"The food is great and the onsite management is amazing but that is the positives I have to give. I order Carryout all the time from this restaurant and there are a few major drawbacks.Firstly, the servers almost always mess up orders over the phone and either put in an incorrect order or request that the food is prepared incorrectly.Secondly, whilst the management at the restaurant is very professional, a number of the staff do not seem to enjoy their work. I’m unsure if it’s a consequence of low wages, or low-paid employees being tasked with processing online orders.Thirdly, I do not agree with charging a gratuity on pick up orders especially since I’m typically not eating in and the service is sometimes mediocre. A few months back, fees of up to 20% were being charged by servers and I had to bring it up to management to get them reduced to 10%. Fees should only be assessed when one’s eating in.Fourthly, options for ordering online, even on Uber Eats are not as comprehensive as in-store, for instance, it is near impossible to order spicy fish online. Staff have hung up on me a few times that I’ve called to inquire about ordering online via Uber Eats, seemingly because any tips will be paid to Uber Eats and the business loses out overall on the sale.Lastly, when it’s time to make payment, servers almost always disappear with one’s credit card to the back of the store and payment takes a great deal of time. Ideally, mobile points of sale should be used instead at the front of the store or a fixed terminal setup to take orders to reduce the risk associated with such practice.I truly do hope the restaurant’s owners take this feedback in good stead and I will update my review if the quality of the ordering experience improves."
