"The lunch specials at this restaurant are very reasonably priced and offer good value. The only downside is that there may be a communication barrier. Despite that, I will definitely return the next time I am in that part of Tennessee. The service is rated a 4 out of 5, the atmosphere is a 5 out of 5, and the food is rated a 5 out of 5. "We came because of the outside section (it was pouring rain) and because it had 4.5 stars. We enjoyed our cocktails and meal. We had a wonderful drink of jalepeno infused tequila with strawberries and triple sec. The chopped salad was very good, and the chicken schnitzel was great. Our dessert was a luscious bananas foster. Our waitress, Amy, was very friendly and helpful, in fact she recommended our choices and she was right. We had a wonderful meal."

"Had a fantastic meal at Cotter Pin last night! We've been looking for a new place to try, and that fits the bill. Even when we left the parking lot, there was a very beautiful gentleman who kept the door open for us (the owner perhaps? The Charter was gone so that they had no TV or card machine, but the ATMs were still working. The best rib for us and pizza for the children was excellent! The atmosphere was great and everyone working there was so friendly and nice! We're definitely going back!"

"The highlight of the restaurant was the food, which was hot and fresh. However, I was not a fan of the fact that my friend and I both ordered the same bread item, and it was served together in a basket. Thankfully, the waitress quickly corrected this and brought me fresh toast."

"We have 48 wings for the table: Parmesan: 5/5 Buffalo: 3/5 a little weak. In my opinion, they should be wet and orange Buffalo hot: 4/5. This is what the Buffalo should be regular. Not very sharp. Cajun: 3/5. Not many strong Cajun flavors get here. I like my grandma from New Orleans this recipe from its 100 years old Bourbon glaze: 4/5 Thai chili: 3/5 weak to taste The frits need salt seasoned. The ranch and the blue cheese were top notch!!!"

"The custard, unfortunately, tasted more like plain eggs on a crust. We thought they might have made a mistake and forgotten to add sugar because it was so bland. I took just one bite and decided to push my plate away. When our waitress returned, she didn’t ask about the issue; instead, she started clearing the plates. I then inquired if the custard was normally unsweetened, to which she interrupted me and said, "Yep! That’s how it’s supposed to taste." That interaction really changed our impression of the place. Although we had initially intended to return, we ended up exploring other dining options instead. A pie, by its very nature, should be sweet. If it contains eggs and isn’t sweet, it’s essentially a quiche, not a pie, which highlights a significant difference between the two. If you decide to visit, I recommend steering clear of the pies. They may look appealing, but unfortunately, they taste quite unappetizing."

"Warning Health Risk....saw the great reviews online and was excited to try it as we were traveling back from spending a day hiking. Arrived and the first thing we ran into was a large private gathering maybe a wedding reception? No one wearing masks as they hung out at the entrance or as they walk between the banquet room and the restaurant bar. We picked a table as far from the bar as possible to avoid that situation. Then the waitress comes to the table with menus and has no mask....I ask her aren't you required to wear a mask in Sparta and she said no, then I asked her if this was wisconsin, which she confirmed.. we quickly look around and notice not one employee is wearing a mask including the bartender who is interacting with those at the bar we walked out.... if they don't care enough about the guests visiting them to try and ensure a healthy experience i have no reason to trust their food. You wear a mask to protect others.. State mandates are in place for a reason."

"SCD offers a wide selection of different dishes with a touch of classic dinner taste and atmosphere. It is worth noting that the waiting times are shorter than any dinner in the area. Their rival dinners and restaurants could learn from this amazingly well-trained staff of courtesy professionals. Your dishes are affordable and they are well worth it with the portion size. When I'm in New Jersey, we always make sure we eat there before we go. Friends took me there my first time, and now I recommend it to everyone in the area that what is a good meal without the cost or high cost. My personal favorite dish is their Irish breakfast option when my childhood had a taste, certainly it, where successful in creating it."

"a jubileee dinner. at the beginning of the week we used their online system. thank you for the luck I called to confirm because the women on the phone told me that the system has problems and not all ask going through my suggestion would only call the restaurant is quite old wood and astone. we sat in a next room that was very narrow on the one hand there was a large group of 2 tables that made talks and listening harder. because the sound appears. beautiful to see everyone has fun. I just notice that the room was very loud our server was sweet and charming. christina was attentive, but not intrusive. my thoughts were they did an excellent work we dined on thun fish tare, beet salad, scallops, steak finishing with a melted cake. we ordered a beautiful bottle stagssprung artemis. our first choice was not available. very nice place... fun and loud, but we would probably be regular when we lived closer"

"that was great. we had ordered an appetizer and didn't get it, but was not charged. I had the alfredo with garden car and it was good. the veggies made it great. fresh perfectly cooked vegetables. the order of my mother was a little different than she had ordered, but still very good. reasonable prices and clean. the service was somewhat slow, but they were busy and seemed very hard to work. will definitely go back!"

"The new location is awesome. The atmosphere was hugely improved when they moved! They offer a full menu now. Although it takes a little longer than expected to come out, it is well worth the wait! Being a new kitchen staff I am sure it will improve over time. My tip is to send someone early on the weekends to put your name on the seating list. They do have a seating policy that should be noted: 80% of your party must be present when it is time to be seated. They do NOT take reservations. They have their same great brew and some new ciders on tap! Definitely a great addition to Sparta."

"I just finally added photos this week. I ate there *before* corona. This review is not current I haven't been since then. Went Saturday, Most of it was excellent a few items weren't great. There were a few things that were older (don't remember everything, majority was good . Pepper shrimp wasn't pleasant, egg rolls I think were a bit stale. Off of the cold bar the cantaloupe was getting that tinge of going bad flavor and the cream puffs were actually really gross I'm not sure why. Might've just been old but I had to spit it out. (Not that'll be gross every time might be great fresh Coconut shrimp, hibachi steak and the fake crab meat was very tasty (I think it was in the butter shrimp section actually, still very good imo. Husband really liked the sesame chicken, coconut shrimp, sweet and sour chicken even though it was nearly too much breading and the cream cheese wontons. I liked the sushi section and the dumplings as well. Teriyaki chicken was a little under marinated but it was really juicy unlike other buffets when its like jerky. Because of a few older foods and a few gross ones 4/5 Definitely worth the trip and price, we'll be back. (I'll post pictures next time!"

"Chop barbecue brisket sandwich was great. Ordered a rack of what they call ribs and they’re like bird ribs. I know they are pork ribs but for that price of 28.00 they should’ve been beef ribs. I can get a full rack of beef ribs with lots of meat on the bone for 24.00 in Texas. The ribs were more bone, fat and gristle than meat. I will get the sandwich again but ribs not at all. Nice little place but don’t recommend the ribs at all. Parking: Parking in dirt lot across street. Little rough with some dried up lakes, or can park at Loves truck stop and walk up to it."
