"We had the Carolina steak tips and the chicken Caesar pizza, as a carry out order. The steak was cooked well and the Carolina Gold sauce was great. Mashed potatoes and coleslaw were great. The pizza was cooked well and tasted ok, the chicken was shredded too much as to be stringy. My experience with the service took this down to two stars overall. The child working the front counter could barely contain her negativity. Upon walking in, she was curt and when I asked about a takeout menu, she simply pointed at the wall. While I was waiting, I heard her have multiple private conversations with other workers in public areas of the restaurant. She was only helped or provided support from the two other workers sitting at the front when she was obviously overwhelmed or on the phone. I observed that other takeout orders were put in a large paper bag; mine (small pizza box and entree container) was simply handed to me. The paid-for drink was not provided to me, but I could not have juggled the food and drink at the same time anyway. I came back for the 20oz soda and, after the staff acted put out that I had asked for what had been paid for, I was given two kids plastic cups. When we opened the takeout container for the entree, everything was shoved in the box, and not everything was packed separately. This means the delicious Carolina sauce got all over everything, including the outside of the side dish containers. All in all, I will not be visiting this restaurant again."

"The Ravens Nest is a very well-known and similarly enthusiastic place for locals. “The Nest” belongs to the Mcaulliff family of 5. It would not be surprising to me if you met the owner or a member of his family when you visit, because he is unbelievably at his offices “Tessie’s” just two doors down there is also a hidden jewel of the same family). They have built an incredibly remarkable staff, environment and culinary experience. Tonight, I hunted one of their parentheses, and, in my opinion, most delicious meals. I came to the bar at 5:45 on a Sunday; Although they had arrived from a day, the environment never seemed overwhelming and somehow always close to immaculate. With a rear deck, indoor dining area/bar with large open windows and a large *good designed dog friendly * terrace area in front to choose, you can essentially choose your mood for the night. I started ordering a mango beer by catching her tap list of bartender Jess... and then a few more), I then ordered the 4 cheese tortellini with shrimps. Jess was fantastic at the bar to make sure that I and the other people around me had water, rounds and food, as needed 3 different locals met conversation with me during my visit and had only good things to say about this place). The beer was a unique, delicious from CA and the Tortellini was amazing as always. This place is loved by younger and older crowds. A fabulously good menu, staff and environment makes for a 5-star experience and review."
