No one greeted us, told us they'd be right with us or said anything. Too bad. We usually like this place. Guess they didn't want our business/money. PS: It wasn't crowded. Not going back. "The decorations and atmosphere inside is beautiful. There’s a bar that offer drinks and sport event on the tvs. Good place for family with kids to dine in as there’re many tables, booths, and kids menu. Decent parking space outside of the dinner. The staff isn't very welcoming or hospitable. We got the chicken kastu and cha shu ramens and they were a bit on the bland side. It’s a bit pricey for what you get in cha shu ramen (3 thin slices of meats). We haven’t get to try their sushi but heard they are good."

"This was our first time eating at this restaurant. We went with another couple who eat there frequently. For appetizers, they ordered the lettuce wraps basil style and we ordered the Thai dumplings. For the main course, they always get the fried rice. My wife ordered the panang scallops and I chose the yellow curry with chicken. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was one of the nicest I've ever dealt with. She kept telling us to take our time and enjoy our meal, and offered suggestions about what to oreder. She stopped at our table several times to make sure we didn't need anything. At the end of the meal, she told us we could stay and talk with our friends if we wanted. If they had been busy, it may have different. Still it was a nice gesture on her part. Definitely going back again."

"I cost 5* reviews sparingly, reserve them for those who really stand above the others and I think this place deserves it. We stayed here looking for ceviche restaurants and then seeing that this place was also in my list to go. Although it took a few minutes to be recognized even at the front door waiting to be seated, from there we were constantly impressed. Our waitress was energetic, knowledgeable and decided on food on the menu what I want in a restaurant server. On their recommendations we started with a Margarita and Michelada with Modelo (see picture). They use their own mix in the michelada and while I can't claim to be an aficianado, this was the best thing I had in my life (so far... I recommend you try it spicy, light and not excessively salty! For our main course (and again on the waiter 'Recommendation , I had the Ceviche Mixto and my wife ordered the Churrasco (see pictures). Both were delicious, especially with the homemade green spicy sauce that the waitress brought out to try. As good as the main course was, it became even better. For dessert or waitress the Coconut Fried Banana hit with ice cream (see picture and I can't even begin to describe how delicious that was! A large fried coconut coating on the banana, which was so well enriched with the ice. Finally, with our stomach plump full of amazing food, the waitress reminded us to come back to try other menu items... because they try so many other great flavors! We can't wait back! "Good burgers. Amazing fries. Prices are reasonable. The food is fresh and quick. We 've never had a long wait to order. The staff seems slightly disinterested in their job. The dining room isn 't as clean as I would like, but it isn 't 'dirty '. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a good burger."

"Overall this is a solid little sandwich shop. The sandwiches have always been nice and toasted, sides are standard. Seating is quaint and is a nice break from the corporate setting. Staff was quick and professional. Only knock is that prices skew high it seems. A couple of the combos seem to be around 50 cents of savings, I suggest just a sandwich and a side if you desire. It's a nice change from the usual but wouldn't be my every day spot."

"We're new to Iowa so we've been eating our way around the Des Moines area and trying out restaurants that we haven't been to before. My daughter and I walked into Famous Dave's at around 6:30pm today. We didn't receive a greeting even though there were employees standing there. I approached an employee and said 2 for dinner. The employee spent a good amount of time fumbling for silverware and menus. We were seated and a waitress came and took our drink order and delivered it to us and said she'd give us a few minutes and she'd be back to take our order. I watched the waitress visit with a person that appeared to be the manager, then she visited with other employees. Then i saw her go into the bathroom, I think. She was gone for awhile and during this time my daughter and I talked about leaving because there are so many places to eat around town that we didn't need to wait this long. As we agreed to leave $3 on the table for my ice tea, the waitress came out from wherever she was and looked our way. I told my daughter she was headed our way and started to put the $3 back in my purse thinking we'd get to order our food because we really wanted to try the bbq. Sadly the waitress went to the table behind us and asked the customers if they needed a to go box to which the customers said no. So she left without even saying a word to us. That was our queue to leave. We ended up going to a competitor, Jethro's BBQ and had a great experience. Now I know why Dave's parking lot was pretty empty compared to Jethro's parking lot Jethro's has great food and great service. I don't know if Famous Dave's has good food, what I do know is they have lousy service. I don't think I'll go back to that location but if I'm in another town or state and see a Famous Dave's, maybe I'll stop in."

