York is a historic city in Pennsylvania known for hearty American cuisine, including cheesesteaks and pretzels, with a strong influence from Pennsylvania Dutch culture.

"I walked in and ordered, I swear on my family’s life the food arrived at my table within 2 Minutes. I went to wash my hands and it came as I was walking back to my table. The food was excellent and the staff was very polite. A staff member was walking around to help people and offer assistance. They gave me a refill on my way out as well. Hands down the best experience I have had with any restaurant. It was so clean, and lively."

"The pizza is so wonderful at Anthony's that I called and told them so after we ate it!!! The delivery service is fast and the drivers are super friendly. They even brought me dessert from their food sector! No bad word to say about Anthony's!!!"

"I 'm always a bit suspect of the service this restaurant delivers. I always seem to have to wait so damn ? long to be served. I don 't know if it 's because I 'm usually by myself. Today the waiter came out within 5 minutes with my water (I 'm sitting outside). Damn near 20 minutes went by...I had to call the restaurant to have them send him out to me. Meanwhile the couple beside be, their waiter had been out at least 4 times...took their order and food delivered! I in turned asked him to send my waiter out. This guy came out and instead of leading with an apology he say, you 're so quiet out here. ?"

"Very comfortable space with roaring fire. Food is always very good and often quite inventive. I had a pasta special with clams they had personally dug that morning and with pasta they had made with their new past maker. Simple dish, but delicious! My wife had a more complex salmon dish served with fruit and hominy. We live locally and have gone to many restaurants in the area. We find we like some for awhile, but then we tire of them... not Walker's! We have been a number of times and it has always been great!"

"The food is delicious but Friday night is the best time to visit. Our waitress tonight was horrible sat for an hour without being checked on, she never came back after our drink order to even see if we wanted to order food. Turns out the waitress had falling ill out back.... Over all a good place to go on Friday nights when the good staff is on shift"

"Last night I attended a wedding catered by Revival Social Club. Cocktail hour: bartenders were friendly and the two signature drinks were well and consistently made. There was never a long line waiting to get the first round of drinks- that 's a pet peeve of mine. The bartenders were professionals that kept the line moving. Butlered snacks were deviled eggs and foccacia. Both excellent. I had more foccacia than I probably should have. Hummus Veggie boards filled the room- everything was fresh and carefully arranged. As a former wedding photographer, I always knew what we were in for judging by the meat and cheese boards during cocktail hour. You can tell the thought that is put into the catering when the bread and veggies are as good as they were. Dinner: The bride and groom wanted stations set up as opposed to a formal seated dinner. This is my preferred style of dining, too, so I loved it! If I say 'tacos and sliders ' you may not immediately think of wedding food, but the mahi mahi tacos and the general tso 's cauliflower are so well prepared that all I heard was rave reviews from all of the guests. All of the servers and the manager had smiles on their faces throughout service, and it never felt rushed or chaotic. Most wedding food is forgettable. This will be memorable. Great job, Revival!"

"First time visiting this restaurant. We came with friends who had been there before. Food: my wife and I both got the crab soup which, by itself, is 5 stars. Very creamy, not thick or pasty like typical cream soup base soups. I got the NY strip steak, something I rarely do, but took a chance. Ordered it very, very, rare and it came cooked a little more than I would have liked, but still in the neighborhood of rare. It was very good, the spinach and fingerling potatoes were top notch. My wife got the fish and chips. French fries, not chips, were acceptable but not exceptional. The fish was firm but a bit dry. You can almost see that in the picture. Another in our party got a mushroom ravioli dish which was phenomenal...I tasted it. My friend got the short rib which he said was wonderful but I did not try it. Service: this was lacking. Our server was just fine but I suspect slowed significantly by the kitchen. Our appetizers came staggered...it should not have taken 20 minutes to get soup.(The restaurant was not slammed) She came to the table at one point and apologetically told us the soup would be ready soon. I saw several orders of oysters delivered to other tables but did not see them on the menu anywhere. The two issues that reduced the rating from 5 to 4 stars was the service speed and the dry fish. I would certainly go there again. The prices were appropriate."

"Stopped in on a whim traveling to Augusta Maine. Service was awesome. The menu was small-ish but we'll rounded and unique. Our kiddo loved her cheese burger, they actually seasoned the patty which is unusual. The parmesan haddock was cooked perfectly- my hubs got the Sirloin Steak and was cooked to temperature- he said the glaze sauce knocked it out of the park. Well done"

"If you go here absolutely do not order a steak. I don't know what cuts they get but it can't be what they advertise on the menu. I got their prime ribeye steak and there is no way it was a prime cut of meat. It had 0 fat in it and tasted just like a hamburger patty. They use 0 salt and 0 pepper and no butter or anything when they cook their steaks. I've had their sirloin steak twice and their prime ribeye once and you can't tell the difference between the two. You can literally buy a $6 chuck steak from food Lion and cook it on the stovetop and it's 3x as good as what they serve. Rest of their food is great and the service is amazing. If not for that they would get 2 stars at best."

