"Pita Gourmet holds a special place in my heart. The interior and the furniture may seem simple, but do not let this fool into thinking, the food is the same (this only lets you know that they are more concentrated on food and their loyal customers). This jewel appeared many years ago in my hometown and stood among all pizza shops, delis, bars and fast food chains, as a healthier option with the potential to introduce its customers into a lively new culture of food. With a wide but simple menu of appetizers, platters, wraps, pages and desserts, this family-run business breaks out, which could be the best food in the city of Cortland. If you ever get through, make sure to stop and pamper. Even after I left Cortland and moved to New York City, I couldn't find a Lebanese restaurant humble or a restaurant in the Middle East that makes food half as good. The best way to eat here is with a large group of friends. Start with a large mazza combo and make sure Hummus, baba gannush, and tabouleh. If you want, the Falafels are also good to exchange for one of them. As a duck, all kebabs over rice are amazing, but the vegetarian plate with falafels is also a clear victory. Make sure to look at the most amazing baklava you have ever had anywhere and take a cup of rice pudding home. The packs (usually all are amazing), but are literally the best as in-the-go food for lunch. Follow the restaurant on Facebook or Instagram to keep up-to-date with what specials they have, like Curry Chicken Wednesday and Fish Friday are super popular and the food is delicious (I know no surprise after what I just told you). Please, if you go anywhere near Cortland, stop because you don't have Lebanese food outside the Middle East."
