"I used to eat at Tony Roma‘s as a kid. Today was the first time I had been back in more than 20 years. My husband never ate here before, so I decided to bring him for Father’s Day. It was pretty good because there wasn’t any ridiculous wait and there was an available table in the bar area (so we sat right away). The food was pretty good. I had a shrimp and lobster pasta and my husband had a steak with a watermelon lemonade. Service was great and the server was very nice (I forgot her name. I think it was Laura or something. She rocked a slick back, short pony). The bread was really good. Overall, my husband had a great first visit here. We will return again."

"Admittedly, I was not going to dine in based on the most recent reviews in regards to wait time and staff but my gut deemed today’s visit necessary. A little info to start. 2pm on a Wednesday for one person and the restaurant was approximately 15% full. I was seated almost immediately and could not have been happier as I was on my lunch break. I ordered the 10pc bone-in meal with fries and veggies. Half spicy garlic and half desert heat, thank me later. My order arrived in just a little under 10 minutes and everything was great. The wings and fries were cooked perfectly and the veggies weren’t bruised or visibly aging. Luis and the rest of the staff were very attentive and in no way rude or condescending. In the end, going against my better judgement paid off. I advise you do the same and grab some wings!"

"Order was incorrect, food was cold, lettuce was old yellowish. They just threw two big pieces of lettuce in my burger. Curly fires were greasy and seemed to be all the little pieces at the bottom of the fry bag. I was beyond upset. I called manager and will be going to have that entire order REDONE!! ID RATHER a refund."

"No one likes their food sitting around under a heat lamp, if you ask for something hot and fresh they'll tell you we just made it but when you get it you know it's been sitting, I hate guessing if the food is going to be right, I love it when it's right but I hate it when I have to go back and ask them to redo it, I love Louisiana Fried Chicken"

"that was my first visit in 917. our server hailey was great. she deserves an a. not only was she a big server, she was so knowledgeable about the Porsche experience and she shared her enthusiasm and made our visit twice as beautiful. I will recommend the simulator experience to my friends and their children. I am 76 and my friend celebrated her 85th birthday and we did the simulators and the young who worked there were great. they laughed and talked us through things and made the experience so much fun. kudos. we will be back to lunch and would like to see more action on the stretch. thanks for a great time. bars and bars"

"Ordered a famous star meal with diet Dr. Pepper. Got home, received a beyond meat famous star instead. Came back to exchange my order. They had me waiting and continued to fulfill their current orders even though I had to drive back on a mistake they made. Exchanged my order, got home, sipped on my soda and realized they gave me a regular Coke instead. This is a huge mistake they made as I am a Type 1 diabetic so drinking a soda that isn't diet because the worker made this mistake can have me end up in the hospital. How can they get my drink order and my burger order wrong (2 of 3 items)? Not sure, but this is enough for me to never go to this location again."

"When me and my bf first walked in, we noticed: A. How small this place was and B. Many people ordering ahead of us already new what they wanted Pretty intimidating for a first-timer, but the lady serving the food (everything is buffet style) was SO KIND. She walked us through the many items they served and even let us try some. Everything we put in our mouths was so fresh. Many meats cooked in coconut cream, I didn't know squid could be so delicious until she offered me a sample! We got the corned beef, turkey tails, some type of creamy tuna bake, clams baked in coconut cream, sausages, chop suey and curry. She noted that the bread was very good and upon tasting it, I immediately bought a loaf for my mom too. We made french toast the next day and it was AMAZING. Imagine my surprise when the woman who had taken so much of her time making me and my bf feel welcome told me she was the owner. She said she prepares the food and her husband is responsible for the delicious bread and desserts. It is so rare these days to find people who love what they do and give that love in return to what they put out to their customers. This is one of those places. If you are looking for a spot in Carson that sells fresh Samoan cuisine and baked goods (and the best bread around period) and does it with top notch customer service, you will find it at Poly Grill."

"I have wanted to try the food at Fresh Meaty for some time and finally ate there yesterday (Halloween). No tricks here, only treats! I had the Meaty Burger with cheese and split an order of Chili Cheese Fries. From the fist bite to the last, my roommate and me were thrilled by the taste of the food. With each bite we committed about the quality of their food. The portions were sizable and we left with full bellies. The service was great, and we were treated to the sweet, sweet sounds of 70's R B. Limited street parking, but lots of space in the parking garage."

"Hot dogs were good and the toppings were adequate and tasty. HOWEVER the chili cheese fries for $5.29 were a total rip off for a tiny little portion. Seriously... They should be embarrassed to charge that much for such a paltry amount of food. The overall price point of the menu is generally a good value, but this was ridiculously out of line. "When I arrived at the restaurant, there was only one cashier available and it seemed like the kitchen was struggling to keep up with two people eating. It took about 25-30 minutes just to get my order of rice with chicken. The rice was a bit salty, but it was still good. The service was slow and inefficient."

"Our visit to Restaurant 917 was exceptional. I dined for lunch with out-of-town friends, but as a local, I was equally impressed. Restaurant 917 is located on the second floor of the Porsche Experience Center in Torrance. Upon entering, everyone is required to sign in at the front desk and obtain a visitor 's badge. From there, you walk through a door they unlock, to a hallway and up the stairs. From there, we were cheerfully greeted by the host and met with an amazing dining space with a view of the impressive driver development track, which is extremely entertaining. Equally entertaining was each dish, beautifully presented by the very attentive wait staff. We ordered a variety of appetizers, each one a conversation piece. Each raw, seasonal oyster was perfectly seasoned with apple cider mignonette and their signature 917 hot sauce. Something new I 've never tried but thoroughly enjoyed was the Rabbit Mousse. It is lighter and smoother in texture than chicken liver mousse, and was served with candied carrots, balsamic vinegar, and toast. The flavors melded wonderfully, and the carrots complimented it well. We also shared the Fromage Plate and Charcuterie, because we love trying different cheeses and meats from all over. My entree was the Portabello Mushroom Garden. I call it a very 'photogenic ' dish. I actually ordered it because I saw a gorgeous photo of it on Yelp. I 'm not a vegan (although the dish is), but it was a dish so pretty and Instagrammable, I had to have it. My friend had the Pork Shank (which I tried), which was quite a large portion, she actually had some leftover to take home. The Pork Shank came with cheese polenta, which is a nice change from mashed potatoes. Our other friend had the Beef and Dumplings, which I didn 't try, but she said it was really good. Make sure you save room in your stomach for the desserts! We love to share and I have trouble deciding, so we got four. If you have to choose one, I would go with the yogurt panna cota!"
