"The Sunday brunch is quite wonderful, and sitting outside on a nice day cannot be beat! Like most of the Telluride restaurants, however, the cost of wine or cocktails seems excessive...but that is what the market can bear."

"Last Saturday for dinner and I don't regret it at all. I ordered the Elk from the contemporary menu and it was to die for! If I weren't tired of paying Discgolf, I would probably have ordered a dessert. Thanks to Jessie and Fernanda for a great service and cooks for a good meal. I can't complain about this restaurant and my new place."

"The food is another level. Pizza is my favorite food and Brown Dog is my favorite pizza. it is unbelievably good. I moved away from Colorado and had been obsessing about Brown Dog leading up to the trip. Unfortunately the staff have gotten a little too comfortable about how good the food is. We sat at the bar and got to the point where the couple who sat minutes before us had already finished their meal and we had not yet had the chance to order. When I asked if we could order food the waitress was extremely rude. I was taken aback. I get it, tourists are annoying and you'd rather have your locals there but it doesn't mean treating anyone paying for a meal with a lack of respect. I'm left with lukewarm feelings, who knows, maybe it was an off day but appreciate your customers and they will appreciate you... next time we'll carry out."

"Amazing food, atmosphere and service!! Meghan is so sweet and the hostess is awesome. My favorite go to restaurant in downtown. I will be back! We had the bread, mussels, trout and linguine. Mussels had curry base and was savory and seasoned well. I love that they have gf vegan options too. Nothing was overtly salty and everything tasted so fresh. Save room for dessert because the bread pudding was delicious!"

"We sat at the bar and had dinner there and was quite nice. The view was spectacular as we got a table by the window. The food was very good. The price for a glass of Cabernet was ridiculously expensive I ordered a Chardonnay instead."

"This rating is only based on the breakfast burritos . The only place in town that had breakfast burritos left on a Sunday around noon. Got one veggie and one with sausage. They were subpar at best which is probably why they were the only ones in town left. Eggs had no flavor and tasted like powder eggs from a continental breakfast. Overall bland burrito even with the mediocre salsa. Would not recommend. Chocolate croissant and peanut butter cookie were pretty tasty and the place was very busy so I imagine the other food is good. Cute vibe. Outdoor seating (not sure if dog friendly)"

"This has been our second visit to this restaurant and, overall, it has been a good experience. Some of the food items are excellent and some are average. I've been very disappointed in their cocktails. I've tried their listed cocktails and an unlisted old fashioned. The old fashioned was undrinkable, so they need to do something about their beverage service. The ambiance is small but pleasant. Service has been average. Prices are high but not unusual for Telluride."

"Service was great. Drinks were good. 80% of the food was amazing (Crack-Fries, Blanco queso sketched, Nola, Yardcore, Belly upstairs and that Rick Ross Sauce mmm) but the Boggi was not a bozen. My group of friends are all Avid Korean food eaters, with two being Korean, were not impressed by the taste or choice of meat. Eating here, you can absolutely do with just two tacos and one side when hungry."

"A friend wanted to eat in one of the glass igloos. She also reviewed the online menu, which sealed the deal with duck and Foie gras being posted. We rearranged our schedules to meet the restaurant's availability. This place has also gone prix fixe with a few items having an upcharge. The igloo was a cool experience. The dining menu does not match the online menu. Our server seemed a bit put out when we mentioned that the reason we came was because of the online menu. It wasn't the servers fault and we didn't grumble much about the issue, just stated that if the menu changes frequently the website person should make the updates. The rest of the service was great!!! Food was fine. I don't know there is a new chef, new management or what, but the restaurant and food are not the same as my last visit. In all fairness that was pre-Covid, but that trip ranked a 5 star service. Drink prices are crazy. I ordered a cognac French 75 and it is $30! That price is posted on the menu, but as it was a special occasion I splurged. It was good, but not $30 worth."

"Another fantastic dinner at there. Sebastian made our night. We make it a point to do a dinner here every trip to Telluride and it’s consistently our favorite night out. Love (LOVE the atmosphere the service model — your server is also your bartender and also a food runner…it wouldn’t work most places but it works here because the staff is that awesome. The food and cocktails are both on point simple things done right with creative flair. Couple things to note for first timers: 1 The bar is the best seat in the house. Go in hoping for a bar seat, don’t be disappointed by it. 2 This place is tiny and LOUD (with great music and lively conversation . Both in the best way. But not a place for a quiet date night or a family dinner with the kids if that’s what you’re looking for. 3 expect to make friends with your bartender…and the people sitting next to you…and maybe the table behind you too : It’s an all around good time and a great meal."

"Our server gave us menus and told us about the specials and then walked off before asking us if we wanted any beverages or an appetizer. When he came back to the area, he took orders from two other tables but didn’t come back to ask if we were ready to order, so we had to ask the host to help us. The restaurant was not super busy, and we were told it would take 30 minutes to get our food once we had ordered. It ended up being closer to 45. When our meal finally arrived, we were surprised by the potion of the entree we split. It was advertised as being 7 oz but looked more like 4 oz of meat. For the price we paid, we will be eating elsewhere in the future. We have been coming to Telluride for many years and have eaten at Black Iron quite a few times. It seems the food and service has gone downhill."

"What a treat dining here turned out to be after a long hike at elevation in beautiful Telluride! Not many folks seem interested in fondue during the height of Summer, as we were the only ones in the restaurant, but how can anyone refuse a variety of creamy cheese blends for endless dipping pleasure plus unique signature cocktails?! In addition to ordering the delicious Telluride Scraple fondue, we were introduced to the Raclette a hot stone with melted Gruyere and other roasted vegetables and a potato mash and cornichons, served with toasted bread slices that begged for more! Our server was knowledgeable and our chef a delight we watched him prepare it all from our table! A definite must try for anyone visiting this charming mountain getaway we'll be sure to return when next in Telluride!"

"This place is above exceptional. This is by far the best Italian experience I've ever had and I've had a lot of them! Appetizer, entrees, even the bread; each time I found myself once again scouring the plate. From the crispness of the lettuce to the perfection of the bread you just can't go wrong here. My personal favorites are the ravioli, calamari and creme brulee. Highly recommend making it a serious point to stop here if you're in telluride!"

"Everything we got was amazing! We tried the wings best buffalo I've ever had, jalapeño lime was such a unique and good flavor, steak frites better than I've gotten at steak restaurants, the bacon burger my son devoured, and the kids burger and Mac and cheese both much better quality than you usually get on kids meals. The beer selection is also diverse and was not disappointed with what we tried. Wish we had gotten a flight probably our only complaint. Would 100% come back!"