"It's sort of hit or miss here, but more hits. Today got the take 2. Pick 2 out of these 3: cheesy bread, 1/2 pizza, salad. $10.50. Add a drink for $1. I did the half pizza and caprese salad. The salad was delish. They let you drizzle on your own balsamic so it's to your specific taste. Good idea. For my pizza had Canadian bacon, sausage, mushroom, green olives. Traditional crust. They were skimpy on the cheese today. Oh well. The crust got plenty crisp for me while cooking- also oh well. Still good flavor. I enjoy their traditional sauce. It took about 15 minutes to get my order and it ended up at $12 with tax. Plenty of seating available or you can get carry out."

"Choose earlier in the week to set up reservations for Fleming's, wanted to do something classy and atmospheric. Had a great time here, staff were very accommodating and treat you well. We had fun joking with them too. Loved the main dining area, it was dark but lit enough to see and had comfortable seating. The menu is centered around their steaks and few seafood entrees which doesn't bother me but may bother others who are looking for more. Also have a pretty decent selection of Wine/Alcohol. I'm sorry I couldn't remember our main waiters name but he did an amazing job. They start you off with some nice Sourdough bread and couple of homemade dips which were pretty good. For appetizer we went with Sweet Chili Calamari, it was the first time eating Calamari glazed with a Chili Sauce and I loved it. Then for the main meal I had to go with the Prime Tomahawk cooked perfectly to medium rare and it was one of the best steaks I've had. Also choose the Petite Filet Mignon and side dishes of Mashed Potatoes and Chipotle Cheddar Mac Cheese. For dessert we went with their signature Chocolate Lava Cake which was amazing, and also the Creme Brulee. Overall I loved our dining experience here and will return again. They have a 4 Course Dinner that changes every couple of months, I'll definitely want to return to try the 4 Course menu next time, and may be a thing were we visit everytime it changes."

"First time here and it was amazing, phenomenal service which was a great change from other sit down restaurants we have been to lately. The food was absolutley delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a cold night. Every employee that we had interactions with were exceptionally nice and always smiling. Never had to ask for refills or extras, the house salad dressing was a phenomenal recommendation and we will definitely make this a regular stop from now on. "It was NYE, but it was t crazy busy. The staff seemed like it was, though, as they were pretty short and not very friendly. When I asked what the servers favorites from the menu were she acted annoyed and replied that anything with an asterisk is an OPA favorite. That was a little disappointing as most servers give great suggestions after eating various items at their place of business. The good was good, not fantastic. There wasn’t anything really remarkable. With so many other choices in the area, we will not go back."

"Labor Day at about 630. Huge line out the door and an hour wait so we sat at the bar. Good choice on our part. The bartender/server was on it! Working like a crazy person yet keeping up with everything and had a smile to boot. BF had never ending soup and salad. I had a steak with fettuccine. We started with calamari and spiked strawberry lemonade. The calamari was PERFECT for us. Everything good. My steak cooked just as I ordered. Smallest critique for no dressing on the salad. But we probably don't need it! Other reason they missed 5 stars is lots of dirty tables/dishes sitting around. Lack of help probably the culprit there but still unappealing. Ended with tiny little mousse cakes that were just the right amount of dessert. Total $53. We tipped 25% cause Cory was killing it and we had a gift card to boot. Good experience!"

"Very good food and service! Once we got there, Trey set us right away. Laney was the waitress. She bought our drinks and took our order in no time. The food was wonderful! Extrakudos to Laney for us everything we needed with a smile. The courtesy and professionalism shown in this place was second to none. Trey even cooked my food! Better work to cook the burger than I could ever do! We will definitely return to this place due to the performance of both of these people in this place. What really surprised this is that they both did the whole thing, at this point short employees (signs point out that once enter the restaurant). Kudos to Trey and Laney for all the great work they did while we were there on 06/11/22. Thank you."