"I really wanted to love this pizza, especially because I'm from NY! I went for the first time yesterday and got pastries and they were pretty good and went back today to try their pizza. I was disappointed because it smells soooo well on the way home. When opening the box, I saw pizza that looked pretty dry. I ordered the white pizza and a cheese pizza. When from NY my mother and I were really on the white pizza, but we were sadly disappointed. It was so flat and dry and felt like we were eating crackers. But the crust is very good and I think if they add some more cheese and sauce?d be a hit! I'll give him another way, and how? ll be better off the stove. Not sure, but I'll let it go! Maybe you should request extra sauce and cheese when ordering. Crust is a 10/10!"

"Fairly new to York and only just discovered this place. It certainly lives up to its name. I have never seen such a selection of beer on tap. Even more are bottled and canned. I was very pleased with the draught I ordered. Great vibe, decent menu, good prices (especially if you go at happy hour. I often have out of town guests and this one place I will feel comfortable taking them."

OuR server was TOP notch and super attentive even being busy. 30% tip which is not my usual but she was super great! Our breakfast was delicious their hollandaise sauce is amazing but the poached egg was slightly over done. "We were excited to visit this establishment. We ordered burgers and pickle fries. The fries were amazing and the ranch dipping sauce is something that would go well with everything. The problem was the burgers they were sent back 3 times then we just took them home to go. We ordered medium rare the first time they were well done the second time they were so rare you could taste the fridge and raw beef. The third time they were still very raw. The waitress was great and apologized being that it was the cooks first week the water however was amazing and cold. The place is gorgeous other than that we won’t be back."

"It was super busy for such a small place on a Saturday night. We called around 630p and they said the sushi bar was open and they had a table open, but only did 3 reservations every 30 mins. Since we were 5 mins away that didnt work for us. When we arrived the only seating available without a wait was the sushi bar, which was fine with us. Service was quick, our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I'm on a gluten free diet and he was able to make suggestions taking that into consideration. My husband and I each got a roll, a soda, and an entree, and I got dessert. All together it was under $40, so I would definitely recommend giving it a try!"

"We went for dinner on a Saturday night, around 7:30. The space is charming, with a cozy, upscale ambience. When our server, Dante came to the table, he asked if we had been there before and after finding we had not, gave us a brief spiel regarding the history of the restaurant and the food sources. I just love a good, professional server and Dante was amazing. Prompt and knowledgeable, courteous and a bit witty. He was there whenever we needed him (he ever helped clean a bit of ricotta from my seatmates shoe! , but never hovered! Thank you Dante for restoring my faith that there are still classic servers out there! I would also like to commend the kitchen. We had a sampling of salads and appetizers and everything was exceptional. Extremely fresh ingredients prepared in an innovative fashion. Try the charred octopus! We only had one glass of wine and allowed the bartender to choose a dry red for us. Her choice was superb! I will be back Parking: Found a spot right out front"

"this place is fantastic! the first several times in which I stopped was to bring my older mother in law a bakery contract. my man and I live from the city, but often visit our way to bring them a meal or a tasty bite. the baked were absolutely exquisite. I don't exaggerate. I noticed about a year ago that they had started eating lunch. the owner's son worked and he told me he designed the whole lunch menu that was full of variety and interest. Although I am not a vegetarian, there were many veg friendly items and all menu items were healthier prepared with no additives such as msg and minimally processed food ingredients. the young man was very willing to answer my questions about the ingredients, methods of preparation, etc. I really wish this place was closer. the food is excellent and the owner janina as well as her son eric and all the people I have seen work there are very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry I can't give a non-vegetarian restaurant with 5 kühen, because it deserves that."

"With all the great reviews, i have been wanting to try this cafe for sometime now. We finally had a chance. I love the modern/contemporary theme, it's clean and sleek. There are many food and bakery options. I was hoping for a a few more coffee syrup options, but I went wth my go to a caramel latte and hubby had the same. We chose to eat in. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We received our food items well before our coffee which was a bit odd. The server asked if there was anything else and we told her our coffee. They came out quickly after that. The flavor was amazing. As far as the taste, one of the best roasts I've had. The baked blueberry oatmeal with steamed milk was amazing and hubby enjoyed his sandwich but did say the egg was cool, so I am only speculating they heat it up as you order. Location is perfect. Parking on street or as we did in the garage just a block away. There are many places to walk to as well as the Central Market. Definitely a place to try and we will be back."
