"Urban Cellar has always been a favorite, but there are ups and downs. We arrived before 4 and had decent service for drinks and appetizers, but our server also had to cover the bar. This meant that when business picked up, we were ignored and had to flag down someone else to take meal orders. The crab cakes and thin, crispy onion rings were great; the margherita pizza was okay.I appreciate menu changes, but I’m not happy with the current scallop preparation. Brussels sprouts with tomato jam are quite tasty, but would have been better with pork, beef or chicken. It overpowered the delicate scallops. I’ve had perfectly prepared scallops here before; this batch was left to sear a bit too long.We had a larger group and were seated at a high top, where the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. The foot rest is too low for many people, so your feet dangle. For me, the front of the chair seat cuts off circulation and my feet go numb. Next time, we’ll request a low table."
