"The Maharaja in Weinheim was noticed by an ad to the new opening in August 2016 in one of the free weekly sheets, which regularly land in the mailbox free of charge with advertising. Unfortunately, there has not been enough for a visit, there has been no criticism of GastroGuide since the entry. On 30.10., however, there was an opportunity for a visit, i.e. from Weinheim. The Maharaja is located in a corner house in the Weinheim Old Town. Parking is possible with a bit of luck directly at the restaurant or as we are located above the old town on a free car park, at least in the evening, with a five-minute walk over the marketplace to the restaurant. The visitor can enjoy a glimpse of the front guest room and the counter through its floor-deep windows to the street side. Maharaja Weinheim 001} We had reserved what proved not necessary this evening. The front guest room for about 30 people completely empty, in the rear conservatory with space for also good 30 people 3 tables with 12 guests occupied. In the front guest room, a right hand receives the purist white counter with black applications. The guest room is painted in a bright ochre cream tone, ceilings, door frames and pillars as well as wall shelves are kept in bright white. For this purpose in the lower wall area an equally white wood cladding. Matching the light brown laminate floor. The tables are minimalist covered with white tablecloths, white fabric napkins, cutlery and a candle. White wooden chairs with blue-patterned seat and back cover as well as a continuous seat bench held in the same shade on a wall side round off the image. 2 – 3 pictures with Indian motifs on the walls, otherwise any decoch, we like it. Through the front guest room you reach the rear guest room, the winter garden, via a short walk and four steps. In the presentation and furnishing identical to the front, but here the floor with medium-brown tiles and a floor depth glazing with view over the roofs of Weinheim and the Burgruine Windeck. The modern and clean toilets in the cellar are accessible via a longer sandstone staircase, for disabled people this could be difficult. The ambience, if it may seem sober compared to other Indian restaurants, please, 4 . We were kindly greeted by three Indian, male service personnel, confirmed our reservation, left free space on account of the occupancy and guided there after our choice for the rear guest room. The candle on the table was lit, the cards were placed in a dark synthetic leather cover and asked if we would like to order Geränk. After a pleasant waiting period, the order was received, the dishes served at the same time, in between asked if everything was right or if we wanted something else. The payment process also took place without waiting time with reasonable credit. For the service therefore 4 . Ordered a Cola 0.4l/3,50 , a yeast wheat 0.5l/3,80 , a mixed appetizer plate for two persons 12,50 and as main dish Chicken Jalfraizie 15,90 and Khumbi Matter Paneer 13,50 . To do this, Garlic Naan 2,80 and again Chees Naan 3,50 . The complete menu can be viewed on the homepage. The appetizer plate consisted of baked onion rings, samosa's dough pockets with peas and potatoes, Pakora's baked vegetables in chickpea pastry and Paneer Pakora's Indian cream cheese, baked in chickpea pastry. Majors were already the three extra rich dips of Mixed Pickles, Minzsoße and Mangochutney, with the latter in the glass also going through as jam. However, all three dips have tasted, none of them have a new-lived highlight but no failure. Maharaja appetizer tips The appetizers have been freshly made for us now I dare to doubt from economic aspects, they have tasted definitely, therefore 3.5 . The main dishes were served in small aluschälchen on a hot plate, pleasant that the plates for the main bites were well preheated to the table. A large bowl of loose basmati rice and a basket with four pieces of Garlic Naan. Maharaja Jalfrazie r Khumbi Mater Paneer l Maharaja Reis und Naan Mein Chicken Jalfrazie Hünchenfleisch in spicy curry sauce with onions, garlic, tomatoes, carrots and paprika absolutely top. Delicious chicken meat, carrots and paprika still with slight bite, with a spicy/piquant sauce in sufficient amount which already spread an Indian aroma in the small peel. Also my wife was thrilled by her veggie dish Khumbi Matter Paneer Champigons with homemade fresh cheese, green peas, onions, tomatoes and spices. The sauce mildly spicy with the typical Indian flavors, fresh mushrooms and also the other ingredients clearly recognize and tasty. I could also like the court if I didn't miss the meat deposit. However, since it is not about me also 4 . Both the Garlic and the Cheese Naan were nicely baked without being burned, from the taste both variants kept what they promised from the map 3.5 . Both tastefully and from the look we could convince us the food therefore also here 4 . There was no need for cleanliness in the restaurant or on the toilets, therefore 4 . The conclusion of the overall impression can therefore only be read: 4 – happy again, we have found a second Indian in the area that you can not only visit again but also recommend. 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – necessarily back to kitchen trip."
