistakes in the interior decoration, or sit there where the thing is that we sit in south Bavarian and not on a Greek island. often as not the chef himself greets them with a warm, friendly smile. no fast eating here. they have more than enough time to choose from the excellent selection of Greek specialties, and in the 20 years we have there the menu card itself is always clean. I have lost the number of paints we were greeted with a glass ouzo in the countless Greek tavern that we had the joy of eating on so many Greek insulates. I would say that we may have asked half the times if we want it with ice or not. the half of the times it came easy and we drank the free drink in the mind it was given. the waiter and waiter at poseidon were always curious and friendly, and all ask about the menu will always be answered and special desire fulfilled. today, 22.12.2013, we ordered the warm anti Pasti plate. the part was generous, they are always in poseidon, eating well presented on the plate and it was hot pierced. the domade, baked sprouts, etc. tasted as good as any we have eaten in Greece. After we have visited various Greek islands in the last 25 years, we have seen a little in this sight. the warm appetizers were delicious, and the brot served it was fresh, warm and delicious. we ordered the fried fish plate as our main course. as we know, this is eating to come from here often, ready to order. after being actually in the kitchen you do when in Greece, the fish is fried first when you order. in other restaurants in sonthofen, the fish is already shattered and fried and is brought back to the deep fat freezer shortly before serving! not at poseidon. the fish was wonderful, the gratinkartoffles were made to perfection, and the Tangy dip was just the way I remember it being served on patmos in 1989! the main course was also served piping hot, what is as we like it. infact, after eating too many fried fish plate to remember taverns throughout Greece, is the plated at poseidon on a parfum. in the did, when I was drawn into the main course, I was transported to a fantastic island hopping, backpack holiday I had six wonderful months in 1992. during our meal, which lasted 90 minutes in everything, we were served by both waiters and the chef himself. an application to another part of the excellent rubbing fancy was met and was not calculated extra! when I asked why not the boss said that she was happy, we had enjoyed eating. I have never been able to get original Greek coffee in any Greek restaurant in which I was in Germany, so we always order a cappuccino. we will definitely visit again poseidon in sonthofen and again. we can recommend it to anyone who wants excellent food. if you want real Greek food to be served by Greek waiters with real Greek ambiente, then I suggest to book a flight to one of the many or the mainland. if they are in Germany's southernmost city and not a long flight and transfers there and back, then I recommend Sonthofen's legendary and best Greek restaurant."
