"Even though I typically avoid chain restaurants, I have to say that when it comes to Gordo, I can't resist. They serve some of the best Burritos and Tacos in town. The portions are generous and they often feature special taco options. The assembly line is quick so you won't be waiting long for your food. Seating may be limited, but you can always take a stroll down Solano Avenue and find a spot to sit. The protein choices are fantastic, with the Carnitas being a personal favorite. I highly recommend giving Gordo a try."

"It was a nice afternoon, so we asked in the reservation to sit outside if possible. On arrival, the hostess offered us a table on the deck. The deck appears crowded, but the tables are actually quite spacious, we never felt cramped. We started with poke nachos, a brilliant app with fried wontons instead of tortillas. It was fantastic a very generous part. Many ahi. We're going back. We both had the Buffalo Chicken Mac cheese. Perfect mix of bechemel cheese. Even reheated residues were creamy delicious. We enjoyed playing the trivia on the big TV behind the bar. Overall an excellent experience. We will definitely come back!"

"We went here as a family and really enjoyed it. I liked that there is a large separate section of vegan options on the menu to simply order it. We got my toddler single blueberry pancakes and had a tofu scrambble and virgin **** Mary. The villain had a sweet sauce that I didn't like super and my husband said he preferred my homemade, but it was so nice to go somewhere and try something new and k ow that the staff is on veganism know. We will definitely return. I really want to try the French toast!"

"We are a group of four, and it's become my go-to place for satisfying my spicy cravings. We ordered a variety of dishes, including Toothpick Lamb, Jelly Noodles, Layered Pig Ear, Beef Combination Frog with Golden Soup, and Mongolian Beef. I must start by raving about the Toothpick Lamb – the flavor is absolutely incredible. The only downside is that the portion size is a bit small, but the taste more than makes up for it. The Pig Ear dish also left a positive impression – it's flavorful and quite tasty. However, for those who can't handle too much spiciness, it's essential to take note of the menu's indicated spice levels. My tolerance is relatively high, but some of my family members found themselves sweating while eating, so proceed with caution if you're spice-sensitive. On the other hand, the Mongolian Beef was a real highlight. It was delicious, and I have no complaints about it whatsoever. Unfortunately, the Beef Combination Frog with Golden Soup left something to be desired. The portion of the frog was disappointingly small, and the way it was cut was a bit odd. "This place is my favorite place to eat in the Mid-Willamette Valley- I kid you not. It manages to capture the true essence of Vietnamese cuisine while also making it fresh, modern, and excellent in its presentation. You order at the counter when you get there but then get table service, which is always excellent. I love everything on the menu, but my favorites are the beef pho, pork Bahn mi, and combination noodle salad (with a Vietnamese iced coffee to wash It down). These are amazing, sweet people who own it. We drive 40 minutes to eat here as often as we can. We love you, Ba’s!"

"Illusive is the name of this restaurant and that may be due do its location. You would never know it was here unless you already knew about it. It is hidden out of view behind other buildings on Ferry Steet. But once you do find it, you won't be disappointed. Illusive was recently a finalist in a competition for the best burger in NY, and with how much I love burgers I decided to see if they earned it. I ordered the Empire Smash burger, which was their entry for best burger, and honestly after trying burgers from most of the other finalists (and the winner), the Empire Smash gets my vote as the best burger. It has two smashed beef patties, candied bacon, cheddar, lettuce, bourbon BBQ sauce and on a toasted brioche roll. The burger has soooo much flavor! Their bacon is super crispy and delicious on its own, and is at home on this burger. The beef is excellent and very juicy, it is the core of this amazing burger. I wish I got some more of the BBQ sauce to take home, it likely would be great on anything or even to eat on its own! I don't get how this burger wasn't the winner and only a finalist, I went to Syracuse and had the winning burger the day before, and it was not as good as this. My only real complaint with the burger was that I felt it had too much raw onion, but that is a personal preference and I still ate it and enjoyed everything immensely. The burger also came with home made potato chips, they were also great, they freshly made and perfectly cooked to be crispy but not burnt. The resturant and the bathrooms were clean, the staff are also excellent and friendly. Prices are reasonable, parking is plentiful, and overall this place has a great vibe. I look forward to coming back again sometime."

"This place is a hub for food carts. They have super good food, but are fairly expensive, depending on what you get. The ice cream is probably the best bang for your buck, and super good. My mother in law had the seafood cart and she went back for seconds to take leftovers home. I guess they had Maine Lobster, and she was ecstatic about that. I had the Tai food some buns and rice and it was delicious. My husband, and the other three people in our party all had the Hawaiian and all thought it was great, but the pork was too salty and the mac salad wasn't the top of their list for ones they've had elsewhere. The environment was pretty good, although it was freezing inside, so we sat outside. However, as the sun went down, we got really cold and then also had to deal with mosquitos. On top of that, there were a TON of children running around all of the tables yelling and playing games. They were cute and all, but I was already tired and would have loved to sit inside and enjoy some quiet, however it was too cold to do so. You buy your drinks inside at the bar, which makes it a little inconvenient that you have to go to two different places. So if you take someone that has walking issues, maybe stop for your drinks first before heading outside to the carts. They also have slot machines inside in the back, that all of our men enjoyed going to. My husband won $30, so he left happy. All in all, it was a pretty decent experience... but bring layers so you can adjust to your options! Also pets welcome! Parking: We didn't have an issue finding parking. Kid friendliness: There were kids EVERYWHERE, just running around and playing games with one another. DEFINITELY a kid friendly place!"

"Absolutely amazing. I would leave it at that however I know this establishment deserves more. We sat down on a Friday night. Ordered staples (Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Panang Curry, etc) food came out quickly was piping hot and perfectly flavored. Definitely top 3 (possibly the best) Thai places I’ve been to and that includes NYC, Long Island, and some small places in between. Service was smiling and there when you needed them. "this is a classic old Italian restaurant in albany. it is narrow inside, with greeting at the door next to the tables, and the server station in the es pane too. a feature that has been added since covid is a sitting area free with a soon-and-a-half that has fortunately added to its capacity. we were probably not here in 3 years, but we immediately realized our greeting that seemed to be the front of the house manager. obviously the workers are satisfied there; they are experienced, professional and seamless. we were looking for some old favorite dishes, and although they have reduced the size of the menu, the server did not hesitate to insure us the kitchen what we wanted. we had auberginenrollatini as an appetizer that is still heavenly. they also formed a fresh bowl of pasta fagiole on request, which was full of brewing light, but taste when they become. the journeys still come with an salate. the greens were very fresh, and everyone enjoyed their choice to dress gorgonzola, tomato basilikum and italian. to order were kalbsalzimbocca, kalbsal quatro stagione (four seasons) with spinat, artichokes, roasted red paprika and pfefferoncini. one of the specials was the kalbsbruschetta, a baked veal snell with a white wine sauce and a Bruschetta cup. our entrees to round was pasta carbonara, perfectly prepared. we were filled but decided to order mini cannolis, crisp and tasty. this is not a mother and pop establishment with comparable trips, but if you want a really Italian bistro meal with service and food top notch, this is for them."

We were trying to decide what to do for our anniversary...do we go to the coast, do we go to our regular haunts, and I turned to yelp to see what else was there. The reviews for Sweet Red Bistro sounded interesting so we thought we'd try it. What a great choice!!! Everything was excellent. Sauces were great, nuanced and creative. Wine list had many nice selections. The dessert we ordered was just terrific. And the icing on the cake, or crème de la crème was two complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate the occasion. What a class act. We will certainly be back. Thank you for making our anniversary special."
