"This place is average, at best. The food is OK. They are obviously under staffed, which I completely understand. Just this Saturday we came in for dinner. (November 2021]. We had been there previously but this Saturday night they were very busy. We literally stood at the front door for over ten minutes. Yes, it was over ten minutes because I timed it. Several staff members walked right by us many many times. The bartender was within arms reach of me. Not one of them ever acknowledged us. I understand that you are busy and I’m willing to wait but for Gods sake at least acknowledge us standing there. They did not. After eleven minutes of being completely ignored; we left. An average bar with average food and horse s customer service. We won’t be back. Not worth it. Update: 12/2023: This place has closed."

"For special delivery instructions, we asked that the driver be super fast and super quiet while dropping the food at the door, since we have a loud dog and easily disturbed babies. Best driver EVER He parked with his lights shining away from the house, snuck up to the door, dropped the pizza, did a quick spin turn, then ran away. Our dog never had a clue he was there. We felt ridiculous leaving delivery instructions like that, but cannot express how much we appreciated this driver! 10/10. The very definition of a Good Guy Greg. Thank you!"

"Service was good and they were able to fit a table of three quickly at 6pm on a Saturday.I was recommended this place by a friend, who happens to be a cook for a bar. We ordered smoked salmon, rainbow, california, and Marc’s Fusion rolls—combining avocado, cilantro, tuna, and cheese maybe. Not bad, but kind of sloppy. My boys said the sushi was “pretty good.” I also ordered the pork chop dinner, medium. It was charred in several spots. Some of it was well and others medium, so a bit inconsistent. The pieces were massive and that did not disappoint. The mango side dish was excellent. But it didn’t have much flavor and was watery. The rice was undercooked. Two small pieces of asparagus. I was asked if I wanted to add onions or mushrooms. I am not a fan of add ons/extra charges so I said no. Apologies if it wasn’t not extra.I ordered a “Tom Tom” ginger cocktail with real ginger, lemon, and gin. It was $7 which isn’t the steepest drink you can get, but it was rather unimpressive.Desert was cheesecake with cherry on top. One of my sons said this was the best thing. It was doused in whip cream, which was probably done for the kids.The place is kind of dumpy on the outside and not in the best strip mall. There’s a Dunkin Donuts beside it and a few Mexican-American businesses and an “Empire Beauty” business next to it. A “cozy” environment inside, however some things are needing to be updated, like some drop ceiling tiles that are clearly ripped and others that are popping out of the frame. Because they are ceiling items and painted black, some people might not notice.Total bill was $97, left 15% tip. I may repeat. But probably not anytime soon."

"I didn't feel like leaving the house tonight and I really wanted a burger, so Murphy's popped up so I figured it would be nice to try out! I sure am glad I did. The burger I had ordered was cooked just how I requested, the toppings were fresh and delicious, and the fries were nice and crispy. A very filling portion for the price makes it all the more worth it. I hope to try more menu features another time I am feeling like some good Irish grub!"

We dressed up and went out for our 25 year anniversary looking forward to a nice quiet meal in that elegant atmosphere, some Hoffman house prime rib... mmmmmm delicious. We got there, friday night.. plenty of parking, ...plenty of seats,.(Which seemed odd ..Waitress seated us, i looked around.. place looked dead, except for some drunken dudes slurping beer in sweatpants. We browsed over your new shortened bar menu, i felt a tear, we saw the salad bar gone, and no steaks, and no prime rib on Friday night! (SAT ONLY There is no longer a fine dining area, just loud TVS hanging everywhere. This was Not the etsablishment we'd visited for the last 25 years. We promptly walked out without ordering. (A bit embarrassing, I've never done that. You HAD a HIGHLY rated. well established rockford fine dining staple. NOW you have just another bar/hotel restaurant. I get it, I read the news, you're focusing on your catering..... but did you really need to abandon this awesome restaurant to do so? What were you thinking?"

"Newly Relocated to Rockford, IL. I went in for a Dinner Meal approx 5 p.m. Mon. 10/31/22. Service was very slow in the Drive-thru so I went inside. Front End Cashiers were not better. "Son! I been doing service call all over America for 45 years. This was the best BBQ I ever ate. The meat was tender and not greasy. The sauces compliment the smokey meat.
