"I visited Spikes for the first time the other day! This is a pretty cool hot dog spot. It was recommended by my best friend, and I am glad I tried it. We are both vegetarians, and they have a large handful of vegetarian options! The atmosphere is very family friendly, the décor is pretty awesome with a lot of old school photos of classic cars. Even the register counter has a car door for decoration! The restaurant is very clean and has a good amount of seating for how small this location is. There is little curb parking, so I recommend just taking the T or an uber to this location. The staff is very friendly and patient as I was indecisive in selecting my order. This place offers a lot more than just hotdogs, and I enjoyed my hotdogs so much I just might get more and try out their veggie burgers! I ordered the All American Veggie dog meal and it was so good. They have a good selection of fountain drinks, the fries were curly fries and crispy! The hot dog really spoke for itself, the size of the veggie dog was perfect for the bun and the toppings were not overloaded, but they were very generous on the amount. All for a great price! My guest and I shared the Freaken Hot Hotdog, it was super good. . . but needs come with a warning sign. That, or maybe my guest was right I’m just “weak.” The hours here are awesome, come in for a late nigh bite."

"A visit to Korean Home Taste on Allston's renowned Korean Street revealed a culinary experience that is a delight for any Korean food aficionado.-0 waiting time-great for lunch-served quick-try Japchae if you are noodle loverNotably, one can find a seamless dining experience here, exemplified by a zero waiting time, especially commendable during the busy lunch hour. However, a couple of dishes left room for improvement. The Japchae, a stir-fried noodle dish traditionally seasoned with a sweet and savory sauce, was unfortunately a tad on the soggy side. The texture of the noodles was missing that delectable al dente quality that truly makes this dish shine. The marinated Kalbi, a quintessential Korean dish, also could have used a minor tweak. A reduction in sweetness and a punchier garlic taste would have greatly enhanced the flavor profile. Incorporation of fruits like pears, customary in authentic Kalbi marinades for natural sweetness and tenderness, could have added a layer of complexity to the taste.Despite these minor shortcomings, the overall experience was highly satisfactory. The authentic ambience, combined with the heartwarming service and generally good food, makes Korean Home Taste a worthy stop for Korean cuisine in Allston. Rest assured, I'm eagerly looking forward to another visit to this cozy spot, hoping that they consider these suggestions for an even more rewarding culinary experience."
